I like your doors, but you build different that here jajaja 🤣, for example when someone put a window here use cement to bond, not screw. I imagine that is custom of your country. We met in the Rey supermarket 👍🏻 Regards.
The rain vent looks as though it will trap water between the security bar frame and window because of the tight fitting ? Hopefully there is a drainage gap underneath the security bars and I can't tell if the sill slopes outwards. Hard to see on video. Good job though. 👍😊
It rained a lot during construction but it seems to be getting less and less now that the rainy season is almost over. They say you shouldn't build in the rainy season... we are so glad we did!
If you start with one block.... and slowly add the next... soon you'll have a house :-) I am pretty sure you could do anything you set your mind to also :-) Thanks for watching and for commenting.... it all helps...
The ones we bought were about the biggest you can get in the hardware shops but you can probably have some made or order from Panama City if you want. Most of our windows are either 1.2 x 1.5 or 1.2 x 1.8.... In Panamanian houses I have also noticed that windows are quite small. We had to use what we could get at short notice and also we have a budget which isn't that great although we spent more on our windows than most people would as they were the most expensive ones in the shop... the others were really bad quality. The other really annoying thing is that most windows are sliding windows so you can only open half the window at a time!
@@WeMovedToPanama We used Jalousie windows throughout our house. Yes they are a little old school and you have to keep them lubricated but they allow full 100% air flow when you crank them open. Also very reasonably priced.
Windows and Doora looks great. Amazing work as always. 👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you very much! We would have preferred more of an "open" look but we're going for safety over "looks" :-)
Ive been away for a while , you have made great progress. Much admiration for your determination in providing for you and your family.
Welcome back! Glad you're watching again.... Yes Christmas is coming!!!

I have noticed that the windows in the Panamanian houses are quite small. Is there a reason for this and are bigger windows available?
