Dr Pearce your contribution towards teaching us and making us wise to handle cases in such an easy understable way is really praiseworthy. Thank you so much 💓
I am so glad you posted this video. I see far too many clinicians causing more trauma than necessary with cannulas! Let's remember the reason we use cannulas to begin with lol
I really appreciate your video. All the techniques and tricks are the techniques I have used for years after being trained in diagnostic radiology and the "stirring"technique especially is one that made me cringe. I'm glad someone like you wants to help other injectors by posting.
Dr Pearce, thank you very much for these videos in which you explain injection techniques so well. They are really very useful for my medical practice.
i had my lips filled with a cannula once at a plastic surgeons office. i had the top dissolved a few weeks later. it felt like i had a roll of filler in my top lip. i am wondering your thoughts on when a person doesnt necessarily want a ton of volume, but rather just more crisp borders and definition and lip height. wouldn't a needle deliver better results in those instances? I dont feel like i was listened to for what i wanted and was just injected in a generic manner that he must just inject everyone with. it was a huge disappointment.
What about best technique to move cannula in multiple directions from a single point of access? Ie to access 4 quadrants of the cheek from a central point.
Every time I’ve had a cannula technique insertion of filler I have way more downtime, bruising, swelling. Which is confusing because I’ve heard it’s supposed to reduce those things.
I was distracted by the picture you have in the background 😂

I was thinking the same thing!

I think the cannula lets more material through

he don't talk about aspiration with the cannula, so it's hard to say
So informative and helpful for nurse in training.
This is best done by a doctor
What is the name of that fake head you’re practicing on?
What guage is your pilot needle? And then your preferred cannula?

You do need to be gentle, or it's worse

Would sterile KY jelly be helpful for a cannula to ease its way through?

Unnecessary trauma
