It's still amazing after all these years. I came back after earing it in a video talking about the lore of the Dwarves in Warhammer. It fit them so well.
Normally I tend to write long and lush sentences about music I like... but this is simply man-tearly glorious! Alone listening to it gives me a feeling of pure heroism. Thumbs up and on my watchlist.
Demoniacuz Wow, thanks for saying that! I really appreciate it. I'm glad you like this dwarf piece. Hopefully, I'll be posting another dwarf piece later this week. :)
Hi everyone! If you like this dwarf music, feel free to check out this other dwarf piece which is on a new channel I created with my brother Derek. Epic Dwarf Music - Iron Mountains Thanks a lot!
Hi Brandon! I really liked your piece. Nice melody and composition. Can I tell you how to make it even better? I find that the sound of brass-instrument has a different feel than synth-brass-sound. The puffs of air and vibration of the lips give an authentic feel to the notes. Is it possible to add these features to the brass-synths' you're using now? Maybe it's a money-thing but I believe it's the next step! Keep on keeping on! =)
Hello, Brandon Fiechter, Can I use this song for my Warhammer cinematic ? You will sayed in the description, don't worry I can understand if you say no, because I'm new on UA-cam.
As Benjamin La Count stated,Dwarfs were always known for their mechanical machinery and knowledge of mines. As this song represents perfectly the art of dwarfs,Brandon Fletcher has done an amazing job on the piece of music. But if you don't mind me saying,I would love to hear a Dwarven kingdom piece of music. If you can, watch 'Dwarven Halls' by Daniel Yount to get the gist of the music. But none the less your pieces of music continue to astound me and would love to see them in the Elder Scrolls games!
So inspired! I'm imagining that this is played as the work song of a mining crew hammering out a GIGANTIC section of stone to expand the size of the dwarfhold. Every work section times their pick blows to fall on the drums, the horns or some other part of the composition to keep up a good rhythm and avoid causing a cave-in from overworking a certain part of the tunnel. The band, meanwhile, is hanging in a suspended platform at the center of the tunnel, a highly honored and respected position. For even if there aren't many professional bards in dwarven society, these bards keep an entire major project running on time.
when i listen to this and close my eyes i can see an magnificent dwarven city wih rivers of molten gold flowing over diamond pipes and lakes of lava in the centre
Hail the king of under the mountain lol, the dwarves of erabor and iron hills alone can run a industrial revolution on middle earth, erabor mountain alone is a ultimate bank of gold, silver and gems etc , iron hills has produce steel products and gears etc and Dale town is the agriculture and trading market for them 3 places , erabor can fund to build a steel rail line system going from iron hills to erabor and Dale town and to the lake for fish to feed the dwarves and humans with plenty of meat etc, having horses or giant goats to pull the railcars full of people and goods back and forth, rail lines make things easier and faster to move around, and if they wanted to they could build a rail line to shire and Rohan and white city area and have a big trading economy going, maybe the dwarves can create a useful plow to plow multiple rows of farmland and maybe a harvester to collect the crops etc pulled by animals , essentially they could create a modern urban lifestyle feel with preindustrial technology
The anthem of hammers in the forge, of axes in the mine and beer in the beards! The anthem of architecture, strength and honor! I am proud for being so small!
Why would you use axes in the mine? Surely you would use pickaxes, or picks if you want to go for a shorter word. I know you probably got axes there from removing Pick from Pickaxe but axe brings to mind an entirely separate but still distinctly Dwarfish implement.
I'm still listening to these songs. I forgot when I started, but it was definitely years ago. Something about the combination of instruments and general architecture of the pieces makes it great on repeat.
Huge sounding score, stunningly arranged! Deep in the mountain, in the dark and the heat, The dwarves toil in rhythm, for victory they seek, A weapon they forge, deep in their mine, To banish their enemies for one last time. You sound incredible, bravo!
Sounds correct for a change! Dwarves didn't have alot of strings in their music. Deep, baritone voices overshadow them. Percussion like hammer blows or axe chops, horns and brass make up the meat with a little wind and string as dessert and garnish. VERY good job sir. Tried to click LIKE but it won't let me for some reason.
Brandon Fiechter Heh, I hope so. About 35 years ago I started a little fella by the name of Simeron Steelhammer, dwarven lorekeeper and craftsman. He's more well known then I am now HAR HAR HAR...keep the songs coming, I'll spend more funds!
Benjamin La Count Is this Simeron Steelhammer a DnD character or from another gaming system? Though considering the timeframe I'd hazard a guess that he was created for a 1st Edition DnD group. ;D
I just listened to this song, and I was really blown away with how it sounded. It made me actually believe I was a Dwarf myself, Mining with Thousands of other Dwarfs in a *huge* Mine inside an even *_BIGGER_* Mountain. Thank you for uploading this, Good Sir. :)
I always love coming back here from time to time to listen to this amazing music. The background also puts me in the mood too. Thanks for the awesome work man.
How I'd love to hear something like this in a Fantasy Game for the Dwarven Hub, I agree with the comments below, it sounds well to me downright epic capturing not only the music but the feel of a Dwarven city.
I don't like elves to much but they are also epic. But not as much epic as Dwarves! Ohh.. Just think about world where this pic is just normal city and this music is playing everywhere. Much races like dwarves, elves and much more. Without all modern guns, technology etc. Ohh man.. I'm depressed.. By the way... most epic music i heard!
Baruk khazad! Khazad ai-menu! Seriously, of all fantasy races, dwarves have got to be my favorite. Strong beer, strong as the rock from wich they carve their delvings, fierce as lions, and courageous as dragons. I've always been into game development, and if I ever manage to get something big started, I might use this for a dwarven city, with your permission of course.
Not sure I like the term "courageous as dragons." It's easy to be fearless when you're a massive, armored, flying, fire-breathing monster. I'd prefer something like....the courage and loyalty of a hound defending its master.
I'm really glad you enjoyed it! I also love the metal hitting against things ... it's such an interesting noise. Thank you for listening and commenting. :D
I compare that as a close to the WoW Ironforge vanilla entering song... and that says a lot. Marvelous tone and rhythm, splendid piece of art right there.

this music makes me think... I never built an entirely underground Dwarf Fortress with magma falls as gates. I think everyone should try it at least once. It is a spiritual enlightenment journey.
Thank you so much for your encouraging words, Dracovallis! I think the percussion is like an anvil or something, though I had many drums in it so I'm not sure about all of them. Anyway, it's always interesting to know what music people like the best so thanks for telling me. As for YT thinking that dwarven is spelled wrong, that should really be fixed. :D
Very nice work, Brandon. As a guy who loves playing dwarf fighters in the Pathfinder RPG, this is just awesome and inspiring. Great job. Keep 'em coming. Cheers! Wayne
