i just started playing the game again and boy is it alot better then when it first came out, i remember walking around for like over a hour without finding a pokemon before and my area had limited pokestops and stuff now i see plenty of pokemon have a TON of pokestops and gyms near me and its honestly a way better experience
@@riot6508I’ve been going on the events as well I started about a month and a half ago and I got 12 shinys love the events especially the squirtle squad event.
I feel like it would be more fun for Pokemon to be rare actually and you have to go hunt for them. Now like the other guy said I already caught like 50 no problem
Started playing in 2016. I think the last time I played was 2017. Coming back to Pokémon GO in 2023. Thank you SO MUCH for a very comprehensible, thorough guide!! This is by far the most helpful video I've found to catch me up AND to learn useful tips. I watched three or four other channels with similar content, but yours is by far the most helpful! Subscribed!
Ps not sure if it was a glitch or not but I put a lure module inside a PokeStop and sat there for a little. Every 5 or so minutes it let me spin it over and over. Tons of pokeballs, potions ect
@@AstriaTVTruthExposed you dont need to use a lure for that, save them to evolve certain pokemon or on events battle the same gym to go from bronze to gold and it will give more items every time spin it
The big question is: Why is none of this in the game? There is little to no tutorial for basic stuff like: how to throw pokeballs (let alone curve balls)? What to do at the pokestop? My first two days of playing have been a massive exercise in trial and error (and now succumbing to watch this amazing tutorial).
Overall I liked this video and I'd like to recommend it to friends who are interested in starting the game. However I do strongly disagree with the advice on premium items. For free to play players I think that using lucky eggs, insence, and (the non-free) incubators is a terrible use of Pokecoins. I'd suggest using all coins from holding gyms to buy storage for more Pokemon or items. Not being able to hold more than a few balls, or save favorite Pokemon is one of the biggest frustrations in the game. Even raid passes are not as valuable as storage, until you have enough. Having fewer than 500 item storage is a pain, and having more than 1000 is a goal to aim for early in the game. Storage for at least 500 Pokemon is also a priority, and having fewer than 1000 Pokemon gets frustrating quickly. Once a player has over 1000 or each kind of storage, it may make sense to occasionaly buy premium items. If you aren't buying lucky eggs, it makes sense to save the few you get for free to use when you are about to become good, ultra, or best friends (perticularly if they have more than one friend that is ready to boost friendship.) Even a x3 XP event for 30 minutes is not going to give you as much boost from a lucky egg, as becoming best friends with a few players.
Really appreciate this, I’ve always been on and off of this game, so I never really learned anything, but my niece likes playing it, so we’ve been going out often playing Pokémon Go with each other. This definitely helped me catch up to speed again.
I am glad that you created such video. When I joined the game, many videos missed the basics because they were obvious for most of the players. Well done!
started day 1 in 2016. I was the first person in my state to reach level 20. never touched the game again until about a week ago. thank you! so much has changed. i remember i calculated it was going to take me over 6 months to level up past 22... just did it in a day haha
Please consider doing some more video for beginners. I have just started playing with my kids. I was looking for information that will allow me to understand game mechanics and strategies. The true is that it is extremely difficult to find content that is nether very very old nor targeted to experience players who are just interested in recent changes in the game's meta.
Dude this video is seriously informative, I really had no idea how to proceed once I decided to get back into Pokemon Go to supplement my regular fitness regimen. Thanks!
Played this game when it first came out in 2016 and had a blast playing it in Toronto. Then moved a month later to the middle of nowhere with a singular pokestop in a 15mile radius and stopped playing. Now in 2024 I decided to open up my old account but I have no clue how to play it now, but this video helped SO much!
started back in 2916.. last pokemon caught some time in the middle of 2017.. use to do it with my 2 boys who 10 and 8 at the time.. totally forgot about the game.. seen a co-worker playing it on our shuttle ride to work.. bemused.. re-downloaded the game and to my utter surprise all my content was still there.. was lvl 17 back then.. don't remember gym raids and all these other things going on now.. but it's actually pretty fun doing some catch up and assessing what i have..
As a South Indian I am really struggling to play this game because each poke stop or Pokemon gym is 1km or more distance away from each other , so i cannot able to visit poke stop at all, I can only able to do ot when i go to my office in a bus , i will. Visit 4 poke stop and 2 gym while i am on a bus that's all😫
I'm 38 and I'm still watching it... Just in case! Oh and cuz count makes GREAT CONTENT for F2P Players. Sure PokéDaxi Mystic7 TrainerClub and Trainer Tips are all great, but they focus too much on catering to the crowd of people who are already lvl 50, and have FULL pokedex for every shiny AND most of the TOP TIER RAID ATTACKERS. And I'm like.... okay.... I'm lvl 38 and didn't play for like 3 years yall are good but on a tier WAY ABOVE ME. But Count breaks things down for people that maybe haven't played EVERY DAY FOR 6 YEARS AND GO TO ALL OF THE GO FESTS... So THANK YOU COUNT JINSULA YOUR VIDEOS ARE AWESOME!!!!
I watched to see if it was better than the old videos on the subject. (I liked this better than the others I've seen.) I have friends ask how to play, that aren't eady to start playing or to watch me play. I'll likely share this video with them. I don't agree about the importance of premium items for new players, but that has to do with my play style.
This was a very clear & straight forward video. I stopped playing couple yrs ago & redownloaded earlier this week. So many changes so this video was wonderful & worth the watch. Thank you! 😁
5 years strong with my current account 💗 lost my first account that I had since the game came out sadly, but I haven't cheated and I haven't spent any money either. I have a great pokemon deck, I love this game, highly recommend "catching them all" in this game 😄
Finally a helpful video. Thank you for explaining it so clearly. I visited several pokestops and didn't know how to retrieve items. The videos and websites I visited thus far only said "Go to the pokestop and swipe". New sub for sure.
I played for a few months in 2016 and then never again. Last night I pulled out my old pokeball plus and jumped onto Lets Go Eevee and realized Id never tried the ball with Pokemon Go. Signed in and all my old stuff was there but literally everything was new. I've been playing all the games on switch but Go was totally different. But I immediately bought the Beldrum pass and caught 3 shiny beldrum within 2 hours so... I will absolutely be playing it regularly from here on out. I appreciate the in depth tips for someone coming back
I've been trying to find the perfect video to send Grandma 😂. She loves it, but definitely needs a broken down advancement in knowledge. We spent 2 hours on the phone while I walked her through the game. I was surprised at all the great questions she had. Thanks for the video!
Great video! The problem for me is that I usually play at my house where I can't get access to pokestops so I can't do stuff like spinning pokestops, gyms, and raiding often
I haven’t played the game much in the last year and a half, only really on community days I’d play. I honestly stopped cuz raids were too hard, item space was too little, and no wild spawn legendaries. I think it’s crazy niantic has yet to add wild spawning legendaries, I would genuinely be so excited to get out and look for them if they did
I got the game when it first came out. Lost interest and just started back up. So much has changed, and I'm overwhelmed. This video helped but the game should explain these things.
ive been playing pokemon go since around when it came out but i really dont know what im doing lmao, always have to ask my from "is this good?" about everything so rlly appreciate this vid. super in depth and helpful, tysm
one thing which is important as beginner is definitly the maximum allowed speed to play. In the old times there was no problems to breed while cycling. now i tried it and recognized it doesnt work anymore. And the sozial communication argument doesnt make sense in my case bc nearly noone does play it anymore. the campfire group from my city has 30 members and not one really active player
Question? I just started. And have a question. Which Pokémon should I favorite? And do I need to carry every type of Pokémon itself? That’s what I’ve been doing and just powering them up.
when i could do ONE change in this game besides no daily money limit obviously: i would give Gyms more sense. Today its just: get one, setting for 8 hours, let take it away for 8 hours and so on. There is no reason to hold as many as possibie arenas. And i hope this will be changed sometime
New to the game.. dont have many raid pokemon so i was wondering what the best way to pick a good attacker and defender of the pokemon i currently have? Like just a good general rule, high cp? Max attack or defense? Im not huge on remembering weaknesses and stuff..
You said that the red egg is hard to get for new players but I’m level 11 and I still got one, maybe I’m just lucky but like how much CP should a level 11’s Pokemon be?
I played in 2016 still have the account apparently I have charmander! Watching this so I can get back it to it as apparently I can transfer the Pokémon from GO to Pokémon Home?

Lol, same.

How! I keep running out of poke balls and I run out of item storage so I can’t spin poke stops. How do I increase my storage

Any updates to this for 2024? Just coming back to the game after 8 years
Great video! Thank you! The game is a little overwhelming at the start and this was a MUCH needed video for me
Shared on Facebook, Pinterest, and Twitter. Extremely comprehensive. Wish it had been here in 2019 when I started playing.
I could’ve used this in 2018. That’s when I started playing.
Thank you for making this video! If my friends ever play again, I will be sure to show them
You're welcome! And thanks!
