    Whoa! This is awesome, I gotta do it on my current playthrough (replaying the game again). So much to loot, I gotta save this video for later.
    Thanks UA-cam algorithm.

    The boat is a section you actually play on, so it makes sense it's still protected later on. You're not allowed to loot it.
    Hargon's Malhalla castle, however, is purely for a cutscene and so has no need for protections. Extra time to code it in for no reason, so they didn't bother.
    Man, I wish I had thought to explore this way on my way out. I've played the game twice now and am working on a third. Once on PC Xbox Game Pass, once on PS4 and now another on Switch. On my first run, I just played the game normally, on the second I looted a bunch of stuff from the jail and even went up to explore the island, but on my third run I got a little lazy about it and didn't consider how much I could check out. I think I was a little hesitant for some reason to risk falling in the water or triggering guard dialogue or something. Maybe I was worried the game would break or something would happen to my inventory, idk. Kinda wish I had ignored that fear and given in to my impulse, because I won't be able to check this stuff out until my next playthrough (which will be on Switch again. I swear I'm not just buying the game on every system for kicks, the PS4 copy was cheapest but I always intended to get the Switch version, just never did until recently lol).

      Great game! Worth giving the devs money on any platform. Still haven't finished it to this day, though lol. Big surprise as I'm always gettting sidetracked looking for boundary breaking stuff in every game that I play.

    Here's a climbing trick, when you do a plunging attack, you get height. That way you can scale mountains faster without needing blocks vines etc.

      Appreciate it. I'll try that out. This video is a year old and I still didn't know you could do that lol

      You can also use the glider for a bit of height. When you're ending your glide, your character jumps up briefly, which can be used to get up on a ledge that's technically higher than you. Only works for close proximity, but it's kind of like using the hover glitch in Spyro 2 (i.e. - jumping just long enough to trigger hover and canceling it immediately so Spyro flaps his wings and brings you up a bit, allowing you to do things like climb on the gem in front of the ladder in the level that you can't climb yet and then onto the ledge at the top of the ladder via the same trick).
      I'll have to try the plunging attack trick, though, I don't think I ever considered that. Might be handy when on Explorer's Isles where I don't give a shit if I damage some sand blocks or plants or whatever because when the island despawns it's gone for good.

      @@Lucifronz i discovered that trick by accident : i was on an explorer shore with lava, i tried the plunging attack trick but the lava destroyed the glider, enable me to "doudle jump" (can get 1 block higher than simple jump).

    also another secret i found is that south of the bottom right corner of the map if you fly for about 1 minute you can find the boat that you crash into with the gargoyles

    So cool, thanks for sharing! It’s too bad I’ve already beaten the game, I wish I would’ve known this sooner. I only have one hargons throne I stole from the end of the game because like you said it’s a pain in the ass to get more ;-;

      Thanks :) Yeah I couldn't find a video that showed how to do this so I threw one together real quick. Always a big fan of glitches and out of map stuff. I actually ended up leaving the castle untouched because I didn't want to exploit anything on my first playthrough of the game. XD

      I know it's super cool! I was originally following this video for out of bounds exploits by 4EverGaming999YT > ua-cam.com/video/RKlrbp7RS1Q/v-deo.html
      Then I just decided to go back to the top of the island and fly off in a different direction to see if I could find anything else. I about lost it when I actually did find something else! XD

    Can you blueprint it? It looks easier to do now then in Malhalla.

    • @Lucifronz
      @Lucifronz Рік тому +2

      Wouldn't be any more or less easy, you can only blueprint so much of a given space and definitely not a chunk as large as this. But you could at least damage any sections you needed to start blueprinting without worrying about it since you can have a second go at it when you reach Malhalla later.
      In fact, this would be a great way to get as many blueprints of this section as you can (4 is the limit) and then grab whatever you couldn't before when you reach the "real" version later. If you didn't use this room, you'd probably only be able to complete some or maybe even most of the throne room itself and never be able to go back and get the rest, but with this room you could almost certainly complete nearly the entire room if you space out your blueprints correctly. You would have to do a lot of the castle manually either way, though...

      It'll still be there. This isn't actually connected to Hargon's Castle, it's just a section the developers copied (like you can do with the pencil, kinda) to place in this level and use in the cutscene.

      @@shaymondezu8217 I once tried to copy the Rendarak "Midenhall" castle for my own world on my second playthrough, but man it just takes so long to copy things with the blueprint pen. Wish they had incorporated that feature into the Buildnoculars somehow and maybe been a bit less restrictive about how much you can copy. It's a little confusing trying to get as much of it as possible and trying to account for how tall or how wide you're making your blueprint when using the pen. Often I would have things get cut off at the top because of it. It's a real pain.
      But hey, imperfect or not, it's a great tool.
