I was at this concert. I had to go to the bathroom so bad, from several beer at dinner (stupid) and as I was coming back to my seat I heard The Edge, Where the Streets Have No Name. It was about 85 degrees, breeze softly blowing, and I couldn't believe I was there, at the Aloha Stadium in Hawaii, and hearing that just then. it was perfect. It is a memory I will never forget. And Pearl Jam was outstanding! And Billie Joe Armstrong shows up at the end, it was simply amazing!
I was at this concert and ended up staying at the same hotel the guitarist from Pearl Jam was staying at. We heard him telling every one around him that touring with U2 is like nothing he has experienced in his life, they were just "another level". I also remember the concert being unusually longer than any other U2 concert I have ever been to. I remember it had been postponed or something from the year before due to one of the band member's child being sick or something.
Bono was off but again, just like many of the pop mart shows he puts so much energy and stage presence in his performances he pretty much makes up for it. And The Edge is a underrated singer. He helps a lot.
I had a terrible year in 2006. U2 final stop in Honolulu, for the Vertigo Tour galvanized my spirits. The concert provided me hope going into 2007. I want to see them return to Honolulu, HI, again.
This was my first U2 concert and it was amazing. And a great reason to visit Hawai'i twice after the postponement. And it was not my last! Rock on U2 and Pearl Jam.
Hey! i was there right up front. Those were the days. Thanks for posting this. I made this a super cheap trip from the mainland. Of course I had the extra cheap GA tickets (love U2 for that reason alone). I got a free flight from points earned seeing other U2 shows on this tour. I shared a hotel room with other fans. Then I literally walked back to Waikiki Beach because I was not going to pay the ridiculous taxi fare. It was quite the trip.
I attended this concert with my wife. 1st trip off the mainland! Thank you for sharing! It brings back so many memories. Best show ever! Pearl Jam and U2! Unforgettable!
Funny thing: almost everyone who went to this concert says this wasn't even Top50. Stripped Wild Horses with no power, songs that just came out, Rocking in the Free World that was just improvisation and one of the worst stadiums experience
This was the best live show I’ve seen I had GA ticket and stood at the 50 yard line and was mesmerized by how great U2 was Live. And Pearl Jam at the end was icing on the cake.
+tim cancilla I wanted one of those posters sooo bad. A guy in front of me in the line got the last one. Next thing I know people are buying them off ebay for $500.
The two year tour went to places 360 didn't but it wasn't as big and didn't gross more , 2009 to 2011 tour is officially the biggest in music history , this prepared them for that
U2 pretty much plays the same setlist every night, with maybe 2-4 variable songs (though even those variables tend to be the same, in rotation). Pearl Jam never repeats a setlist, and also normally play 30* songs, which allows them to ensure keeping some of classics like Alive in the set each night.
Considering they'd not played it for 14 years, that was a pretty good effort!! Very cool to let that guy come up and play piano on it! Very unique moment.
I know you have worked your ass off, but so have I. I surrender. Now! Show up! For me!!! You promised me the honor, of rescuing me, so I can rescue everyone!!!!
I hope there's a person in the world who loves the song COBL just like me.

the most chaotic version of Wild Horses ever. But I love it
Absolutely. Lol. It felt like we were witnessing the birth of the song. lol. So cool of them. Man, you lucky people.

Was there. Great. First time seeing PJ, but to see BJA/Vedder and u2 on 1 stage was life changing.
Bono was off but again, just like many of the pop mart shows he puts so much energy and stage presence in his performances he pretty much makes up for it. And The Edge is a underrated singer. He helps a lot.
U 2 amazing bend love you

Aww man, how good is that feeling when the arena house lights turn off before the band take to the stage!
This was my first U2 concert and it was amazing. And a great reason to visit Hawai'i twice after the postponement. And it was not my last! Rock on U2 and Pearl Jam.

That arcade fire intro still gets me every time
My first U2 concert, long way from Honduras, Central America, to Hawaii, cheers...
I just realized they were making up half of Rockin in the Free World as they were going along. Freakin' awesome.
Bono holding the US flag while opening this concert greets me each and every morning in my house......great concert...
Amazing
I attended this concert with my wife. 1st trip off the mainland! Thank you for sharing! It brings back so many memories. Best show ever! Pearl Jam and U2! Unforgettable!
Was just watching the u2 experience in berlin on tv....brought me back to this night. magic. :)
When he misses the line at 6:12, Bono wakes up and then let's loose! Atta boy!
Probably one of the top 10 U2 concerts.
not really; this is the worse version of Horses I ever heard!
Nicolas Vanhove pretty much every version of Horses sucked until their 2018 tour :D
Funny thing: almost everyone who went to this concert says this wasn't even Top50. Stripped Wild Horses with no power, songs that just came out, Rocking in the Free World that was just improvisation and one of the worst stadiums experience
Jere Venencia they always say it but they go nuts 🥜 when they’re there
Possibly their worst tour, even if there are strong contenders during the last 10 years.
Para qué acer comentarios si no tienen rival. ARRIBA U2. Saludos.
Love and Peace or Else, good on the album, mindblowingly intense live! Awesome concert; saw them at MSG in this tour. My favorite band forever ❤️

Loved this! I’d love to see the pearl jam part too
The two year tour went to places 360 didn't but it wasn't as big and didn't gross more , 2009 to 2011 tour is officially the biggest in music history , this prepared them for that
its a shame U2 don't release official bootlegs like Pearl Jam

Pearl Jam never repeats a setlist, and also normally play 30* songs, which allows them to ensure keeping some of classics like Alive in the set each night.
Corporate greed.
Pretty amazing that Bono remembered the words to Wild Horses. None of that was planned, lol. Guess some songs are like that.
Considering they'd not played it for 14 years, that was a pretty good effort!! Very cool to let that guy come up and play piano on it! Very unique moment.
Holy crap, that's insane. I didn't think that they ever played "The Saints Are Coming" live with Billie again.
🇦🇬🇩🇲🅿️3️⃣5️⃣3️⃣📫3️⃣🧲3️⃣🥾👒🥾💊🎩🌋🏟️🏦🌺👨👩👧👧👁️🦷💚😱🥵😍🚲🚨🍬🍚

1:57:40 so emotional when bono cried 😢
Thanks for posting - it was fun to relive this! Does anyone have the complete Pearl Jam opening?
"100!"
Enhanced Audio: Leo Gómez?? Who recorded the audio in the first place? Hint, Not Leo. (Chrisedge
& Bakerstuff & Bono IEM...)
his hair looks like it's from the popmart era
I like it
Is Bullet the Blue Sky the greatest live song ever?
I was there, I am looking for the Pearl Jam concert too
U2/Pearl Jam's version of Rockin In The Freeworld is really slow.
I know you have worked your ass off, but so have I. I surrender. Now! Show up! For me!!! You promised me the honor, of rescuing me, so I can rescue everyone!!!!
