MY LETTER TO U2-1987
I saw you guys on the Joshua Tree tour in 1987 at MTSU-Middle Tennessee State University Saturday November 28th 1987. The Bodeans opened up for you. I remember at the time Larry had a crush on Wynonna Judd and she came out and sang a duo with Bono!
I didn't have tickets to the show. A friend of mine drove us 3 hours from East Tennessee to see the show. We bought tickets at the box office for $18.50. We ended up 8th row center stage!
I remember back then the band held back tickets for fans who were willing to make the drive and couldn't get tickets via phone or record store locations.
Thanks again to Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton, and Larry Mullen Jr for making a special album and tour! I was 18 and had just graduated High School that year!
All the Best!
Gary Lagstrom
I was there, good memories. Moment of Surrender was so honest live, still coming back to hear it, after...11, 12 years?!
Great! Wonderful! I saw U2 360° in Berlin, Munich and Hannover. I love U2 since 1985! I love them forever! ❤🎸🥁🎤
Excelente concierto!
This concert tour was a phenom! Beautiful, original, creative and fantastic music. Loved every minute of it!
It was a great connect, the memories are great and Still are
Great version of this. Highlight of the concert.
i was at this gig, flew to Dublin to see the boys perform at home. Man, I love this BAND! :D
Hola. ;-)
What strikes me among other marvels is the way this band plays every concert as if it is their first and last…
What a blessing. Two songs that I had never heard before (I am 61!). Thanks for the great job in putting this together.
Cheers, from Toronto
Thank you so much for sharing!
❤❤❤❤
I saw this tour in both Chicago and Pittsburgh (both the first and final US shows), and both were mindblowingly good. Last year, I finally got to see them in Dublin (as well as Belfast, NYC, and Toronto!), which was emphatically a bucket list item!
Joseph Muir loves the end of the Pittsburgh concert with Bad👍🏻
Incredible energy love this wish I had been there

Have to admit it was good seeing that show again! It was just like being back standing in the hub again :) Thank you! Hard to believe that it's coming close to 7yrs!!! :o Time sure flies!
Thanks a lot for putting this together, great job!
I went to see them the on first of the three days not this particular one and still causing goose bumps while listening to it.
Most memorable show of my life..or in the top 3, that's for sure. I even went to see them in the Wembley Arena a few weeks later. It was great yeah, but nothing to compare to the one in Croke Park (imo). Feel so lucky and blessed for living in these years and could went to see them in live.
Saw this tour at the old Giants Stadium, then at MetLife 2 years later. Then saw them at the Garden 2015. Going to see them at MetLife again for the Joshua Tree tour.
Can't wait.
Chris Manning

Loved it! Thank you. Much more than a concert, an inspiration for a new and much better world!
Best Band ever i love it ❤
Croke aint no joke, they must have felt a lot of pressure before walking on to that stage. Guts, glory, that is the U2 story!!! And they never disappoint

easy to do

All the phones, all the time now. Put your phone down and talk to somebody, enjoy your surroundings, enjoy something other than "capturing the moment" allow your brain to do that.

Best set-list of this show
Awesome 👍
Watching ZOO TV and then this. It's like a different band.
I actually just watched Zoo TV and came to watch this after. I'm just glad no overalls are involved. That's not a good look.
I wasn't there.. 27th July 🥲❤️🩹 Mum Rest Well.. from Kimberly - London - Liverpool.
* Something Inside So Strong * 👍🏼
U2 simplesmente o melhor
Incredible concert 👏👏👏👏👏👏☘️☘️☘️☘️
A memory live no one will ever take,....
Speechless !!!
o0O0o…
Sorry, who owns the video of Beautiful Day?. It's only because I can see myself :) would love a full version of it, if possible.
Poland here watch U2💗🎵🎤👌
Thanks Leo
They are one of those bands where I don't love everything they've done. But the stuff I like, I love.
I want to be clear. not only was this tour great, this album (NLOH) was great!
We thank for your clarity Scott.
I was at this show. I will be there this summer to see them again. It's gonna be awesome!
Sois los mejores.Paz y salud para vosotros también
Lo mejor de lo mejor
puro godimento
La partida con Breathe es alucinante. Excelente...!
Fantastic concert and the sound is great Unbelivable version of Bad!
A monster set design for sure, worth seeing for its own sake. Honestly, without the stage being set directly in the middle of the stadium I couldn't see the point in the 360 stage design - it didn't help most of the audience get that much closer to the stage in the huge venues like this one (or at Wembley Stadium where I went to see the show). Those at the back or even middle sections were still looking at ant-like sized performers... Here you can see very few people actually behind the stage, so it's not really a 360 spread anyway.
It was in Pasadena. The Rose Bowl is a great big enclosed bowl. Our seats were at the top behind Mullen, Jnr. I’ve never watched that show at this site nor on video from any front angle. Only from the back as it happened. But I definitely remember the massive crowd as the backdrop on that night.
Yeah, but it was slightly ridiculous.
I was actually at this show (I didn't originally have tickets but had bought tix for Muse in Dublin later in the year which I couldn't go to as I'd arranged to move to Germany in the Sep of 2009) but it was quite disappointing.
The whole point of the "360" tour was that the "claw" (stage) was in the middle.
For some reason, and I can guess why, only in Dublin, their home town, they weren't allowed to have it in the middle as the "Hill 16" end was not considered large enough to hold enough fans to sell enough tickets (if you look, Croke Park is horseshoe shaped in terms of stands - the reason being the train tracks and canal run right behind it so can't be built back on).
So, the 360 tour in Dublin wasn't 360, was a stage at one end and the paying punters at the opposite end (the Davin Stand) were as far away from the stage as is possible in that stadium and was a disgrace cos the tix were priced according to a totally different layout.
Money grabbing at finest and from the band who come from that city, shameless, absolutely shameless.
And for the record, the sound was quite bad (I've been to a lot of gigs there, and to be honest it's never great), the facilities were awful and it put me off ever going to see U2 or going to Croke Park ever again (and I live in Dublin by the way).
Was at one of these U2 360 shows in Croke Park. Visually spectacular, but a pity that the full stadium seating was not opened, 'The Hill' behind the stage closed off. Croke Park is a very poor venue for acoustics, and was these shows also. I've seen every Irish tour since Acthung Baby/ Zoo TV...
ONE!
super maravilhas..
U2 HERMOSOS RECUERDO
I was at this show. I now realize the main difference between that night and the other 2 nights in Croker is that those 3 big funnel shaped things on the stage were not present during the other nights. I wonder why?!
+soeffingwhat Cause of the spits of rain to protect the equipment. It was a class night! :)
Bourbon_Blues But they were on there only for that night. I didn't see them on any other Show, including the US.
+soeffingwhat Like I said, it was just spits of rain at the beginning that didn't last long. Thankfully they did put them on that night too, cause it helps me remember the date :) Just spotted myself at the beginning of Beautiful Day :)
+Bourbon_Blues Yep it helps me remember that Date too. It could also have been a "last minute decision" kinda thing due to the Stage being Set up at the end of Croker rather than the middle like other Stadiums on the tour. Either way I agree, its nice to know its a distinguishing bit that we can defo pinpoint to know and say "we were at that exact one" lol. It was also 2 days before my Birthday lol. I also have the Audio on my Ipod. You can get it legally (its been literally allowed by U2) from the Site "U2Start"
Larry M. Jr. is the coolest in the whole world
Was there 3rd show. I love breathe
really thought on the 360 tour they would have done when I look @ the world!! never has come forth same said for NUMB since they did stay farway so close
What is the first song playing? Cool little guitar solo. I dont think its soon....
I love it when Bono messes up the lyrics and plays it off as he meant to (In this case he missed a verse in Pride). Even the best of us forget. God I love this band.
Everyone watching through their phones must be mad 😂
Why is that?
Oh Jesus! I was there...
What was the u2 intro before Breathe?
at 22:00 what are Bono's words from? What is he saying? Extremely brilliant.
damn people put the phones away!;;you hands should be clapping and your focus on the band.. .do you realize how blessed you were to be there?
Sorry it starts at 27:25. He sings, "sometimes.....when i look in your eyes I can see your soul"
This concert is missing Elevation, great live song!
U2 top dos tops
kind of a rough patch at 1:40:00, had to swap his guitar, dropped his pick, but he handled it the the show went on. nicely done.
Can someone please tell me the name of the song that is playing at 1:15?
"Soon"
I was there
So was I. It was amazing!
So much better than the darkness of the Rosebowl film, lets down the awesomeness of the claw badly
I think he did a snipet of "Sometimes" by JAMES (sung LAID)..........27:33
😎
