They put signs in carparks telling you to not leave valuables in your vehicles for a reason. Don't leave things in bikes or cares because thieves are patrolling.
if it's legal reason any private stablishment who has A CCTV should cooperate for the case it will only be use tru investigation and other people privacy always taking care of.. where did you rent the motorcycle? every motorcycle has a duplicate key.. did they forced open the sit and damage it or it looks like being open with key? so police investigation just like that? no follow up to find tye thieves at all?

It's good they just took your valuables, nothing bad happened to both of you. Don’t be complacent with people in your surroundings especially there in the Phil. Once they see something valuable they will take it. If you go in a public place keep your valuables safe or bring them with you. For foreigners it's expensive but a good idea to have 2 phones from back home in case there is a broken or stolen device. Put one in the hotel lock box.
I have a friend from Baltimore that still makes fun of me because I went under my hood to disable my car when we went to his favorite Chinese restaurant with a bunch of friends. It looked like a bad area, and this car was high on the list of stolen vehicles. He loves to tell the story making fun of me. I’m always cautious though if I can be.
Knowing Robbie like I do. 😉 I promise you he was steaming off camera. 😂 I know I’d be furious. Everyone let’s the guard down sometimes. I’m super cautious, but I can think of things I’ve done that could have been costly.

The moral of this story is by all means visit this beautiful island, stay in this fantastic villa, have the time of your life but guard your belongings as you would on any busy street in the world. Unfortunately, there are thieves even in paradise. Remember too that “things” can be replaced.
When on a motorbike, you can't be sure of any valuables being safe while you're away from them. At least while you're in a car, you can hide all valuables inside the car's trunk, putting them out of sight. Hiding them removes them from temptation.
Sorry to hear that happened to you. But guys... you should ALWAYS have a pin on your phone! Its quite strange that you don't have this basic level of protection in 2024. Everything is on your phone nowadays - bank accounts, emails, etc.

I been in Philippines what i can say there are people who steal everywhere in the world. Need be care always. I always try to keep my passport, phone, and wallet in a place where I can see them, but where it's hard for thieves to reach. There were probably two of them, one stealing and the other watching to see if you were going to go up.
Hopefully he didn’t lose his passport. That’s an even bigger headache. Mine was ruined by water and it was a pain to get a new one in Jakarta. Trip to the embassy then had to wait.
Yes lesson learned, I live in the U.S. I don't even leave my valuables in my car, my husband always take purse or anything that thieves see through the windows of your car, they won't hesitate to break car windows if there's anything they can steal. I'm so sorry this happened. Sorry for you loss, I’ve never experienced that in Philippines but I did have an incident where i left a pricey pair of sunglasses on the beach and believe it or not a young man came looking for me there while I was looking around and he smiled and said are these your sunglasses!
