I just wanted to tell you that your channel has become my relaxing place from when anxiety is hitting really hard. You're a good human being, you are real, you have fun and also show us when you're feeling down. I feel understood, I don't know, just thank you, Taz. Thank you very very much. Also, your poetry book is amazing, everyone should read it and reread it over and over again. Just thank you for being you and sharing it with us. 🤗💜
"I feel like we're doing everything but shopping" That's the magic of IKEA Taz! Also, I just want to say that I love watching your videos! You're so pretty, funny, and entertaining, a real treasure
I started watching you when you did the £1 food challenge in Cardiff and its so incredible to see how much you have grown as person and how confident you are!
I work at IKEA and we get free dinner food :) It gets a bit boring after while but the Daim Cake will always be good and I will never skip it in my life. 🥰
You can buy the daim cake in some grocery stores in the UK! As a Swede, I missed it when I lived in the UK and I found it at Aldis I think! Have a look for it 😊
I'd recommend eating the 'potatoe pancake' with apple sauce - amazing! I used to add a fried egg and eat it for breakfast. We call them 'Kartoffelpuffer' in Germany 🤗
Lingonberry grows during fall everywhere in the forest, in the nordic countries and northern hemisphere - just smaller than cranberries but also the same in taste, so very sour
@@hannahk1306it's overly sweet because the sort you get at IKEA. Is the cheapest generic store brand stuff. Where sugar is added as bulk. It's good enough in a pinch if you are unfortunate enough to live outside Sweden and it is what is available without flying home. Or I guess if you don't know what it's supposed to taste like. A lot of sugar isn't needed to preserve lingon. They're a natural source of Sodium benzoate (E211) so are a preservative in themselves. But they are also not commercially grown like say cranberries. But wild picked. So are not a cheap ingredient in jam. Thus lots of sugar to bulk out the cheap stuff.
I am a Swedish guy born 65 years ago and grew up here. Now i will tell you, there is nothing Swedish about IKEA today, the food is semi-finished, absolutely nothing is made in Sweden but most of it is made in China with poor conditions for the workers, IKEA is run like a pyramid company without a single office in Sweden but they are located in low tax countries, moreover, not a single piece of furniture is made in Sweden nor is the material in the furniture from Sweden, so if you think you are buying something of Swedish origin in an IKEA store, it is probably time to think again because there is absolutely nothing about IKEA that is Swedish today.
I practically lived in IKEA as a kid, okay maybe that's a stretch but I was there a lot. I loved testing out the chairs and playing around in the separate rooms, sometimes, if I was lucky, there would be a TV on with a movie playing. And the food! Swedish meatballs were the best...back then anyway, I haven't been there ina while.
the middle layer of that cake is buttercream! I don't know about the exact ingredients od the Ikea one, but the bottom cake part should be made from mainly almonds and not flour
I love how Taz is literally just going to people's workplaces to eat food 😂💜 start working at the place that has the best food after doing a series on it 😂
Not sure what editing system you use but with the those mics, it splits the audio into the left and right channels in order to give you control in the edit to adjust the volume of each mic separately. It's a good thing but in the edit, you will then need to select the audio and make it dual channel mono. Otherwise, we only hear Taz in the right ear and Jae in the left ear. The dual channel mono allows us to hear you two in both ears. It's a just a quick youtube tutorial on changing stereo to dual channel mono.
I wonder what they have in U.S. locations. Would love to see (as someone else suggested) a 'who knows you better' game with friends. Also an 'as seen on TV' product video or a new pound store product video. How well do the products work? Cooking competition with friends...and a blindfolded taste tester. Or a tester who has no idea who made what. Person who loses has to sit in an icebath for 10..20 seconds... Or has to eat their least favorite food on camera. (Or something prepared by the opponent) 😄 Also consider introducing games to the main channel..or the 2nd channel: Pictionary, Heads Up, Never Have I Ever, Uno, Jenga, Who Am I, Charades, Blackjack, Categories or Scattegories, etc.
I know want to go to Ikea and just eat 😂😂. Fun fact: IKEAs in different countrys have different options. In Germany we have mashed potatoe instead of fries/chips with the meatballs and we don't have fish and chips 🤗
Thats almond cake. I always pick carrot, ginger or almond cake wherever I go, these 3 are always delicious regardless of who makes them. Very happy day at IKEA :) I love IKEA too!
I actually found this out recently, but you dont have to follow the arrows in ikea, the arrows are there to prevent people from getting lost, but you dont have to follow it. Hope that helps
Greetings from Sweden! Daim cake is an almond cake with butter cream inside, and milk chocolate and almond croquante on top. Daim is the name of the chocolate bar that the cake is "inspired" by.
With those prices, that explains why more and more people are going for breakfast in this fast-rising-grocery-bill times. And yes, that cake is to DIE FOR.
Ikeas styles are typically Scandinavian with lots of midcentury modern style stuff as well. Some recent things have had more of an industrial style, and they're pretty cool too. Now you know, and can add non Ikea stuff to Ikea stuff and have it work. So you don't have to buy it all at Ikea. :D
I feel like they changed the IKEA over here in Brooklyn, NY the supermarket part is almost none existent now. And we don’t have all those cool options 😭 but the meatballs always slap.
Loved this vid! Honestly, you have to have amazing willpower not to buy all the random things (that you absolutely didn't need until you spotted them, lol). Once, a few years ago, I literally went to Ikea with my mum and sisters just to have breakfast. So nice! And whenever anyone in my fam goes there they have to buy hotdogs and cinnamon buns for everyone at home. 😂 I really enjoyed "going around" with you and Jay in this vid. Such good memories and vibes. 😊
When I was young there was a DIY/home store that literally had a whole house built in the middle with 2 bedrooms kitchen ect. You can imagine how fun that was for us lol. The worst/funniest part is it had a real front door and being the kids we were we would shut it with the latch down and lock people out 😂😂
Taz!! I have an idea!! You should do another best friend tag but with all of your friends in one room !! And see who knows you better Love your videos !!
I think Ikea meatballs are actually overrated: they're a really odd texture! I'm sure the authentic Swedish version is really nice though. Hey Taz love your video especially this one, I was thinking you should do a week of takeaway foods of different company’s e.g justeat, deliveroo and see which is better or value for money. Just an idea
Your videos always make me happy and they will forever make me happy, thank you so much for giving me happiness, I have adhd and as you know we luck dopamine a lot , but you give me a loooto of dopamine!!!!!
The power of IKEA! I swear as a kid I would go and pretend all the rooms were mine and it was all one big house
I still do that as an adult
@@HassanRaashid Same here.

Your Ikea has so many more breakfast options than the one in the Netherlands! Here you get a baked egg, a croissant and a roll with a slice of cheese.
It’s probably because the breakfast she had was sort of similar to a British fry up.
I work at IKEA and we get free dinner food :) It gets a bit boring after while but the Daim Cake will always be good and I will never skip it in my life. 🥰

Well in sweden we eat the potatoe pancake more known as Raggmunk with lingonberry jam
Lingonberry grows during fall everywhere in the forest, in the nordic countries and northern hemisphere - just smaller than cranberries but also the same in taste, so very sour
So why is the ligonberry jam so sweet? Do they just add a tonne of sugar?
The sweetness was my issue with it. Is that authentic or a weird Ikea thing?
@@hannahk1306 Pretty much all jams have tons of sugar, it preserves the fruit
@@lilkitten545 It depends on the jam and its usage, you only need enough to preserve the fruit not to make it sickly sweet on a savoury dish!

Nice! The salmon sauce (assuming it's the classical one) is pretty much a whole grain mustard base, with lots of sugar, dill and some oil added.
the middle layer of that cake is buttercream! I don't know about the exact ingredients od the Ikea one, but the bottom cake part should be made from mainly almonds and not flour
