We have now started giving all new calves bought in 30ml of alamycin and a dose of bovipast rsp and seems to be doing the trick this year, touch wood we have had no problems. Leave the wall as is, if you take down completely you will have to replace with a gate and put stock board on it anyway so imo it’s the same, Yorkshire boarding is the way forward in calf houses, plenty of airflow overhead is key

I see alot of cob webs under your sky lights and its a sign of poor air movement, if u could put an opening under the gutter to let air in like in the new grant spec sheds it might help, never found vented sheeting that great

Never new that about looking for cob webs. Maybe the yorkshire boarding would solve the problem.

The wall isn't your problem as with the high roof in that shed you have plenty of air movement. The fact you have it half knocked now anyway, I would get rid of it completely and hang a gate with stock board on it.

We have a gate and all there so we will just stick that on it. But we are going to look into that yorkshire boarding now.
