Looking at the comments, I’d say y’all are a big hit here in the United States! I’ve shared your channel with family, and I’m sure many others have, too. I look forward to your tours and stories. ❤
A very interesting discussion - particularly on the changing demographics of the Cotswolds, the key importance of Infrastructure in sustaining rural life.
Hello, Robin and Ross, from the US! Thank you both for streaming with your audience and for sharing so much insight of the beautiful Cotswolds with its admirers, old and new, all around the world! I was fortunate enough to get my hands on a copy of Evans' publication after discovering your channel. I obtained it through a second hand book retailer online and not only was it in pristine condition, but it also included some pleasant surprises such as hand penciled price of 5 pounds (much less than I paid of course)inside its cover, likely from a previous local book shop sale, and several items that had been placed within its pages by previous owners including post card illustrations and local news articles and photographs relative to the pages in which they were strategically placed among and offer a unique parallel between the book and those who have enjoyed it over the years. I am a history buff and fan of architecture which contributed to my interest in the Cotswolds and that interest has grown over the past several years, in large part due to your channel. I look forward to adding a copy of your book to my collection! I have visited London only once thus far, a birthday trip for my Daughter in 2019, but was unable to carve out enough time to explore the Cotswolds and the surrounding country side, but I have a solo trip planned in a couple of years and have an entire road trip and itinerary mapped out over a planned 4 days of exploring! I will certainly have my copy of Evans' book as well as my copy of your edition in hand as I do! If, by chance, you happen to be doing some filming in the area and we cross paths during my time there I hope that I will have a chance to introduce myself and thank the two of you properly over a pint or two at one of the many great pubs you have featured! Please keep up the great work! - Cheers!
How lucky are we that the two of you decided on this grand adventure! Happy viewing by us, your loyal following & I will be ordering the famous book tomorrow❤
Congratulations Indeed Thank You for sharing your talents and skills. I'm watching you whilst it's snowing here in Alaska, great entertainment in all seasons.
Just watching this in Sept 16th of 2024. I have never been so interested and entertained by a travel show like this one. Robin, I watch your shows over and over everyday during my resting time when ever that might be as an older gentleman that I am. We were coming to the Cotswolds this Fall but due to illness it made it impossible and I am deeply disappointed. Maybe next Fall fingers crossed!! But thank you and Ross for the most wonderful program I’ve ever watched. May God bless both of you !! Cary Cary. Kansas City Missouri.
@TheCotswoldExplorer Just bought both the hardback and audiobook. Happy to support you both - Robin and Ross. Much love and support from Ohio in the US! Just a little personal trivia about myself, my preferred wool to spin are from the Cotswold sheep. I dream someday to visit the Cotswolds and speak with people in the fiber arts industry - the shepherds, spinners, and knitters.
Greetngs from the Pacific NW 🇺🇸🌲🌲, 0n this sunny sunday. I am enjoying the live stream conversation, unable to chat on my device. Finally i am able to get a look at the Mysterious Ross!
Hello to you and i just wanted to say you're perfect for the stories you tell us. Cotswald is no doubt, a gorgeous place. Maybe I'll see it one day. Till then, ill listen to these!
Looking forward to another Halloween reading this year! Maybe from somewhere like Woodchester Mansion, which according to many is the most paranormally active building in Britain.
Hello , really good to see you both on camera., yes, your voice Robin is clear and good to heart 😂. I am English, and living in Madeira for 20 or so years. Thank you for your Wonderful insight into English life as lived now.. Best love, Valerie Farrington.
My family has been in the US since 1690 and yet, according the my DNA, I'm 72% English, 8% Scot and 20% northern Europe which is most likely German and French. After over 300 years, I still have more English blood in me than many Brits do! 😂😂😂
Or your family was like mine. Puritans in America since 1632. The French incited Indian attacks and encouraged them abducting puritans and selling them into slavery in Quebec. It went in from 1680 -1720. Forced to change to Catholicism, change names and stayed in Canada. Horrible dark history. My ancestor was abducted twice and got away from Canada by random. Hanna Heath if Haverhill Massachusetts My English ancestors would have had it better back home in England. Many killed by native Americans and French.
@@HollyCranfan it took determination and commitment on the part of all members of the earlier settlers; but, now they come in the tens of millions just to get on our Welfare system which takes up 37% of our national budget. That's insane! None of these illegal immigrants give anything; but, they take a whole hell of a lot not to mention our own home grown leeches. I believe Americans have a duty to provide for our elderly and such; but, anyone healthy enough to have baby every year, then they should get off of their backsides and support their own children. I did; plus, through my taxes supported many more. It's a disgrace to see any woman still working at eight or nine months pregnant so another, lazier woman can sit on her backside and receive more in benefits than the working woman takes home. Don't believe the lie that big businesses support Welfare through their taxes. It's the every day worker who supports the lazy ones. Again, I have no qualms about helping people in need; but, they àre not due a lifetime of financial support ;
A wonderful discussion - thank you! I am always amazed & very thankful, when flying over the gentle, green patchwork of England’s fields, that there is any green, open space left. I often wonder at how the island would fare if the multitudes of natives who left, willingly or unwillingly, for other parts of the globe over the last 400 years would have stayed, generating so many more people. Surely, the island would have been devoid of any open space!
With all the fascinating and interesting churches in the Cotswolds area, why have you not considered doing a series highlighting the very best worth visiting.. You can also do something on the areas Roman heritage too...
Here in Cothswolds at mo!! Your great work made a trip absolutely necessary. So here I am today having an amazing trip around the Cothswolds. Having a ball. Thank you for showing me around. Loved Bourton on the Water. My favourite so far.
Hello from Maine ❤ Love the "haunting" descriptions and stories. Your voice is so soothing, which is counter intuitive you'd think.. regardless the scary tale or ghost story. Here's to your future Halloween podcasts ❤
Thank you so much to both of you! My question would be-are there any organ recitals in these wonderful churches? I hope this is not too hard to answer.
How about a tour of the Cotswolds' early pubs, like The Fleece? That would be fun. Unfortunately, we don't have pubs here in the U.S., and I miss my neighborhood watering hole! I haven't been in the Cotswolds -- or indeed, in England -- for years. Wish I could get back; things are not good here just now.
Robin, your descriptions of the architectural elements on old churches you often visit, show a deep knowledge of architectural aspects, have you made a study of such things? Or are you well researched prior to your visits to such places. Mike East Yorkshire
Is the princess barried somewhere in Cotswold I’m so inquisitive about it. I wonder how someday I could be able to see it and pay my homeages to the great princes. So much love and respect for princess Diana from pakistan

Wonderful stream. I`m retired and up on the Fylde coast and ashamed to say that its been a few years since I`ve been down your way.
Congratulation to you both, for the creation of the wonderful and delightfully charming podcasts, they could not have been better by anyone else.
Fantastic!
I love to listen to your narrative of The Sarah’s Tomb!!! I’ve listened to it many times!!!❤

Well done Robin and Ross. It is always a pleasure to view your videos. Keep it up 😊
I mean this in the absolutely nicest and flattering way. I think Ross would make a smashing Ichabod Crane in the Legend of Sleepy Hollow.

Hello Robin and Ross, have you ever thought about visiting some of the Severnside villages? Not the Cotswolds but just below the Cotswold escarpment

I think old Herbert Evans will want the audiobook just to hear you read it. "It's even better than I thought!" He would say!

Great opinion and answer Mr.
Exploring Cotswolds with a map from London next time when I be there. Hello from Brazil, Treze Tílias-SC
I've travelled the whole of the Fosse Way, do you have an interest in Roman Roads in the Cotswolds?
Thank you so much to both of you! My question would be-are there any organ recitals in these wonderful churches?
I hope this is not too hard to answer.
I'm honored to be the first one answered!:) Thank you. The map and explanation definitely helps!:)

Lovely Chanel. Thank you. How can I get signed copies of hard back please ?
Hello, if you had to do a similar video series about another area of the world, what would be that area?
There's more chance of me being struck by lightning than living peacefully in the Cotswolds 😅
Just hold up a paper map and point!:)
Favourite haunted site or Cotswolds ghost story?

I would like u to make a video about princess diana tomb
Sadly I missed the live stream! 😪
