I'm a drummer with no love of drum solos. But this I love. And I keep coming back to it time and again. As others note here, Mr. Dunlop's playing is highly articulate, imaginative and melodic. Sure, the likes of Buddy Rich were incredible, but he was so fast and furious that his solos were as athletic as they were musical. And so many drummers merely attempt to emulate him and his contemporaries, with their aim seemingly to be faster and more technical than the next guy. But Dunlop is so totally in control and has such great flow. I'll be back again.
First time I have seen Frankie play and I am an instant fan. Beautiful drum solo and best of all, I never got bored.
