Awesome video, spot on. Great job. Fixed both mine today. Accessing top bolt of driver motor mount was challenging, needed 3 swivels . Feels uncomfortable lifting engine, but worked out fine
Hey Mareno. I notice you got this cts done up from head to toe, might I inform you that a brembo caliper swap in the front is very simple on our models. Simply buy the front calipers from a J55 coded newer cadillac (ATS or Ct6 2014-2019) and they're a direct bolt on then bleed and change fluid. I'm jus completing this swap on my caddy, it's very affordable for a brembo upgrade. Thought you'd enjoy knowing this because it seems like with the supercharger you'd naturally want some more stopping power as well!
Hey, thanks a million. Actually, I already installed the front 6 piston Brembo calipers on the front with the larger drilled/slotted rotors and 4 piston Brembo with larger drilled/slotted rotors on the rear. I have videos for those installations as well. :). They look really good and the stopping power is definitely noticeable.
Thanks for sharing, I'll be tackling this job in a few weeks. Looks like the key to this is to loosen both mounts to get the engine up high enough to get the mounts out. How does the CV axle go back in? Does it need to be driven back in with the pickle fork? Should I scribe a line on the shaft before removing so I have a reference as to how far the shaft goes back in? Thanks!
Yes, the higher you can get it the better because the old mount may of compressed over time, so you want it higher for the new mount. The CV axle just slide back in. You may used the pickle fork or something else to help seat it fully into place. Making a marking on the CV axle wouldn’t be a bad idea to help give you piece of mind that you seated it in all the way. Good luck with my your project. It’s actually not a bad job.
Thank you so much! That's indeed a lot easier than having to unbolt the AC compressor...
Glad it helped

Thanks for the info, got the motor mounts in. Now just need to locate a pickle fork. I'm going to try to rent one from AutoZone.
Very helpful 👌 thanks
Happy to help
Hey Mareno. Did you re use the nuts from the old motor mounts? Jus cleaned thoroughly and blue loctite? Lmk thanks
Correct, I reused the bolts with lots of blue loctite.
@@marenothecarguy8361 thanks. Saves me three days ship time to have peace of mind that method worked for you
Did you have to take the CV axel out of the knuckle too?
No, you don’t need to take it out of the knuckle.
how much should it cost to hirer someone to replace the motor mounts
North of $400 for labor alone.
My cts has some ac line right on top of the top nut of the motor mount ,anyone came across that?
why I came here :( I suspect I'll be forced to remove this, I believe it is a coolant hose. What did you end up doing?
Do you know the part number for a rwd?
No but go on RockAuto.com to find it.
