To open doors for their human partners, service dogs need something to pull on. In the home, tug ropes are affixed to door handles and left there all the time. Generally, they consist of a handle portion that attaches snuggly to the lever-style doorknob, and a tail with a knot at the end that the dog can grip and pull. These door tugs help people living with disabilities live more independently as their service dog assists with daily tasks.
