Mar-vell was the original captain marvel he was a kree who came to earth and had a relationship with carol danvers and was partly responsible for her getting her powers and becoming the original ms marvel after he died of cancer a few others took up the captain marvel name before carol danvers took over the role
So the mar-vell colour scheme us directly referencing the character that gave her hero her powers and it is an accurate colour scheme
(Edit: to answer your question yes they added Hawkeye themed outfits for everyone at some point in the life cycle)
