- Like many of the early explorers and settlers who pushed their way into Australia's centre marveling alternately at the grandeur and then utter desolation, Ted Egan is captivated by the Centre. This journey through central Australia begins by looking at the country from the early European adventurer's viewpoint and compares their attitude and capacity to exist with the desert aborigines.

Who couldn’t like a film like this. A great way to see Australia. And Ted does a great job though I wish he wouldn’t keep saying the land is millions of years old. That’s just man’s reckoning like Charles Darwin who got it so much wrong it’s not funny. But hats off to Ted. He’s alright. Love the guy. A real good sort.

Like Homer; geographer minstrel. Homer specialized because he was loosing his sight and needed an entourage; T's got an inordinately vast territory to contend with. Aussi gringo beating the drum for the rest to come into the fold and care for Country.
