Great review. I've strung a Mark 2V & D. Not a fan of the throat or locking bolt (unnecessary marketing tool, IMO), but they seem solid otherwise. I'm surprised I haven't seen the sidewall holes breaking, but we haven't been through a season yet.
I've been coaching for a while & have been the team stringer for several years. I just don't see head rattle that often. I honestly don't think it's a big deal & it's easily fixed in the rare cases it happens.
Interesting, I used to have to tighten up my head (and every defensemen on my team) at least once a week before I got the 2D. Do you coach at a varsity level or younger guys?

Question Chris! I'm trying to decide on my next head, so for the Mark 2A, do you think I'd be able to push a mid-high to mid baggier pocket in this? I used to use a surgeon with a straight up box pocket for the longest time, but have since switched to a sequel with a high pocket for that quick release. I'm looking for a very light head that I can get the best of both worlds in. What do you think?

Locking bolt is awesome for the 2D, completely eliminates head rattle. Been playing with one for a few months now.

Max Benzian prequel weighs the same as the sequel, and .3 oz heavier than the 2A, and I've strung a few. Just don't think it's the head for me.
