1/2 block (8 ounces/227g) super firm tofu
1 1/2 tablespoons (7g) nutritional yeast
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon dried parsley
1/3 cup (42g) vegan mozzarella shreds
3 tablespoons (45g) nondairy milk, unsweetened and unflavored
Scant 1/2 cup (100g) tomato sauce
Spray oil, for baking, optional
Basil, for garnish, optional
Grated vegan parmesan, for topping, optional

I’ve been vegan for 2 year and never thought of tofu parm!! This is so amazing I love how simple it is I can do this with a prep time less than 5 mins.

I just made this vegan tofu parm and it is amazing! The tofu cutlets tasted like chicken cutlets! It was definitely from the seasoning you used in your recipe! I made a cheese sauce with a soy milk and tapioca starch base (with salt & garlic powder to taste). I love "cheesy" tomato sauce dishes. This one is definitly a keeper!

great recipe! I used whole wheat breadcrumbs and seasoned the tofu with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, basil. I threw it in the air fryer for 30 mins, flipping halfway, then let it set in my toaster oven for 5 mins. Yum!

I made this and it was SOO GOOD. My family enjoyed it (including the littles). I was in a rush and ended up sprinkling all the spices on top of the cheese/tofu once it was done baking. Served it with a side of green beans and sourdough bread. Will definitely make this again 😋

Looks amazing! I am alwaays looking for ways to make tofu taste good without oil! I may even try making the cheese sauce using a base of soymilk, tapioca flour and some salt. Thanks for the recipe!
