Vicks Vapo Rub! Brand name. Method: file nails short. Keep toenails and toes well covered with the Vicks 24/7. My toenails are half grown out healthy now. It does take months, because you are not curing the existing fungus - though it does shrink. You are using Vicks because it allows you to start growing new healthy nail to slowly replace the fungal nail.

I had toe nail fungus since I was 5 years old. I tried everything. Including laser. The only thing that finally killed it was lamisil. The doctor wanted me to only take it for like 2 months and cut me off but I had tried his approach and the fungus came back. I knew that I had to do at least 4 months in order to kill it so I ordered my own lamisil online and the toe nail fungus never came back thankfully.

I promoted Lamisil when I was a drug rep with Novartis many years ago. 😂Best drug on the market for that super tough, never goes away nail fungus. Glad it worked for you!

@PilatesbyGina thanks that pill was literally the only thing that killed. I bought so many laser nail groupons and those never worked lol although it did feel good feeling the laser on my nail. I even tried applying drops of bleach on my nail but nothing. I'm pretty sure the fungus is within cause lamisil is the only thing that is able to really kill it for good.

And once it comes off, all that's left for your fungus is to mince the garlic and combine in a small bowl with olive oil, brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic, thyme, and pepper, pour on a marinade and roast for about 45 minutes. Goes great with meat and potatoes!

Can't vinegar cause holes in the feet? Then, a potential infection? The reason I know this is using it on the hands with soap has lacerated my skin before on multiple occasions*(used it as an antibacterial a few times when I was out)...
*Causing tiny nicks that you may or may not know are there.

What about jock itch creams massaged on toe nails and the feet? One derm told me that would work too! Is this true? Also, he said that our badly cracked heel are from a fungus, and to use those same creams. Fixed my cracked heels, and have never had anymore fungus..

It wouldn't hurt if he's trying to prevent the other nails from growing more fungus. Remember that it's highly contagious and that hygiene is important. I would still suggest trying oral Lamisil (terbinafine) if it's severe. I had to take liver tests because the side effects are so bad. It took a while and today I'm finally able to wear pretty sandals again.

@@Porceliankitty No problem but you should look up the side effects since it's quite severe. For one the pills taste horrible and it's quite toxic so it takes a toll on your body. You recover once you stop taking them but remember that it could take months since you have to wait for the affected nail to grow out. Some people don't mind losing their toenails completely and that's the price they pay when they let fungal infections grow out of control. People tend to forget that the nails have a protective role too. I hope your husband considers getting treatment. 🙏
