I dont know why, but your latest videos have been really great^^ Just the feeling of the videos makes me smile! I hope for many more videos with this kind of feeling to it :)
So glad to see a fun PC port that actually shows the keys you need to press to do things. I dunno how many console ports I've played where it's like "Press X to do an action" but it doesn't mean the X key on your keyboard. It means whatever key you have bound to be the equivalent of the X button.
Assumes perfect knowledge in a first impressions. What dimension do you guys come from? Gear? Farming? How would anyone know that's even a part of the game if he's never played it?
Just have to add in here that this game is insanely hard. The last bossfight took about 1 hour with a friend in co-op. Whole storymode, 28 stages, about 7 hrs (co-op was harder + more enemies). That was only in normal. Start is "action-ish" feeling + music but in the end it's a lot of epic music and everything feels epic. Best fighting game I've ever played - and I don't like fighting games.
One of my friends were over yesterday and we couldn't get his PC online so i bought this game and we had a cracking time playing this 10 out of 10! Thank you for making this first look video TB, if it hadn't been for you i would never have picked up this great title
Already did, yesterday. You unlock some of the enemies that you can see in game which you can call for aid when needed. 1 or 2 depending on what kind of unit. That boss "Swordsman" in this video is actually unlockable so he is able to come and fight for you.
Very addictive game. You feel like a complete bad ass when you dodge and punch at the right time, looks very choreographed. I reccommend playing this with a controller.
With the addition of more characters, better camera movement, and a competitive scene this game would really make the "TEKKEN vs. Street Fighter" an apples-to-apples comparison. And that makes me excited!
Quote from 7sixty's (publisher) Josh Hoover about "My Army": "Basically each player rushes to destroy a vase containing a My Army member. Whoever breaks the vase has the AI character fighting for them. Then when the AI characters/Army are defeated, rather than dying they simply ‘switch sides’ and fight on behalf of whoever defeated them last." So yeah, gotta say for a beam 'em up, that is rather unique.
At this time it is difficult to get accurate prices. Steam only shows the price in your region. The plugin I used to use is now giving false information so I need a new price comparison source that is reliable. I would rather give no price at all than give the wrong price because my source of information was fallable.
i think the army feature is where you can recruit new fighters with new abilities and brawl with them. It make sense if you play local then you can team up with a friend for some double dragon beatdown.
im so glad TB liked the game....i just bought this on a whim and it was the best buy of my life....this game is sooooooo good and so fun...and very diverse , also hard later on...its a masterpiece of indie development, to bad they didnt do it for pc all the way but still..really good job Also TB "my army" is a bunch of soldiers you unlock and summon in fights(costs gold), if you get a certain pickup, you can chose witch soldiers are available for summoning :)
TB this is why I watch your videos; it's so awesome to see your genuine enjoyment of a game. Ignore the people that bitch and moan about how you play games and just do you. Keep it up TB.
(Kung-Fu Strike will also feature a versus mode, which will have a feature called “My Army,” in which players compete for AI characters to battle the other player’s forces.) for any1 who is curious
I find myself really, really really wishing that Dynasty Warriors games had gameplay that looked/felt more like this, or that this game was more Dynasty Warriors-esque with the big map army vs army (and a few heroes on each side) thing. That would make me sooooooo happy.
You are quite right sir. As long as your reference to graphical filtering includes antialiasing and vertical sync, then I have no argument. It is the responsibility of the new system builder to research compatible components that fit their needs, and of course, to balance performance with cost.
"The U.S. dollar is the currency most used in international transactions and is one of the world's dominant reserve currencies.[15] Several countries use it as their official currency, and in many others it is the de facto currency.[16] It is also used as the sole currency in some British Overseas Territories, the British Virgin Islands and the Turks and Caicos islands" Wikipedia(sorry, dam google only brought up this and several other question sites :P Most euro zone shops can accept it as well
The guys who designed the bossfights in this game HAVE TO WORK ON EVERY MMO BOSSFIGHT EVER FROM THIS MOMENT CUZ THEY ARE GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODS!!! Love them!!! fucking lovethem.
The falling things are gold, silver and copper shaped in real old time Chinese money. Also there are some Baozi, a kinda steamed wheat bread stuffed with vegetable and meat.
RIP. Its 5/2022 and your still missed. (I wish youtube would stop making me change my memorial comment every 20ish videos or so. when did they implement this new annoyance?)
Dude. I bought this game after seeing this and I absolutely LOVE it. Aside from some start up errors (which I fixed by installing XNA 3.1, in case any of you have the same problem), this game is flawless. Currently on "Chapter 4", having to play on Easy because the game is getting so hard any other difficulty is kicking my ass. If this game had some more customization, I bet it could be a serious contender to God Hand's title. :P
he said that a fan would say to play a specific dynasty warriors game to get the harder difficulty but chaos mode is in every game so no i didnt do exacly as he said :)
This is a port done right, granted there are limited resolutions & locked v-sync, but the game doesn't have performance issues from bad coding. This is honestly a good port. :P Textures and resolutions should always come after making sure the game coding isn't buggy on PC, and always can be modified in later via a patch. TB only complained about 720, because he's got 1080 monitors w/ 120 Hz refresh rates. Only if Prototype (1&2) were ported this well *no performance issues*
Oh TB says multiple times the best part of being a pc gamer is that he can use whatever peripheral he wants... but he does say in the video that the keyboard controls aren't too bad.
TB, I know you don't really take suggestions or requests - And you might have received this one before. But there's a game I think you would love, it's called Intrusion 2. It's very nostalgic in its contra-style gameplay and is ridiculous fun - some of the best boss battles I've seen in any game. It was made by a one-man developer over the course of three years. It's just really fun, cheap and I think it's more than worthy of note.
different countries put the letters in different places so he might have some unusual kind of keyboard or maybe he wasn't thinking much when he said it.
that krillen lookin boss is pretty cool. i think the street fighter similarities are intended, the creatures seem to wantr to pay homage to the martial arts media...stuff, idk the word to describe em
my friend got this game on release its a very fun play through on co-op and the bosses get more intresting/hard by stage 10-15 ( there is 28) plus the pvp mode is hours of fun so this game is very worth £6.30
He didn't end up putting in the pad because the controls worked. He uses the pad when the keyboard controls don't work. Also the difference between this and Rockband is that Rockband gives you the instrument controller and makes it obvious that its better if you play with it. also there are many different parts to wtf, just because a game fails in one area doesn't mean he thinks it's bad. It just means that part is bad.
"There is nothing zen about your actions!"
This should become an internet meme.
2:31 "The most artifacted thing known to man"
I wonder if TotalBiscuit has ever read Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff?
It's so nice to come across something worth while from left field. Thank you Mr. Biscuit for bringing me a throw back to fun as hell keyboard mashers.
I dont know why, but your latest videos have been really great^^ Just the feeling of the videos makes me smile! I hope for many more videos with this kind of feeling to it :)
I would argue that he is one of the most community supporting, and helpful UA-camrs out there. He constantly spreads awareness of indie games.

I love how TB gave the game a chance and enjoyed it as much as he did
Gotta say, I've been generally impressed with your upload rate while you've been away in San Fran
Take that prototype 2! TB may be grumpy at times, but it's pure fun to watch him enjoy a silly little game like this.
"Kicking people into orbit and having them bleed rice bowls should be a standard in every Kung-Fu game."
Yeah that's a big derp on my part. I have no idea why I said that.
It is not a good port. Just because the game was enjoyable does not mean that you can completely ignore the lack of options
Already did, yesterday.
You unlock some of the enemies that you can see in game which you can call for aid when needed. 1 or 2 depending on what kind of unit. That boss "Swordsman" in this video is actually unlockable so he is able to come and fight for you.
Anyone else glad to see TB finally able to be happy about a new game again? :p
I used to play this game when I was a kid it was pretty fun
Very addictive game. You feel like a complete bad ass when you dodge and punch at the right time, looks very choreographed. I reccommend playing this with a controller.
them skills at the end god i love tb
This video sold me on this game. Only around 1 hour in & it's incredibly fun.
"This is actually not terrible" - TB
A quote for the box/website :)
also
10/10
It's nice to hear TB enjoying himself despite his preconceptions!
With the addition of more characters, better camera movement, and a competitive scene this game would really make the "TEKKEN vs. Street Fighter" an apples-to-apples comparison. And that makes me excited!
TB's child-like laughter was fantastic.

Well thank heck for a useful YT comment!
TB, As a long-time Dynasty Warriors fan who only recently took the game off easy, I find your comment to be utterly hilarious.
I'm amazed by how many people are on youtube not giving a toss about the olympics.
TB this is why I watch your videos; it's so awesome to see your genuine enjoyment of a game. Ignore the people that bitch and moan about how you play games and just do you. Keep it up TB.
Surprisingly good for a first game. Good mechanics, and smooth flow to the fighting.
Vibration, camera shake and Kung-fu.
A "deadly" combination, all right.
"Into the Zen Room." "OOOWH! He's hitting me with sticks! This is not zen at all!"
omg the fan fiction!
TB: What the hell are you doing! hit him HARDER!
Jesse: I'm trying but MY combo is too SHORT!
Wow it has been a while sense one of your WTF is videos was of a game that you really had fun with.
Camera and text needs works, but looks like a nice bit of fun for a low price. I'm sold.
(Kung-Fu Strike will also feature a versus mode, which will have a feature called “My Army,” in which players compete for AI characters to battle the other player’s forces.) for any1 who is curious
I actually felt myself shouting come on TB at my computer on that battle with the swordsman haha!
I find myself really, really really wishing that Dynasty Warriors games had gameplay that looked/felt more like this, or that this game was more Dynasty Warriors-esque with the big map army vs army (and a few heroes on each side) thing. That would make me sooooooo happy.

I like it when TB enjoys the game he does WTF of. Makes me smile :)

im kinda glad this game made its way here. i played the Chinese demo of it a while back and i enjoyed it.
TB: "Stop hitting me with a stick!". Well said, Well said
Nice come back at the end!
Man dat hurricane kick. This is like street fighter!
The guys who designed the bossfights in this game HAVE TO WORK ON EVERY MMO BOSSFIGHT EVER FROM THIS MOMENT CUZ THEY ARE GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODS!!! Love them!!! fucking lovethem.
"Run around until you get health back" yup that's dynasty warriors
very well done, yet another great review by TotalHalibut
This was funny. The way he was totally dissing the game, and then completely changed his mind :).
Great, now I'm going to spend all weekend watching 70's wuxia flicks. I have stuff to do TB!
The falling things are gold, silver and copper shaped in real old time Chinese money. Also there are some Baozi, a kinda steamed wheat bread stuffed with vegetable and meat.
It's nice to hear TB laughing!
If TB is having fun. You know the game has got to be pretty good.
17:54 There you go TB. That's the way to finish a fight!
I would LOVE a play-through of this with TB and Jesse Cox! That would be funny.
RIP. Its 5/2022 and your still missed. (I wish youtube would stop making
me change my memorial comment every 20ish videos or so. when did they
implement this new annoyance?)
Small shining party hats get me everytime.
You already killed it by saying "This should become an internet meme."
I understand, I was just making sure he covered all possibilities before telling TB what to do.
Dinasty....... lolololololol, as a widespread gamer you just made my day
Actually your right about Dynasty Warriors, where the bosses really are the only real threat. And this is coming from a DW/SW fan.
As a "Dynasty Warriors Fanboy", I can safely say that EVERY DW is easy as hell, and that's what I love about the game.
the HJKL controles fits perfectly on a danich key bord they sit next to each other
Dude. I bought this game after seeing this and I absolutely LOVE it. Aside from some start up errors (which I fixed by installing XNA 3.1, in case any of you have the same problem), this game is flawless.

Flow is the right word to describe the combact
Well given this is their first game, I gotta say, I'm impressed.
Why do I suddenly have the urge to start singing....
EVERYBODY WAS KUNG FU FIGHTINGGGGGG!!!!
"Alienware's"
"Top of the line"
I found your problem.
when he said stop hitting me with the stick, the hell is wrong with you i laughed so hard my ribs hurt
On an unrelated note: oh my god, this game is all kinds of hilariously violent.
it's not a basket of rice balls, it's a steamer with steamed buns in it.
Everyone knows Dynasty Warriors doesn't get real until Lu Bu shows up and wrecks your shit.
I remember seeing this game a few months ago, and This is the first game in a while i had wanted to buy so bad :P
he said that a fan would say to play a specific dynasty warriors game to get the harder difficulty but chaos mode is in every game so no i didnt do exacly as he said :)
"WTF is..." is a first impressions. TB has a pad, but this was released for PC so the keyboard controls need to be functional.
Those kicks were fast as lightning . . .
This is a port done right, granted there are limited resolutions & locked v-sync, but the game doesn't have performance issues from bad coding.
This is honestly a good port. :P
Textures and resolutions should always come after making sure the game coding isn't buggy on PC, and always can be modified in later via a patch.

Very entertaining WTF episode. Good job!
"This is actually not terrible!" -going for the high praise there TB? :p
I always wondered what Lee Sin was like when he was younger, and not blind.
Welp, there goes my money again.
I must say TB, that last fight against the... generic asian person was quite intense.
11:13 The staves looked like rubber and it made me laugh :)
I'm pretty sure the rice balls and bananas are actually silver and gold ingots, shaped in a fancy way.
TB: "Why H? H isn't even close to any of those things"
*looks at keyboard, sees H, J, K, L*
Oh TB says multiple times the best part of being a pc gamer is that he can use whatever peripheral he wants...
but he does say in the video that the keyboard controls aren't too bad.
1) There are a lot of tactics there, although this gameplay works for first impressions
2) Those are dumplings actually
TB, I know you don't really take suggestions or requests - And you might have received this one before.

You could've gotten away with "I use a Dvorak keyboard, of course" ;)
They still are my friend, they still are.
"this is kind of fun" he said, while laughing in childlike glee
normally they would be next to each other on a qwerty keyboard but possibly he has dsk, colemak, etc.
Happy 6 year aniversary!
different countries put the letters in different places so he might have some unusual kind of keyboard or maybe he wasn't thinking much when he said it.
this video was posted exactly 6 years after TBs first video
that krillen lookin boss is pretty cool. i think the street fighter similarities are intended, the creatures seem to wantr to pay homage to the martial arts media...stuff, idk the word to describe em
