Thank you making me cry. I have work disney for years. But now I am paraplegic I thought I would never be able to do rides. But now I can see doing rides. I went on Soarin in living with the land in figment in Ratatouille. Now my next stop is to go to Hollywood Studios. Wish me luck on my transfers on the rides.
Thanks so much for doing this! Going to Disney at the end of the month with my husband for our 20th anniversary. We went on our honeymoon and excited to go on the star wars rides! He's a para and it helped put his mind at ease watching you transfer.
Thank you so much for these informative videos, Joci. My husband is a bilateral amputee and we are making plans to take our grandson to DW. Your videos are so instrumental in our planning. My husband is getting his first drive assist wheelchair in a couple of weeks. He also has a 4-wheel scooter. Which one would you recommend for the parks? He has great upper body strength. Also, would they allow his slide board in the parks? I think he may need to use this to transfer onto some of the rides. Thanks again for your videos.
Although my son can’t transfer himself. It was useful to see the seats up close. Although we’ve been a few times and pretty much are familiar with most transfers, there’s a couple we’ve yet to try. I am curious though about Toy story midway mania. It looked a bit awkward for you- I’m surprised you didn’t stay in your chair. Or do you prefer to transfer to all rides? Rather than remaining in your own chair. I did watch the video without sound, so not sure if you mentioned that.
How did the smart drive do during the day? Will the battery last a full 10 mile day? It’s great to see that they have the transfer devices. Thank you for making this content.
I made sure to keep turning it off when I wasn’t using it so it did really well lasting the whole day! I think the battery is only able to go 7 miles but I didn’t have any problems and we definitely did more than 7 some days
Whoever disliked this is an idiot. I just found your channel and it is so informative and helpful. Plus you have such great energy! I am getting my first chair next week and am pretty nervous...
Yes!! The cast members are not allowed to touch you, but you can absolutely have someone in your party help! Alex has lifted me onto many rides without any problems

Those transfer devices weren’t available years ago. I like the idea! Back then, I either transferred alone or friends helped. Great info. 😎
My family and I were there last year just before Covid hit. The transfer devices do make more enjoyable! We had a blast!!
This is extremely helpful for me. Next Tuesday I'll be at Hollywood Studios in a mobile scooter.
have fun! I'll be at WDW in about two weeks!
@@JociScott it was a great trip.

Hi, how wide is you wheelchair? I saw in the video that in the start war ride is a little be narrow. I want to see if my wheelchair will fit
Hi there, I do not use this wheelchair anymore. As a rough estimate, I'd say it was about 25 inches wide.
Do they allow a family member with you to help transfer if needed?
Yes!! The cast members are not allowed to touch you, but you can absolutely have someone in your party help! Alex has lifted me onto many rides without any problems
Desde ya te amo jajjaja Saludos desde Ciudad de México.
What about ballerina slippers or loafers and get in your car
Wear softsole moccasins and transfer
I don't have any softsole moccasins
