Another great video 😊I’m actually in Florida at the moment checked in to Disney Vero Beach it’s been a favourite of ours but now that I’m disabled I don’t think we’ll be coming back the room is awful supposed to be accessible but it’s tiny so very hard to manoeuvre and I can’t access the balcony I need my husband to get me in and out of the front door as it’s impossible from the chair the staff are lovely but they didn’t design the room I have no idea who in Disney thought this was acceptable hoping for better when we go to Orlando Wednesday
Hi Clare! I'm really surprised to hear that about Vero Beach. I would truly expect better from Disney. Be sure to let a manager know the issues you are having. Even if they cannot resolve the situation for you right now, hopefully they will take action to remedy the situation for the future. So far we've been really happy with the accessibility in the rooms we've stayed in, from value resorts through Deluxe villas. I bet you will find a much better experience when you check in to WDW.
It’s a bit disappointing that we lost a ride in chair attraction (Great Movie Ride) that was replaced by a transfer requirement. The transfer row will help, but as I have no ability to stand I worry it would be difficult to transfer back up to my chair without assistance.
Wow, I didn’t know great movie ride was wheelchair accessible! That’s pretty shocking that they didn’t preserve that. If you can do a slide transfer and have enough upper body strength to pull yourself up a 4-5” step three times, you should be ok.
Sorry that turned into a real moan there. I’ve just been so impressed by your videos and how helpful they are and I feel as if there should be some warning of the pitfalls of this resort
No worries! We haven't been to Vero, but we have family near there, so now we are thinking we need to try a night there and do a video on it. Thanks for the video idea! 🌴🌊
They are going to try and show us an accessible inn room tomorrow…they can’t move us to it but wanted us to see if we thought it was ok we’re in rm 1226 and it’s truly horrible so avoid at all costs
