My switch to a EVs has reduced my Insurance cost. I suspect you need to shop around the competitors.
EV's are clearly superior in the city/suburban duty cycle. ICE vehicles are at peak efficiency and probably not much more can be gained by using them. Time to make the switch. We did roughly 3 years ago. No regrets here. Tesla is obviously the technology leader in the EV space and that is the brand I would recommend. For full disclosure, my personal car is a 2023 Mustang GT 6 speed, but it's more a weekend car used for driving enjoyment.
After my daughter's experience with her 2015 model S I would not recommend a Tesla to anyone. The car was a POS.

EVs have lower operational and maintenance costs. They require much less maintenance, no oil changes, and have lower fuel costs due to the cheaper price of electricity.
Yeah, because the noise and costs of gas and finding gas stations the move from horses to automobiles will never happen.
