This just have me a GREAT Mother’s Day gift idea for my wife! She would love those trellis’s for her first garden. Thanks for the vid!
Do you have a brother🤣
@@kyleparker775 hahahahaha!!! That made me laugh 😂
That's sweet of you
Lucky lady!
Who else gets energized and inspired by watching these satisfying videos? I am way ahead in the maintenance of my garden this year .😄 Thank you Laura! Have a blessed day!
Me too. We have had some 60 and 70 degree days in Ohio this year. Found some hellebores in Home Depot, of all places. Never knew what type of clematis I had, but now I know. Thanks, Laura.
Yep! Totally inspired. Did you also go "wait, what's a Harmony White Stalk?" LOL Now I gotta go back to the nursery. Womp womp
Me too! I watch a video then feel guilty that I am not doing something to clean up or plant something. Its just something in human nature that love 💕 to work with others. Missing my friends this year so much! Laura just inspires other garden loving people 💝
It’s on my to due list with my coffee to start my day. I have learned so much from her videos.
Very satisfying indeed!
Good morning, gardening friends! Laura! Thanks for talking about the different clematis. I had never known there were “3” different varieties and it makes so much sense now!
I just wanted to mention that last year I bought one from your parent’s garden center that is called Violet Elizabeth because the name incorporates both of my grandmas who have passed! My heart was FULL when I found that one not knowing it existed. Anyway, I just wanted to tell you that.♥️
Aww that is sooo sweet. I love that! 😊
Now we know to look on the tag to find out what group they belong to-- never knew that.
@@annehedlund7333 yeah! I have only bought maybe 4 clematis and never paid attention or saw that info.
Awwwww. That is so sweet.
What a fine tribute to your Grannies.
Love how your co-host keeps making little appearances 🐈🐈🐈🐈🐾🐾🐾🐾
Same! We always wait for Russell and Cheddar to appear ❤️So in love with those to cuddlebugs
I was gonna say the same thing! Russels practically in every video and I love it
Good morning y’all, coffee and Garden Answer, great start to the day 🌺
Yes warm coffee in hand and I was actually watching Lauras older videos then saw the new post! JOY JOY JOY
good morning
Good Morning Gardening friends🥰
Same! Morning! 🌞
Everyday hehe 🌹
Benjamin is going to be a force of nature when is older. His knowledge will be unending. I can hear him saying, "no Samantha Grace it's this way, that's what mom said", LOL
Laughing to myself about the rocks on the pick up, sweet Momma saying "um I think Dad wouldn't like that"..........been there.......
Thank you, Laura for making this video! I have three clematis and I had no idea if I should prune them or not. Today I am going to go out and study them. I love the way you teach, so simple and to the point. You just speak my language.
That cat is so funny he's in a lot of your videos.... So sweet
Only Laura would help a tree de-leaf for a pretty look! Love this channel! 💜💜💜
Love, love, love watching your videos! This one is especially sweet with all your little helpers!
The cats are so funny they really are always right where you are. Too cute.
God im so happy when i see a new video on your channel!😁You give my mood such a boost thank you so much😊
You’re such an inspiration! You make me want to just take flight and attack my yard, making improvements and looking for things I can plant to improve the beauty of my yard. Thanks for your light! ❤️🙏🏽
Agree!
My grandchildren and great grandchildren love your videos -- they practice much of what you implement in your lawn in their lawns. They are doing a great job because of your gardening instructions. We are looking forward to seeing more of your family when the weather becomes warmer enjoying your beautiful lawn.
Hi Laura, saw the rake with broken combs. Several years ago my wife bought our little boys a gardening tool set when they were about the age of Benjamin. After they had outgrown them, I removed the short handle from the rake and fit a longer broom handle in it. The width is about 6 to 7 inches wide and it works perfect in the flower beds cleaning leaves and debris being able to get in between flowers that are close together. It has worked well for years and this past summer my wife saw another one and bought it. I replaced the short handle with a longer one and now we both have a great little rake so we can work together tidying up in the spring and fall. Love your videos, at 72 years young still learning a lot from them. Keep up the good job. Jim Light
I’d love to see this area again in a month or two. I love that small intimate little area.
Those trellis are really so beautiful!
Agreed! I believe they're The Gothic Wall Trellis from Gardeners Supply Co.
I have missed you. Requesting fro Proven Winner asking what happened to your show I always watched. baby Girl, right.
@@twoironurns1166 they are the Panacea trellis
This helped so very much as I've "taken over" my grandmother's house & want to preserve the beauty she & my grandpa worked so hard for. Thank you!!!
Those mini hellebores are simply fantastic looking.
My first year in the plant farm/retail business and I couldn't be more thankful for the abundance of information You provide!🙌❤ Thank You for sharing Your time and knowledge.
Good morning from Vancouver Canada where coffee chocolate and Laura are bringing JOY! Love to all! Have a great day!
I really enjoy the timing of your video posts. It is really enjoyable to start the day with a cup of coffee and whatever Laura is doing in the garden for the day. And of course any video with Aaron, Benjamin, Samatha Grace, cats and chickens is a fun bonus.
💚💚AGREE💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚
I so enjoy the videos where do several different projects! Always so informational and you are such a breath of fresh air. You and Aaron have also influenced us to build our Dewalt fleet of tools, we now have Dewalt battery powered everything! Thanks for being spectacular!
Do you happen to have a DeWalt weed wacker? (String trimmer, weed eater....whatever term you use!) I love my DeWalt blower, drills, etc and I’ve been looking at the weed wacker but wonder if it would be powerful enough and stay charged long enough.
Thanks for the tips! I was cleaning up a bit yesterday. I actually was so proud when I dug in my dirt. 27 years and good composting has created rich black soil 😁. Just had to share.
You should be proud! It’s a wonderful thing to have rich, fertile soil. Happy gardening!
@@heatherw.2751 Thank you, still waiting to plant, cold weather in Michigan.
Hello from Canada and from a soil scientist love this ❤️❤️❤️🇨🇦
I know gloves probably should be worn, but like you, I love to have my bare hands in the removal of the debris and most definitely the soil. It’s so nice.
Me too! I feel like being able to touch the plants and the soil somehow make things grow better. It may sound silly, but that’s how I roll!😉
Same.
I love seeing Benjamin in the videos, he steals the show every time, so dang cute!
I made a garden focal point yesterday: old concrete bird bath encircled by old curved concrete edgers. Thanks for the inspiration!
Love the pearls ! Such a sweet tradition to get a flat of stock !
Good to know there are 3 groups of clematis. Very helpful. Thank you.😁
You gave great advice 👍 You like doing small areas because they go quickly and show nice results 👍
I break my yard and garden into puzzle pieces. By the time I've finished the 500 piece puzzle, it looks great.
I watched both videos this morning!
I'm super charged with Laura and coffee ☕☺

Good morning! 🌞 Thank you for this video. I feel more comfortable about pruning my Clematis after watching this segment. 😅 Have a blessed day everyone.
I was reminded yesterday by a old family friend that when the hellebores came out that I use to sit and stare at them in the church floral arrangements.
Then that reminded me of when i had proclaimed that I knew why they came up at Christmas early spring they are embrassed cos they are so beautiful and that's why they look down.
Love my Pennes Pink hellebores. Even their dying out process is beautiful as they turn a sage green!
Your mom is so sweet with surprising you with stock every year. ♥️
Absolutely love it when Russel strolls by on cue lol. I look forward to your videos and learning so much, thank you!
Hi Laura! This was very helpful and interesting. The stock look really pretty with the hellebores. Such a sweet thing for your Mom to do every year. Everything looks so fresh now. Thank you for sharing!
Omgosh leaned a lot in my old age.. and that white flower just made that area pop. Great video Laura and Aaron
I always make sure to plant stocks somewhere in my yard. Their perfume makes me happy as I’m working. And hellebores! Absolutely love them. Saw one in a greenhouse several years ago. I had never heard of them or seen them before, I fell in love with it and of course bought it. I have to keep it inside over winter as I’m in zone 3, Alberta Canada. Love your UA-cam channel, you are an inspiration to me and I guess the whole world, as I see comments from all over!
Good morning to my favorite gardening couple and family!
Benjamin is a great helper! 🥰
Cheddar makes every video! I love him ♥️😼
Thank you so much for these seasonal videos. After I watch them I go out into my garden and if I have the plants do the same thing that you are doing even though I'm in zone 6A. I think my garden will be more beautiful this year because of all the great tips you've given on pruning planting and fertilizing
It's Benjamin there looking great today 😃🥰 I hope your baby is doing very well 🥰😊 have a beautiful day and enjoy your day and night 🤗😊
Am I the only one that loves the look of a flowerbed thats just been cleaned? I can't get over the just simple clean look, full of promise and excitement :D Like seeing Laura ripping the old leaves of that japanese maple!!! So satisfying :) Also I think it's high time Laura gave us a tour of her Hellebore collection, a nice long one please?
Thanks Laura for clearing up the clematis mystery - you explained that clearly and simply. I'll be able to move forward with confidence.
My favourite days are when there are two new videos to enjoy with my morning coffee! Highlights and this one same day, bonus!!
You look so beautiful this morning! Not that you don't every day!!! I love the smell of clove! I have never seen those before. You're mom is so sweet to do that every year.
Thank you, esp about the clematis. We have several and it's about time I knew what I was doing !
I see Benjamin and it absolutely sends a smile to my face. He's become so active with the help this season!!
Super pretty! Feels good to get rid of the old and welcome the new! And of course Russell & Cheddar 😋
What a cute helper. Good job Benjamin!
I was rubbing up on the early bee balm plants while working in the garden. The scent made me smile!
I did the same thing yesterday 😊
Me too!
Bee balm scent is the best!
Yes! Love that smell! Only problem is mine takes over my flower bed and is so invasive for me. I think I read that it’s related to mint so that makes sense!
@@nhunter6506 so far I haven’t had that issue. I do with I hadn’t planted witches nettles, I think that is the name, lovely ground cover, but I am having to remove it every where..
Morning! Love how the garden bed looks after cleanup. It's so satisfying when things are cleaned out. Love the helebores, so pretty.
O’ Goodness!!!!! Another Timely Video. I have a few heavy metal trellises & I was considering purchasing some clematis to plant near the trellises. I had no idea there were different types of groups. Yet again, Garden Answer for the Win on Instruction. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I, also, had no idea there would be different pruning processes either. I have one clematis and just followed info on the package (keep package info for everything) to prune fully.
What a GOD thing! I just watched the video "Beautiful Trellises & Planting Pink Mink Clematis" dated: August 18th, 2019 yesterday........a Wealth of Information! Thank you for that video and also this lesson!
My favorite hour of the day is GA and coffee...before the kids wake up! 🥰
Never really thought about removing last years leaves from our tree but great idea. It looks so much better and I don’t have to worry about them falling in my new mulch. 😊
You inspire so many people I am so blessed to find you😀
Good evening Laura, watching from Philippines ❤️🇵🇭
Are you kidding me?? The definition of content I didn't know I needed.
Watching with my first cup of coffee & waiting on the thunderstorms to come in. Happy Hump Day!!

Going down to 33 for 2 nights. Gotta drag out the frost blankets to cover all those glorious buds.
I needed the sweetness of seeing Benjamin doing "daddy type" fixing and loading today. Gave me a chuckle!
Love your videos! :-)
Hi Laura, I finally got my hands on my very first Limelight Hydrangeas!!! I am so excited, all from watching your videos and seeing how beautiful they are so thank you!!!
Hello, my daughter bought me one for Mother’s Day I planted it around my lamp post and there’s flowers around it it’s is so beautiful very healthy plant it has flour from Mother’s Day till now and still flowering so many flowers it never stops flowering it is late July and there is a whole bunch of flowers that are starting to pop out so I think mine is all summer Bloomer I live in Michigan and I don’t know what type I have. Great videos thank you I am learning a lot😀
Loved your cat's walk-through & cameos.
Can we see more of your baby girl Samantha? Newborns are such a delight.
That sweet lil Benjamin steals the show such a lil wanta be helper! Love it!!! JUDY in Pensacola
These explanations helped some things really click for me! Thank you!
I just love that Clematis wall, it must be so dreamy to wake up and enjoy a cup of Coffee at that table! + Thanks for the reminder to quit procrastinating on cleaning up my garden beds! Thank-You!
The hellebores are beautiful.
I really enjoy your knowledge and presentation! Thank you for your motivation and beauty😍
I love hellebores too! I was pleased to hear you mention that you are trying to fill in an area of all hellebores; I'm doing the same thing! I have an area that contains my composting that I installed a gravel pathway with an arbor. Along the sides of the pathway I put in boxwoods as well as on the sides of the arbor. On each side of the pathway inside the boxwoods I've been building up the areas with the hellebores. I'm working towards a minimum of work to be done on those beds during the summer months. I'm so happy to see them reseeding!
Good morning, perfect wake up video with my coffee. The one thing I find disappointing with Hellebore is the blooms face down. I’m getting motivated. 👍🏼❤️🙋🏼♀️
I wasn’t aware that there were 3 types of clematis. That’s great to know. I plan on planting one this year and I want to get a #3. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with all of us. We appreciate you.
I discovered Stock a few years ago and I adore them. The smell is wonderful ! This year I planted a lavender and a pink stock in pots that are on the deck ! I remember the first video that you did a few years ago on taking care of hellbores. I have used that method since then and my hellbores have tripled in size. Loved this video !!
I found 2 clematis last year that didn't have the group number on their tags. I'll be watching them closely this year so that I know how to prune. Thanks for such a timely video, Laura!
Hi! I just want to add that you can also shade the roots of clematis with a good thick layer of mulch. You don't want the mulch to come right up to the stem and create rot problems, so you leave maybe a five inch circle around the base of the plant. In a lot of areas I find this easier than making sure I have other plants right there. Sometimes that just doesn't work in the space.
Love halaboris! It looks so good with a bit of mulch! Benjamin fixing the gator.... 😀 hugs 💜
This video just like all the others was so helpful. I can’t wait to see this area in one of your monthly tours!!
This was a perfect video for me this morning as I just bought two hellebores and want to buy a clematis! Learned so much! My choice will definitely be better informed! Thank you! Had to chuckle at the end when Benjamin used Aaron's truck as his plaything, filling (?) the back with stones. Boys and their trucks!
I too am getting ready to buy a new clematis so this was definitely right on time. I’m shooting for type 3. I tend to prune things kind of hard. I’m looking for a blue flowering variety!
Thanks for talking about the clematis! I looked EVERYWHERE on how to prune them properly. I live in my great grandparents house that they built in the 50s and theres a huge clematis on the back porch that I had no idea how to shape and take care of. So I just let it grow crazy because it has to be over 30 years old and I didnt want to hurt it. Now I know! Thanks!
Old growth clematis never survive our winters, so we prune the other two groups the same. Cut to one foot off the ground early spring. There has been a rare easy winter or two that I salvaged early bloom on mine in 55 years of growing them. At one time I had 33 different clematis on our property. 81 yesterday, and showing it big time.
I don't know but I'm loving this hair
You are so interesting listening to all the garden info and so sweet,!! Thanks for taking the time to do that🤗
I never knew I love hellebore before today, I'm going to my local garden center to get some soon.
I've been researching clematis for a couple of years in anticipation of planting some in my garden. But I've always been confused by the three different groups. Thank you for explaining them so concisely! I finally feel like I can do this!
This was very helpful vid on growing clematis. I too plan to plant some this spring on a shady side of my garden behind a 6ft fence. I’ll definitely try the pink mink since your having great success! Thank you.
Thank you, I love the abstract card ideas! You are wonderful.
I love stocks. They smell heavenly.
I'm skeptical. If by "clove" she means "smells like patchouli oil," count me out. I detest that aroma.
@@Bamboo4U2 they don’t smell like pauchouli oil. I think they smell more like vanilla. They are strongly scented like lilacs, roses and some other flowers. Some people describe them as honey scented.
@@janboyd1172 well, that's an entirely a different matter. 👍
Oh those stock look so good with the hellebores!
Good morning! 🌻🐝
A wealth of actual information thats what I love about this channel you don't go in circles and confuse us with useless info
I think all Helibores are beautiful.
Hello everyone! Happy gardening🥰🥰🥰
I am always energized from watching these videos. Everyday, I learn something new from you. Thank you so much. 😊🌷
Thanks for all your tireless work . We love you and your videos.
Love all the spring cleaning, pruning, the new plants and of course Benjamin trying to put some rocks in his Daddy's car! Love it all!
I remember when you planted those box woods around the heliobores and they were so tiny and now look at them. It’s a proper hedge! 🤣🤣
It's just soo satisfying watching you clean your garden I love it
