If there are idiots paying hundreds of thousands of dollars for things that are not even real, then there is more than enough income for our government to tax such items very heavily and redistribute those gains to where they are most needed in real life.

Virtual goods worth a lot in a this age, mostly revolving around Metaverse and NFTs, speaking of NFT, Dragon evolution is also an awesome P2E project, with great gaming finance build up, this is going to be big this season
How is this even going to work? You won't actually own these items. It'll be virtual. Just like buying ingame items with ingame currency. Like this makes no sense...
How it works: they present some virtual shiny object with a price on it for sale and you - being the wealthy dummy - decide to throw your money away on said shiny object. Since there was no actual physical object to begin with, they pay the programmer who designed the object a small modest wage for his time and the company pockets every penny of the remainder as profit. There was no production costs to speak of, no transportation costs, no inventory to tax, and no employees to handle virtual items. You get a fake thing and the company - cackling uncontrollably - takes all of your money. That's how it works.
