- Here is a super easy way to make stencils in Photoshop of Harry Styles, I will be showing how to create a 5 Layer stencil using Photoshop and a Stencil Script I have created. I then go through the process of cutting the SVG files on my Cricut machine and painting them up! If you want a copy of the script, you can find it in the members on section along with a copy of the stencil layers I made and the pattern used for the background.
To join the Members only area for the script and stencils here is the link:

Amazing!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video.
Excellent.
Thank you! Glad you like the video.
@@WickedPaint You're welcome.
Awesome work. What type of computer are you working on for these stencil projects?
Thanks Troy. I am working a regular windows computer with photoshop on it then cutting the stencils on a cricut machine.
Hi. I bought your plugin for stencils in PS, works great, just I’ve some petitions for futures updates, but for now is ok. Too I’ve a cricut machine, just I have a problem with the paper. What kind of paper/cardboard do you recommend to make it easier to remove it without breaking/tear and without sticking to the pad and without having a fold memory effect. I am using the LightGrip. Excuse me, so many questions.
Regards.
Hi, thanks for the feedback and glad to hear you like the plugin. Feel free to give some feedback and I can fix that in the next update! For paper I like to use 220gsm thick card, Crichton cuts it well and it is thick enough to not tear.
Question do you have to use a special program to cut the stencils? I had an old cricut machine years ago. I had to have a program and it couldn't be online for it to work.
To cut the stencils you need to use the software that comes with the Cricut if that is what you are using. The software also needs an online connection which is annoying sometimes.
great vids, can you tell me how to add the + markers to each layer in the same place within photoshop?
In this video I used a script to create each layer, that script also adds the ➕️ markers to each layer. Helps to speed things up a bit.
@@WickedPaint Yh I noticed you used the script however my photoshop and MacBook are too old for updates so I was wondering if you know a way I can do it within photoshop it’s self?
I’d happily sign up to get the script but I’m using MacBook from 2012 with Catalina lol
@durtyjtv Fair enough, if you take a look at my other video of making the David Bowie stencils it shows the manual process
@@WickedPaint you are a legend!!!
@@WickedPaint hi pal watched it a few more times and it does mention how to do it, they just appear? Also, can I ask what Cricut model you use?
Is the new script available to automatically add bridges?
No right now the script only separates the layers and adds markers in the corners. The next version I am working on will be the same but with a preview window. I am planning a version that will add bridges but that won't be available till next year.
Are you able to use Photoshop with other cut machines such as silhouette or brother? Thank you
Yes you are, you just need to export the layers as png or svg into the machines cutting software
@@WickedPaint thanks for the quick reply!
What kind of paper do you use to spray your paint on?
I am using 220gsm card which is just thick enough to hold the paint but I would recommend something a little bit thicker if you want to put it in a frame.
Hi - I am having issues that when I print the different layers they come out in slightly different sizes even though I change it within Cricut when it on the canvas before printing. Is there a trick to making all stencils the Same size? Ty
Hi William, what I do to avoid this problem is have a + marker in each corner in exactly the same place on each layer. Then when I take things into cricut and use the distance of the markers to make sure each layer is cut at the same scale...usually 297mm as that is the largest width you can cut on a cricut.
Thank you so much. I think that was my problem. I'll give it a whirl, great channel by the way.
Good luck and if you have any trouble feel free to ask. Glad you're enjoying the channel!
what year of phothoshop is that i didnt get that stencil option in my phothoshop
The stencil option is something I created that is available to download for those who become members of the channel.
I have to get a laser cutter lol
A laser cutter would be awesome and I wish I had the space for one. I'm surprised my Cricut hasn't blown up yet with all the stencils I have made on it.
@@WickedPaint I have hard time believing that the cricut could cut that level of detail. I mean it could but I think it would take forever no?
You would be surprised what these things can do! It does take a while though and some of the more detailed layers take about 20-30 minutes which is still way better than cutting by hand. The biggest drawback with them is the limited cutting size for stencils.
hello, how can i get the script you created on photoshop? Thank you
Hi, right now the script is only available in the members only section of this channel which you can find by clicking the join button under the videos. You will also find two videos showing you how to install and use the script in the members only section.
@@WickedPaint OK 🙂
I was trying to join to get the script for photoshop however there’s no join button
Hi Matt, there should be a button under the video otherwise there is a link in the description of this video. Welcome to the wicked stencil club🎉
