Awesome video a lot of work into this one. Also great tip on flipping the image horizontal so the machine can cut easier i didnt even think about that. Keep up the good work

Should try flipping it over when you remove the stencil from the mat. Roll the mat from the stencil instead. Much easier to come off and the mat will always flatten back out vs your stencil becoming curled.

    Hey man!
I'm doing art cutting stencils by hand for a few years now and I want to level it all up a bit atm, mainly to save some time - your videos inspired me so much and I want to ask a question 🙌Most of my paintings are like 60x50, 50x40 and sometimes bigger - Silhouette Pro could be a perfect plotter for something like this, right? I see u reccomended Cricut many times, but I can't find any that would be as wide as Silhouette is unfortunately.
Have a good day, wishing u all the best 🙏

Upgrading to a machine is the best way to save some time, I found the silhouette pro to be good but it struggled at really big sizes especially if your material is a bit thick too. Once you find the right settings and it works then its great. I prefer the cricut as it is much more user friendly and most of the stuff I paint fits onto the larger matts.

@@WickedPaint Thank u for a quick response! 🙌 I think I'll buy the Silhouette, because connecting all parts of stencils to make a bigger one of it could be to much of a hassle and I just hope to master this thing quite quickly, haha. I'm working with 2.5mm mylar foil so I hope It will handle it well. Thank u once again!

Awesome video! What type of Kraft Paper are you using? I tried some 80lb but didn't have the rigidity that you have.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed the video! I was using 225gsm kraft paper which converts to 135 lbs. I found that using the 80lbs setting on the machine doubled the speed and I would add 1 or 2 passes as well as add a couple on force. This helped reduce the cut time by an hour or two.

What is your honest opinion on the Silhouette Cameo Pro? I'm not sure I like it very much I had issues with it cutting off the mat.

Yeah I was a bit disappointed to be honest...I had alot of issues cutting on the mat too especially when I tried to go big like A1 size. In the end I gave up and cut A2 which only just worked. Cutting smaller is OK but compared to my cricut it is so loud and slow. I have since gone back to cricut and making smaller stencils
