GUYS THE SHENGSHOU CRAXY 4X4 IS NOT A REAL 4X4X4, I WAS WRONG!!
There is also a Double Circle Real 6x6x6, and a Double Circle Real 5x5x5 v2 (turns much better) that I didn't mention in the video, so please please go check out Carl's channel [link in the description] :D
I actually own the 5x5 version. The 5x5 has always been a favorite. It's a nice round number. It's a "big cube" so it's not just a simple puzzle. Plenty of dofferent methods to solve it. I saw the original years ago. So when he made a V2 (and now that I make adult money that I can spend on toys) I had to get it. It is incredible. It's the pride of my collection. I will absolutely be saving up for the 6x6
@@nickroethel3326 awesome! I want them too but can't really afford them right now. One day though, they might be in my collection
Cubing seems like an expensive hobby, why can’t there be collecting hobbies that are friendly to the wallet?
@@placeholderdoe most cubes arent that expensive
As someone who always cared more about the math of the cube than actually solving it, this is something I have thought about for years. I think this kind of cube would prevent parity issues, though I'm not 100% certain.
Regardless, I want one.
I think only the odd ones would prevent parity
@@maxvangulik1988 I don't think so. Parity errors are definitely tied to the inner cube. I solve centers last and I fix parity errors by rotating the inner cube. If you had it in the correct orientation to start, I think you'd be good. I can't remember right now exactly which rotations tie to which parity errors. I know the even cube has an extra one. Haven't solved on in a while. A little rusty.
@@Sam_on_UA-cam ok but you can’t get parity on a 3x3x3
@@Sam_on_UA-cam also odd cubes have centers of faces that can’t swap. Because those can’t be seen on a void, you can get parity on a void cube.

Cube Theory is always so fun.
Dino is better than skewb
sthu all cube are cool
Dino and skewb are both good
I love it when I find a channel early. There are several huge channels I subscribed to when they were tiny, like Ask a Mortician and Philosophy Tube. Hopefully you're next. It is hard to have a new and interesting perspective on cubing, as it is a pretty well worn topic. So far, I like what I've seen.
Thanks! I have a few channels I watch that I found early too. I remember watching Mr. Beast when he had maybe 10k subs.
Anyways, thanks! I see pretty much every other cubing UA-camr do the same speedsolving videos all the time, but I like pushing the limits into strange directions that should be further explored.
I love cube theory this is really nice
Dude you are 100% gonna blow up this is so high quality dude
I don't really know much about cubing (your videos are just fascinating) but could you possibly make a 7x7x7 with a 5x5x5 inside and a 3x3x3 inside of that?
Yes! Carl also more recently made a Real 6x6x6
@@RowanFortier How would that work?
The 21x21 is missing stickers, magnets, boron treatment, and maglev
speedcubers be like
@@RowanFortier😂
Guess what?
Stickerless cubes are better than stickered cubes. 🖕🤬🖕
The imaterialise shop is much cheaper but still a 3d printed custom puzzle. I think I paid $700-750 for it. Definitely not more than $800. Including the colored tiles and shipping.
I love these kinds of videos, keep it up!
Tony Fisher is pretty active on UA-cam. You should ping him to see if he has a copy of that old article.
I’m pretty sure I would have to pay to get shipped a backorder of it from cff
Super interesting discussion
I didnt find someone talk about these internal pieces problem and its hard to find information in internet too
kinda off topic here, but hasn't no one noticed that Carl Hoff's pfp is an ambigram? It's amazing!
The number of pieces is n³ - (n - 2)³.
Yep
Woah why did I not think about this before? I always just assumed that they had their respective number of pieces lol
actually, you multiply the # of pieces on one side by 6 (to get the pieces on all the sides combined)
False
False, if you do it this way you count how many faces the cube has but we are counting the pieces. For example one corner piece has three faces meaning it is visible from three sides. If we use your method of counting pieces we would be counting one corner piece three times.
Quite interesting!
you melt my mind every time
muhahahahaha 😈
Great video Rowan! I really liked it!
Since when did your channel become directed by Michael Bay 😭😭😭.
You need to teach me all about real puzzles now or at least give more videos please!!!!
Also everyone you should totally join the channel
Thank you CubingWithRiley - Riley Fraigun!! I'm glad that you also think my editing has improved, and understand the humorous comparison to the famous director Michael Bay. Unfortunately, this is pretty much the entire story for Real Big Cubes. Carl Hoff did an amazing job designing and making these puzzles, but I don't think they are officially mass produced. Stay awesome 😎
@@RowanFortier Sadge I wanna learn more 😭😭😭
You stay awesome too!
Real 4x4 (4x4+2x2 inside) is not Sengso 4x4, but MF Crazy 4x4 V1. Sengso Crazy 4x4 is Fused 3x3 Edges only inside (like in Sengso Crazy 2x2).
P.S. Spoiler - Crazy 4x4 V2/V3 is Super Real 4x4. V3 is the same V2, additional corners no need to solve.
love watching all these videos on cubes when I can’ even solve a 3x3x3 XDDD
Im not even lying I was thinking about this the past week 😂
These videos are really good! You had earned a sub from me from the 4D video but this video doubled down on the earned sub
Thank you!
imagine paying 980 bucks for something you can print yourself
What about a real 3x3x3 with a 1x1x1 in it? 🙂
1x1x1 cubes are too difficult to solve so I think it would end up being impossible to do, even with a computer
So apparently the number of pieces on any nxnxn cube is n³-(n-2)³
So true
bro graduated from minecraft
Under rated
Sweet new video
Thanks!
4d real puzzles in HSC when
2032 i think
Hang on a second. If the Crazy 4x4 is a real 4x4, then wouldn't the Crazy 5x5 v2 be a real 5x5...?
Never mind, I just answered this question for myself in the shower, where all the best thoughts happen. I get it now lol
Crazy! Haha
best ending ever
4:50 great editing on this scene/srs
Triple rhombus schrodinger's cat 8x8xG coming soon?
What?
But also, yes
I've never touched a rubix cube in my life. I don't know why i need to know any of this but i'm here anyway and i'm not mad about it

How would you get to the inside pieces without breaking it tho? The inside 8 cubes just CANNOT exist.
Dunno what the vid is about(haven't watched it complete rn) but just to mention even the 3x3x3 does not have 27 pieces. It has 26.
I know
@@RowanFortier sorry hadn't watched the complete video at the time I wrote the comment, i found out later that you knew
Yeah you are right but try umm…… 21x21 please
ok but there should be a fake 5x5x5 that dissapears when you try to turn it
4:27 Real Gigaminx
An NxNxN with internal pieces is like a 4D cube
not at all. Just a new type of simple 3D puzzle
What inside of 2 × 2 & 1 × 1
nothing. It only works for 3x3x3+
0x0 and -1x-1 obviously
if you remove the core, then there won't be any pieces gone😉
Can you make a tutorial on lmcf method ( because I can't understand the corner thingy and e2l as well so as the transition phase and everything)
Bro uses volume instead of surface area
Does the puppet cube count?
No
@@RowanFortier shucks
He looks so much like fundy
use the wayback machine for broken links.
oh, smart
I didnt even realize that I am so early xD
