@@scottsterner4091every manufacturing on any kind of industries has some defect.. they are still humans they arent perfect.. even machines has some defects too in manufacturing … the point here is its a good thing for people having limited budget and couldnt afford the maximum price of the item.. if its just a little aesthetic issue its fine if youre going to have a bit of discount.. fair trade i think..

The fact that none of the people actually tried playing the guitar to test, lowkey blew my mind. Imagine testing a guitar for imperfections/issues, and not attempting to play it. I'd have probably tried quickly running through every single individual note from top to bottom fret with barre chord, to check for fret buzz and simliar issues

if i ended up getting this guitar i would be so unbelievably mad and the fact they called that “almost perfect” is kind of scary… i wouldn’t even sell that just from the side dots

I would still buy it, wouldn’t even ask for a discount. I think those marks don’t really matter it is the sound of the guitar that does. This logic applies not just to guitars.
When buying secondhand guitars, you gotta do the same. Do pay attention to things like a bridge glued on the finish, which is a stupid habit, it must be glued to the top. And neck joints better be perfect. Loose inforcing tonewood inside sounds bzzz bzzz and you need to glue it. Headstock damage is not bad, but when selling, it will cost you money. Scratches for a big discount is great! And when buying such a guitar, play some chords, if you like the sound, such minor things are totally acceptable. Simply clean the headstock, maybe polishing makes the spots shiny, when you are a nerd, sand the headstock and refinish it lightly. Bridge is same story. You can also igore it, it is just cosmetics, after all.
Ok 1) there is a chunk missing up and right of the 2) huge hole in the middle 3) they didn't finish painting it orange, the saddle is on an angle, the headstock is bent, shall I continue I should be in charge of quality control.
Meh, is there a hard & fast rule that side dots should be middle of the fret zone ? I get one might be OCD that the fretboard markers be aligned, but side dots, if all of them are oriented & located, that could even be intentional by design ? The 15th fret dot is equally aligned, can't see the rest of them. So the 12th & 15th at least match, I couldn't see the other dot markers.
I have an Orangewood Oliver. It’s my new favorite guitar and I play it every day but the first one I bought had multiple scuff marks not only around the sound hole but also on the fretboard 3rd fret under the high E. It came out of the box that way and was 100% put into the box that way as none of the marks could possibly have come from shipping. So to say there’s “no way” it would make it past QC definitely isn’t true 😂 love the replacement guitar I was sent though seriously it’s a wonderful guitar
Start a dealership or supply chain in gulf countries they lack in guitar mostly all of the instruments.....here they only have expensive guitars and other expensive instruments which is worth our fortune....and here mostly the population is expats from Phillipines,Nepal where music is a reliver after stress.... but you can never get a decent amount of guitar...its been more than 7 months and im still in search of Oliver Jr semi acoustic i hope god gimme some luck ... 😢
I can absolutely guarantee I would find all of these, but only because I've been fixing them on my own guitar build for months 😂 and now I keep nitpicking my store bought guitars too
When they said loon for the defect, I started straight at the headstock. Does anyone else go straight to the headstock or bridge when looking for defects?
I know marketing is often trained to look for visual blemishes and scuffs; however, I think they should be knowledge in instrument and look for flaws that truly affect the instruments performance. Such as bridge post being drilled uneven, warped necks, poor string alignment on neck-through designs, and improperly cut or sanded or shaped necks. Guitars with these kind of issues should never see the showroom floor, yet it happens all the time. I’ll buy a blemished guitar any day… if it’s just a blemish.

Our AP models have minor cosmetic flaws that don't affect the playability-- you wouldn't be able to tell the difference from playing it!
