Thank you for giving me hope I will be able to go shopping again. My physical therapist told me to watch this 4 times a day to retrain my eyes. It's rough at first, but I already notice a lot of improvement in my eye strength and lack of symptoms! Thank you

Thank you for sharing this video. Any chance you could provide a 3-5 minute version of just the right-moving stripes that takes up the full screen? I'm using for Mal de Debarquement therapy.
Are you finding success with this? I am using for the same thing but need just the bars going up. I hate that other people have MDDs but glad to know I'm not crazy anymore.
My physical therapist told me to look at a black line and follow it all the way across the screen or try my best anyway. Then when it leaves the screen to pick a new line and follow it. When the ball appears he said to just follow the ball and when the ball is there and the background is swirling all crazy he said just turn it off because it is not important right now for me to be able to do that one. So I do it for about 8 minutes once a day and I have other exercises that I do too using a dot on the wall and moving my head while looking at it. You have to start slow if your really having dizzy problems.
@@redrider1258 like vertigo. I am going through the therapy now. I have never been able to ride in the backseat of a car or read while moving, all indications of a vestibular problem. FYI: I AM NOT A THERAPIST.

I successfully did VRT about 8 years ago to cure persistent after symptoms of vestibular neuritis but despite living dizzy free I have always found reading in a line by line continuous fashion to severely tire me out and cause my vestibular system irritation (and even cause relapses if pushed too hard). I've just looked into these optokinetic eye exercises- does anyone know if these could help in my case? If so any suggestions on specific exercises or background patterns?
For the exercises where the red ball appears, is it the objective to follow the ball only when the lines go tipsy turvy? Does one follow the ball also when the lines are moving horizontally and vertically? My therapist said to progress to the exercises using the ball when I think I am ready. I believe I am getting closer to that point but want to be sure I am doing it correctly. Thanks ,
Optokinetic: At this point, this still gives me nausea each time I do it. Hoping to retrain my brain to deal with it. Hope it helps. Thanks Mr. rejali. M. Kauffmann, dealing with dizziness

I really appreciate it if anyone answers my question. what is the difference between visual tracking exercises and optokinetic stimulation exercises? Thanks a lot
I feel like someone is pushing me over. Could this help me? I have been told this is a result of Benzodiazepine withdrawal which I have been off for 2.6 years. I was also told it is a result of peri-meno and anxiety. I don't think anyone knows. I am looking for an alternative to help me. No more meds. They destroyed me.

Great video, my physical therapist just started me on this. My symptoms began the moment I got off the boat (2 months ago). My swaying, like a pendulum goes 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I did notice the symptoms subsiding for about a week and then it came back. I've been diagnosed provisionally with Mal De Embarquement but the physical therapist didn't see a strong indication of this. Labrynthitis is suspected by me but I don't know. My ENT doesn't know, my neurologist said my MRI came back good. Just had a Cervical Spine MRI that I will learn about those results next week. I was put on Prednisone and this actually made pressure around my eyes and sinuses feel more inflammed. Also through me into severe panic and depression.
Thats really cool your PT had insight on this and gave you some good direction. Go to a "Chiropractic Neurologist" and you'll be better in no time. if you can find one that is.
I feel for you. I have very similar symptoms, and have gone through a multitude of tests. All good. Doc's do not have an answer. I am currently doing Balance Therapy and this optokinetic visual training. I am a tiny bit better, but am feeling depressed about it, too. You are in my prayers.
I've got a horrible thing with my eyes vision goes bright white feel sick. If I leave my light on all night I get this. Sometimes I also wake up with it. It ruined my life. I left it on last night and I'm in tears.
It is supposed to help with a variety of conditions from concussion/head injury, neurological issues, co-ordination issues, balance, visual issues, to sight problems and etc. In my case, I had a dbl concussion/skull fracture in 2015 and another worse concussion/skull fracture in 2020- I fall backwards like a tree and no one knows why. Had all the tests...twice! I am to use this to stimulate my brain-visual acuity to see if it triggers anything or helps with my ongoing symptoms of dizziness and nausea. Retrain the brain. ( I am seeing a neurological physio therapist.) Obviously....not while standing on my cement floor. 😆
Stripes can move right or left or up or down Depending on which way you rock and sway. Also there is a speed at which stripes should move that is dependent on your own personal symptoms. You could induce a migraine or mess with your syndrome if you don’t use it correctly.
I am doing RTMS treatment since 3 months and it has helped me a lot. Hope people will look it up and try too. The youtube etc. has not worked for me at all! Just to let you know.
milkcow, what if i can’t really tell which direction i sway...? :/ i don’t even know if its swaying. I swear it feels like Im just floating.. But anyway! If lets say i sway up and down which should i follow?
I was recently diagnosed with BPPV, and my therapist recommended optikinetics training. This video was the first that came up. Thank you.

Could you put this training video in a virtual reality split screen?
Would this be good for vertigo? Re balance for the eyes?

So what is the problem here? Are there people who cannot do it? I don"t understand what we are trying to test here. Plz explain
