- Yet again, the bois in currents don’t miss! This may be my favorite of the singles released so far, it’s got pretty much everything I love in a Currents track. I’ve said it before, but this is definitely looking to be the best album they’ve put out yet. ALSO finally happy the album is fully announced, looking forward to it! Nah not anytime soon that I know of unfortunately, I’ve been so busy between my jobs and child that I haven’t even been keeping track 😅 might be seeing periphery in march though, that’s about the only thing I know of right now haha

I’ve been thinking about getting an 8 string for a while now. This band might be what pushed me to do it.
I think my dude here is playing it on 7 string from what I see? Since from what I’ve seen live from currents is that they play on 7s.
Hmm I actually didn’t look, I saw a tab the other day and could’ve sworn it said 8, but either way I’ve only played 6’s but I wanna mess around with more.
@@pedrosalgadomediaok yeah you’re right 😂 which is good I don’t have to break my habit of getting a new PRS every year and I can get their 7 string model that they just revamped.
Haha thanks man 😂 and yea, they only play 7 strings! Chris has mentioned in the past that he can’t play on 8 strings so I think that’s out of the question, HOWEVER it’s totally feasible to buy an 8 string and tune it to drop E which they typically use (although this song was drop F) and just tune the G string down a half step and ignore the high E string. Whether you decide to opt for a 7 or 8 string though, I strongly support your decision my man’s, you won’t regret it!

Love this cover, man! Is there a special trick to getting that sound on that tri-tone in the start of the first main riff on the highest 2 strings (looks like 13 fret on 1st string, 18th in 2nd string)? When I do it it does not sound the same at all!
Thanks dude! And no special trick, if memory serves me right I believe the frets you mentioned are correct, but on the last strum you slide down to the 17th on the second fret, hopefully that helps!

Can anyone pleeeaase tell me what guitar Currents use?? Or what 7 string is a good one?? I really want to play currents music and learn more, been lookin at an IbanezRG 7321 for a minute now....is that a good choice ???
A year later any updates? Also to add. I own a Legator G7FS which is a headless multiscale 7 string and it’s doing me wonders and unlocking a lot of stuff I didn’t think was achievable. There’s also the Legator g7 ninjas which have headstocks
