It's my dream to live with a view like that when I'm grown up. That's what I've been fighting for all this time. Preparing to go to college! Even though it's gonna be hard, I have to make it otherwise I'll never be able to have that view. I always imagine being at a penthouse party in a suit and chilling on the balcony at night with relaxing pop music from 2011 playing in the background while I watch the city lights together with a beautiful girl in a beautiful dress. And after a while we go to the garage, get into my warm, relaxing Audi A8. We drive on the streets filled with lights and again listen to relaxing pop music from 2011. And the night just never stops. I love this video, especially when the sounds off in the distance, and you hear the cars accelerate, honking, and sirens, its so relaxing, and its not too loud.
I halfway grew up in a loft apartment/art studio in downtown PHX as a kid. There’s nothing I miss more than sleeping by the windows that opened just like this and listening to the sound of life happening. And waking up in the morning, eating a breakfast of toast, cheese, and cereal on said window ledge, watching everyone start their day and go to work. I miss the sounds so so much. I feel like a kid again when I fall asleep to sounds like this. The non stop tire wooshing, honks, distant sirens, the sound of someone walking by coughing or talking to a friend. The city lights, the spot light for clubs, watching the city busses go by. I MISS IT. 💔
I just miss the peace of laying my head down at night, listening to all these sounds, and having it inspire countless day dreams of people living their little city life, wondering what’s going on out there. The sounds itself, and the thoughts they invoked were just so relaxing. It was almost romantic. Now I live in a small texas town, and haven’t heard these sounds in a long time. I hope one day, I can make it back to the city. I’ve lived a big and small life and i definitely miss my big life more.
Please, if you live in the city, tell me what your favorite city sound is. I love shared experiences and honestly hearing from people talk about living in the city makes me feel at home and reminisce. ❤️
I lived in the middle of nowhere for the first ten years of my life. After that, I lived in the suburbs, as most do. Still, for some odd reason, the sounds of the city make feel the most at home. Why is that?
Probably just the sound of not being alone. Even if you don't know anyone there are people all around you and near you. You aren't alone. It might feel like it, but you aren't. Living in the suburbs is nice personally, and is definitely more quite than in the city, but the feeling of not being alone Is think is closer in the city. I didn't grow up here so I don't know anyone. It's rare to even see my neighbors outside and to get a wave or nod from them. In the city you are always around people, sometimes see the same people on the street, on the way to work or to wherever you live. You get to know the store owners and store associates. Everything is pretty much in walking distance which is nice. I don't think I could ever see myself living in the city but it's nice to know that everything you need is pretty much a few minutes of walking away. I can see how people might prefer the city life more.
It makes you feel you're part of a larger society all working to survive, you see outside people drying their clothes, people taking care of their kids. It's a comfortable feeling. But really depends what city, some cities are horrible.
I call this city night sounds as “loud silence” and I love it so much! It’s very hard for me to fall asleep with closed windows. Thank you for your video! It’s just what I was looking for and even better! Found it while searching NY sounds and this happen to be LA! Rare, but damn great view of this city. Thank you!!!
I feel at home... I feel like a little baby again, first time exploring and discovering, because while watching this I couldn't stop staring and watching the cars and vehicles driving, for some reason it's so fascinating all over again? Idk lol. And the noise/sounds hits home as well 😔
Because I used to to live in main London but we moved to the West Midlands about 6yrs ago. When I was a little kid, at the top of the building I'd watch the live night city and just ponder about life and everything around me, I would say I was about 5,6,7yrs or something, but here in the West they don't have that... So I felt at home watching this ❤
What a beauty piece of life. I really enjoy looking every tiny person going his way, living his life. So many people and things to do and places to go...the life happening, that keeps me thinkfull. thanks.
You have no idea how much this makes me happy, I grew up in New York until I was forced to move here to Indiana. It’s really quite here most of the time and I got used to sleeping with sound of cars speeding by, honking, drunk people yelling and sirens going off. Thank you so much☺️
Watching a city like that with cars, city lights and lifes of other people, it feels like my problems are so little, tiny and worthless.. it's relaxing indeed
I love city for how it is always lively. Lively in the daytime, restless during the night. The city atmosphere always makes me feel calm because I never feel alone, and this video captures this idea perfectly. Bravo and thank you.
I always thought I was the only person who loved the sound of a bussling city, life, traffic. There truly is no more peaceful sound for me to goto sleep ti
This is by far the best city ambience video I know. The noises are distinctive, but not too alarming. I love that the horns and sirens are clearly far away or far below which prevents me from getting startled by them.
I’m from London and I love everythingggg about city life. I’m definitely a true city girl and would never change. I love the sounds of the city during night and day, I love the crowds of people everywhere and each and everyone of us is unique and special. I love the smells of the city even the bad ones 😂 I love the creativity and artwork that street artists have left behind, I love the smells of takeaway shops as your walking down the street and that you can feel so free and alive amongst all the people. Most importantly the city lights which make my heart dance just a little. I just love the city 💛🌃
i love watching the lights in the other buildings go on and off. reminds you how many people there are in this video, in cars, on the street, and in the buildings.

California will forever be my home Thank you
I grew up in London and even though I’m not older now and living in a sleepy town by the edge of the water, I still miss the sounds of the city and I find that I sleep better listening to these videos.
This sound reminds me of when I lived in a city, before my parents lost their jobs and could afford a city apartment. Now, I live in a cottage built my father, who works hot hours in the sun in a construction area in order for us to have food on our plates every night. Thank you, OpticStream360 for posting this! Cities are just my favourite. I lived in a pretty big city for the first 13 years of my life, now it’s pretty quiet where I live. But I always feel at home and peaceful in a big city at night
kind of funny to move forward the video and see the different windows light up on and off. I lived in the US for a while and instantly recognized the iconic American downtown look.
I'm yearning for a view like that. I get scared of the dark. I like big light cities and the hustle and bustle atmosphere. Makes me reassured that i'm alive. Especially the sound of cars and the cold breezes.

Now, you've moved to this big dream city. Now, you have your own dream apartment. You've finally started living the dream life you've always wanted as a child, and it's just the beginning...
When I close my eyes and listen to the sounds it brings me back to my trip in London, when I was lying in bed before sleeping. It makes me feel so relaxed. :)
Aw I’m so glad I’m not the only one who loves the sounds of a busy city!!! I love feeling like I’m not alone, I live in a quiet country side now and my plan was to move to the city this summer but this quarantine is in the way 😂 this makes me so excited to get back to the city.
This is the best city sounds I have found. Most others are clips only about 10seconds to 1min long on loop. The looping ruins it for me and for some reason wakes me up, however this one is not long that. I fall asleep quite early in but don’t wake up because of a repetitive noise. So it’s either a full clip, which is awesome! And I’d love more like this. Or they’ve done something different to make my brain believe this isn’t looped. Love it... about to use it again to try to sleep in the awkward silence away from home.
Man this is so relaxing to sleep to. Imagine you're in your hotel room, all tucked up in your bed with those sounds. Idk why but this is so soothing man.
Lived downtown....loved going to sleep with all the traffic, especially on Friday and Saturday nights. Even the loud motorcycles were refreshing. Sirens, homeless people shouting at each other. Loved all of it.
Every time I visit Los Angeles I try to get a hotel room at least 10+ stories up , open up the curtains wide & turn off all the lights, let the tv & city lights give a relaxing glow as I fall asleep
smoking some pot in a suburb neighborhood feeling like im right downtown. i love this and the forest creek sounds. takes your mind away from daydreaming to the past or future so you enjoy the present.
this is so beautiful. I want to see a view like this in real life someday, when my family are all asleep and I'm alone awake just looking through the window.
i just started studying for my mid-term exams coming in the next 3 days and found this. i cannot comprehend how just this view behind my notes app with the busy city sounds help me focus on my studies even better. makes me smile when i hear the drunk (are they?) people shouting lol.
I just sit outside in my house in the country and listen to the frogs, crickets, and night birds by my pond while watching the night sky. NOTHING beats that. Seeing the milky way on a clear night beats ANY view all the time.
I love big cities, not big, but GIGANTIC like a metropolis with 500 million people living in the city. I dont know why but im opsessed with big cities. I cant imagine how big will new cities be in 2060
This is the best video on UA-cam ever relaxing all real just what you would actually see outside a window and no ads through the video/film to disturbing the film. Great work. Thank you.
sonder n. the realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own-populated with their own ambitions, friends, routines, worries and inherited craziness-an epic story that continues invisibly around you like an anthill sprawling deep underground, with elaborate passageways to thousands of other lives that you’ll never know existed, in which you might appear only once, as an extra sipping coffee in the background, as a blur of traffic passing on the highway, as a lighted window at dusk
Me and my family moved when I was quite little to a calm quiet place, when previously we lived in a busy city and some what of a busy street...I still miss it. Idk why I love it so much but I do...just observing people going about their lives even when most people are asleep

Cities are just my favourite. I lived in a pretty big city for the first 13 years of my life, now it’s pretty quiet where I live. But I always feel at home and peaceful in a big city at night
kind of funny to move forward the video and see the different windows light up on and off. I lived in the US for a while and instantly recognized the iconic American downtown look.
living in a big city with a view like this would totally be my dream life✨
I'm yearning for a view like that. I get scared of the dark. I like big light cities and the hustle and bustle atmosphere. Makes me reassured that i'm alive. Especially the sound of cars and the cold breezes.
I used to live in downtown Honolulu and sleep like a baby but now I live in the middle of nowhere on the mainland and it’s so quiet thanks for this
Just wish things could go back to normal :(
Thanks a lot, China lol

Quarantine sucks
@@salmahassan864 The government created the virus. And they didn’t report on the virus which would have allowed other countries to gear up and prepare themselves.
I may not like cities all that much, but man do they always look beautiful at night. The problem with most videos like this is that he cities are too bright, this is the perfect lighting. Nice and dark
Now, you've moved to this big dream city. Now, you have your own dream apartment. You've finally started living the dream life you've always wanted as a child, and it's just the beginning...
I love going to cities and hearing these sounds
When I close my eyes and listen to the sounds it brings me back to my trip in London, when I was lying in bed before sleeping. It makes me feel so relaxed. :)
The sounds reminds me of when my family drive travel to places. 💜💙💚🌻
Aw I’m so glad I’m not the only one who loves the sounds of a busy city!!! I love feeling like I’m not alone, I live in a quiet country side now and my plan was to move to the city this summer but this quarantine is in the way 😂 this makes me so excited to get back to the city.
This kind of setting is just the best. I live (and always have) in a suburban neighborhood, so it’s pretty quiet. This helps me sleep
Study + 3am + coffee + some snacks = *CHILL VIBES*
Man this is so relaxing to sleep to. Imagine you're in your hotel room, all tucked up in your bed with those sounds.
Idk why but this is so soothing man.
Aware and your girlfriend is next to you yeah the dream bro
Lived downtown....loved going to sleep with all the traffic, especially on Friday and Saturday nights. Even the loud motorcycles were refreshing. Sirens, homeless people shouting at each other. Loved all of it.
I've been looking all over youtube for this. I'd kill for a downtown NY , keep up!
Kapstronaute me too!
Choose a democrat pls.
ExJw FlatEarther what does that have to do with ANYTHING??
surprisingly it's actually Los Angeles
This is Los Angeles not NY
Such a small yet big world, this is where we come together.
Every time I visit Los Angeles I try to get a hotel room at least 10+ stories up , open up the curtains wide & turn off all the lights, let the tv & city lights give a relaxing glow as I fall asleep
I would do anything to go back to that typa normal right now during this pandemic
Wish that was my apartment. Not for the sounds, for view. I live in a city and I hear those noises all the time. I just want hat view.
Hope a relaxing cafe scene might help?
I live in Hollywood but I work in downtown LA. This is exactly what it looks and sounds like at night. Perfect.
city of stars, are you shining just for me?
smoking some pot in a suburb neighborhood feeling like im right downtown. i love this and the forest creek sounds. takes your mind away from daydreaming to the past or future so you enjoy the present.
this is so beautiful. I want to see a view like this in real life someday, when my family are all asleep and I'm alone awake just looking through the window.
That’s why I want a place like that , having that view everyday I’ll be the calmest person
Omg it's the best video ever, I love Los Angeles, I love these sounds and I love the night with the light
home sweet home, literally. i live there
living in a city looks very peaceful
i just started studying for my mid-term exams coming in the next 3 days and found this. i cannot comprehend how just this view behind my notes app with the busy city sounds help me focus on my studies even better. makes me smile when i hear the drunk (are they?) people shouting lol.
Love this. Total life goals to have this view
this is where I want to live. the city. the city is everything to me
Very beautiful view. I felt so calm and relaxed watching the beautiful night view. Thank you so much for uploading this.
Insane I can find peace and calmness with the sounds of the city
I live in the middle of nowhere, in the desert I might add lol and I just know that I was meant for city life. This type of ambience just feels right
I just sit outside in my house in the country and listen to the frogs, crickets, and night birds by my pond while watching the night sky. NOTHING beats that. Seeing the milky way on a clear night beats ANY view all the time.
I love big cities, not big, but GIGANTIC like a metropolis with 500 million people living in the city. I dont know why but im opsessed with big cities. I cant imagine how big will new cities be in 2060
i’ve never lived in a big city yet this feels so nostalgic to me.
This is the best video on UA-cam ever relaxing all real just what you would actually see outside a window and no ads through the video/film to disturbing the film. Great work. Thank you.
I miss this so much i moved to a small town recently not used to it
sonder
n. the realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own-populated with their own ambitions, friends, routines, worries and inherited craziness-an epic story that continues invisibly around you like an anthill sprawling deep underground, with elaborate passageways to thousands of other lives that you’ll never know existed, in which you might appear only once, as an extra sipping coffee in the background, as a blur of traffic passing on the highway, as a lighted window at dusk
It's 11:44 pm raining heavily outside .. lying on my bed.. enjoying voice of rain ..that rainy soil smell.. n watching this video.. love it❤️❤️
This makes my heart ache for Vancouver BC :( I miss the city!!!
Me and my family moved when I was quite little to a calm quiet place, when previously we lived in a busy city and some what of a busy street...I still miss it. Idk why I love it so much but I do...just observing people going about their lives even when most people are asleep
