It's relevant because it's just another secular love song that doesn't mention anything about the Lord or the name of Jesus..Once that happens though, popularity will go WAYY down....This song can be a love song to just about anybody there's absolutely ZERO anointing.. "Christian" artist or not...Just because it is labeled as Christian doesn't mean that it is.. This is a perfect example as to why us believers need to read the word and use discernment from the Holy Spirit on what is Godly and what is not..It is a catchy song don't get me wrong but with all of the funky sound, production work, worldly dancing etc. people tend to focus on that rather than then giving glory to God... The title of this song sums it up. The first time I heard this song on the radio, I was driving in my car, and I almost pulled off the road. Tauren always sounds a little like MJ, but this time I thought, "he finally locked it in." The tune became an instant favorite.

I've heard a few of Tauren's songs that has really encouraging messages in them. A question to consider though, ... If we move, act, and look like the world.. either in our character, conversations, actions, music styles, or life styles with the idea to get a message for Christ across, how will they really be able to tell us as believers in Christ, apart from the rest.? The worldly presentation will drown out the message and connection to Christ. The focus is to not conform as Romans 12:2 tells us, but to stand apart, be a light and draw others to Christ. I'm not condemning Tauren or his heart for God. But it is very important to not mislead people to believe that as the world does in the entertainment industry, so should the people of God. Pray on it and think about it. This isn't a "hater" message...It is a shining light message with love.

It is the actions and intentions (heart) that make the difference. Jesus looked like any other citizen in His time, and He and those around Him worked within the world around them. The people could not tell them apart because of the way they looked, it was by the works and fruit of His spirit.
While this may be "edgy" in a traditional since, it's not meant to be conformed (which implies some kind of limitation or suppression based on the environment), but rather transformative, bringing his unique style and those that have influenced him together and creating a new sounds and visuals, that point to the greatness of the love and faith he receives and has for God.
That's my opinion on it anyway...

It is so ridiculously great! I was a dancer/ former professional and now Christ follower and teaching dance... loving Jesus and playing some bass guitar at our church.
