As the grandson of Italian immigrants, I can confirm that my parents and even I have my own "Rabbit" stories. My grandfather used to come home with pet chickens for me as a kid, and at the end of the week they'd just "run away." But we'd have chicken next time we visited. My mom grew up with rabbits, chickens, and even a goat in the basement, and my great-grandfather would come over with a big knife on Friday and kill, prep and cook them. You can take the peasant off the farm, but you can't take the farm out of the peasant I guess.
As a bunny mom David’s rabbit story makes me sad. But it was nice to know Jen’s rabbit lived a long life. They can be extremely fragile creatures. But occasionally you can find a hardy one. They make great pets if you have patience. It helps if they are neutered as it prevents aggression.

I always assumed they give it to the students first instead of mailing or emailing directly to parents to teach children accountability and responsibility like yeah you have to show this to your boss and get it signed and bring it back even if it tells your boss (parents) you didn’t do your job right. And maybe you’ll do better next time
David I have a bunny story like that! My brother and mom had 2 pet rabbits and they came home one day and my gpa had made stew. They ate dinner and went on with their night. They couldn’t find their bunnies. They had eaten their bunnies 😬😳
