The dallas theme is one of the most infectious pieces of music I have ever heard. I heard it when I was a kid while it aired and to this day it still fucks my brain, but I never get bored of it and now here we have Dallas and Star Wars! My life is complete.
A great show, I remember when everyone was glued to their TV Sets to find out "Who Shot First" also another great moment in this shows history was when Pam woke up and heard someone in the shower, she went into the Bathroom to find Sebastian Shaw taking a shower and that the STAR WARS Prequels were all a dream.
I watched Dallas regularly in the 1980's, and later. It was the only soap opera I did watch. I would give it the nickname of ‘Dull us’. Watching so much of it, it would dull us. It’s also the doings and screwings of the Ewings.
VERY cool! My mom used to love Dallas, so I can remember the opening very well, and you've nailed it. Just hearing the theme music brought back some memories. I especially liked the way the Death Star laser turrets fire in time with the beat. Well done.
No cabe duda que los Intros de los programas de los años 80 eran todo un arte, de tal manera que, estas aportaciones nos crean un rato de buen humor y nostalgia. ¡Buen Trabajo!
Come to think of it, Barbara Bell Geddes would have been perfect as Aunt Beru. Oh and that Chewbacca clip with his hands behind his back was perfect for the center panel.
hahahaha! I really enjoyed the vid. I grew up watching both the original Star Wars movies and the old Dallas shows even though I was born in the 90's. My grandmother and my father really had me exposed to that stuff. Love the parody, great job.
I was 7 to 13 years old when the original Star Wars movies were released. We lived in Germany in 1980s. TV programs were delayed so we didnt want any stateside folks to spoil who shot J.R. This is the perfect combo. You should make one of these set to the CHiPs intro music!
Now: This is what "You Tube" was really intended for! To unleash your Full Potential in the imaginary and video editing and not for just recording and up-loading existent footages, but to create yourself's! Kudos, original poster! Thank you for sharing this "Dallas meets Star Wars" in glorius 16:9 ratio and high quality picture!! Cesar
Nicely done. I particularly liked how Harrison Ford comes up right at almost the same time Larry Hagman would come up on the Dallas intro. That seemed fitting.
First - unbelievable. I've had training on an AVID and have some pretty good editing experience, but you rock. It's not just the technical skill, either... you've picked the best clips to make it look like a genuine tv show open. Having said that - if you ever revisit it again, during the segment when the actors are shown, the left and ride side panels should freeze after a few moments of action, if you're going after Dallas, that is. But very VERY good. 5 stars.
@Marmooset , David Prowse was in the Suit and James Earl Jones did the voice of Vader. The first time I had seen Star Wars when it came out I thought James Earl Jones was actually wearing the Vader Suit. but later learned he only did the voice.
to whomever made this: You just combined my favorite movie and TV series of all time, my life is more fullfilled seeing this its AWESOIME thank you, thank you, thank you. can you send me back to 1980 as well?
Clever! I really love how the laser turrets on the Death Star start blasting in time with the disco beat! Thanks for this! Great job!

Same.
This is exceptionally well done.

The blasters keep in tune to the beat!

lol! Han shot first!
J.R. shot first!
HAHA!!! Love your comment, who shot first?
@@scottyclayton5604 So this is the answer to the question " Who shot Jr ?" . So Han shot Jr...
@JARED BARATTA Han always out drew his opponents.
If you cherish the 80's, this video you put a smile in your face :-)
Big ass smile on my face! 😁
As a die-hard fan of both….this is HILARIOUS!!!!
This is such a good mixture of my childhood! I love it.
The episode "Who shot Greedo" was a big ratings hit.
If Greedo shot first, then tell Han Solo when he wakes up from his carbonite coffin that it was all a dream!
It was his sister in law...
This is great!! I grew up watching Star Wars and Dallas. Thank you for posting and sharing this gem!!!
well done!

A good family friend of mind used to call the show "Dull-ass". :D
VERY cool!

I would love to see this with Falcon Crest and Dynasty!
I don't see how, but Dallas totally fits with the action ;o.
Never would've thought to mix the two but this was very well made.
This was one of the first videos I've ever watched on UA-cam. It's so good to come back.
No cabe duda que los Intros de los programas de los años 80 eran todo un arte, de tal manera que, estas aportaciones nos crean un rato de buen humor y nostalgia. ¡Buen Trabajo!
I used to watch these videos back in the day, I am happy they are still here with us :)
I've watched this multiple times, and I never get tired of it. :)
LOVE THIS...Make more! Empty Nest, Family Matters, Family Ties, MASH, Little House on the Prairie, Perfect Strangers...the possibilities are endless!!
Now we need Dallas with a Star Wars opening. 😂
Two classics merged into one. Excellent video.
That moment at 0:09 where the gun is firing in time with the music...AWESOME!
Very well done, I dig these vids of mixing one show/movie with another's music.
I remember playing this theme in high school marching band aka 1984-5. It was awesome!
Come to think of it, Barbara Bell Geddes would have been perfect as Aunt Beru. Oh and that Chewbacca clip with his hands behind his back was perfect for the center panel.
I laughed through the whole thing. This is genius. Dallas used to be my mom's favorite show so this brought back memories.
Even the turret firing goes well with the music, great work! :)
This must be one of the most epic videos I've ever seen :o
What an amazing, amazing, AMAZING job you've done there!
It's amazing how well that music fits with any tv program
A little free time with some imagination and this masterpiece just born. :D
This is the BEST re-creation of the Dallas opening I have ever seen. Very well done!
The music is a great fit. Good choice of character shots too. Very well done.
The Dallas style intro is strangely appropriate. Well done!
This is the best thing I've ever seen in my whole life. Five million stars.
The drum beat matching the cannon firing was epic
Amazing work. I am in awe at how much comic talent is out there in the anonymous public.
Super! Two great classics mixed together...
Brilliant!!! Kinda feel like an intro to those classic Sci-Fi shows, like Buck Rodgers!
This is awesome! I can't believe I haven't seen it in 12 years. No wait.
Words cannot describe how AWESOME this is!!!
Wow I am speechless for me as a Star Wars and Dallas fan I say excellent job welldone it is awesome!

Superior. One of the best I have ever seen.
There seem to be a million of these "Dallas" opening credits videos now, but I still like this one the best; very nice attention to detail.

Thank you for making this and doing such a great job. Made my day!!!
Really amazingly cool! Just wonderfully cheesy. Well-crafted. A keeper.

saw all your mash up. this is my favourite one
Excellent Split screen effect man!
Superb!
Should've had C3PO flying around in his magic Ewok chair for the Anthony Daniels introduction segment.
Shut the fuck up
@Marmooset , David Prowse was in the Suit and James Earl Jones did the voice of Vader. The first time I had seen Star Wars when it came out I thought James Earl Jones was actually wearing the Vader Suit. but later learned he only did the voice.
Oh man... I remember this! It was torture having to wait all summer long to find out who shot first.

The Harrison Ford one is my favorite. Outstanding

Absolutely outstanding!
Another brilliant mashup!
@yellowrocket He's using the style of the Season 1 and 2 Intros. That freeze frame thing didn't start happening until Season 3.
Way better than the new trailer.
Pure Genius! Very creative!
I'll admit, I've always loved that theme tune anyway, but over Star Wars? JOYOUS! :D
This is fantastic! Very creative I love it!
Nice job! Pretty darn clever and well made.
Sorry that I am so late to the party but this was brilliant. Thank you.
This is a show! I'll watch it every single day of my life.
Wow!! That was great! Fantastic!
Superb. The chocie of clips for "starring" is spot on e.g. Chewie leaning back.
I particularly like how the guns were firing in time with the disco beat at the beginning.
Nicely done, and posted back 2009 and never seen it
Awesome idea-excellent work!!
This was fantastic!
Very good job man! If you have any others on here I will have to watch them.
