If you haven’t seen the first video in this series, it is up now at ua-cam.com/video/I6lrG7X7Fs0/v-deo.html 🧩 I’m hard at work on the Finals video so that’ll be coming next!
I hope Ravensburger realizes what a great investment they've made in you, not just as a competitor but for the incredible way you represent these events. I've watched all of them before but this year's was truly such a higher caliber, the combo of interview/stream audio, your incredible camera operator, the focus not only on the "best" but so many little moments that happen somewhere like this, truly incredible!!!
I'm sure they do! They have sponsored her at Worlds and Nationals competitions. She created 3 Ravensburger puzzles for them. Karen and others were also invited to Ravensburger's headquarters in Germany.
I mean, I literally bought three Ravensburger puzzles as someone who has not really puzzled since their early teens. The puzzle hype that her videos of World's gave me internally pushed me to try it out again as a hobby.
I bought a 500 piece puzzle after watching your last video, and it took me 30 minutes to get the edge done. How people solve these so quickly is amazing!
I think Gosia's completion meant the most to me out of all these amazing puzzlers. She didn't take finishing last as a demerit but rather an opportunity to show her family and friends that she did make it, on the world's biggest stage of puzzling
I can't believe I just watched a feature length UA-cam video about Jigsaw Puzzle Championships and it was more exciting and entertaining than many movies.
I agree. Just about to watch the semi finals. I love puzzles when I was a child. I’m now a granny and Karen has reignited my puzzling love. Thanks Karen.
Hey Karen, I just wanted to thank you for those always high quality coverage of the speed puzzling events. I get excited every time a big competition is around and I don’t even do any speed puzzling. Your videos are so full of suspense and interresting things, with great editing, and yet they’re so wholesome. You contribute to those friendly competitive healthy championships.
Seeing everyone cheer for Gosia legit made me tear up, I feel like speed puzzling is one of the few competitions where people are so wonderful and supportive of everyone no matter the skill level, and hey she may have been last, but she brought home a record breaking round where EVERYONE finished, and that's absolutely an achievement to be proud of! Besides, she still absolutely earned her place there and imo as a total puzzle amateur finishing a whole puzzle in just under an hour and a half is still CRAZY impressive, I hope we see her come back next year :D
Okay seeing someone using sign language actually made me cry, as a disabled person it's so fantastic to see people like me represented here! (Edit: And there's a competitor in a wheelchair!!! This is so awesome!!!!)
I have no idea why both videos were recommended to me and didn't even know speed puzzling was thing but I've enjoyed both videos immensely and look forward to more.
Make sure you go back and watch the last two years on this channel and then also the live streams themselves on the World Jigsaw Puzzle Association channel. They are all gripping. I went in person this year after watching those two years on UA-cam.
I'm here every year. I have no interest in Puzzling, but these videos are just wholesome, good storytelling and just give a wonderful little insight into something novel.
What a true professional Karen is. Her ability to produce these fascinating videos is beyond bounds. I am pretty sure Ravensberger is well aware what a wonderful asset they have found in Karen. Please never let her go. P.s I have bought all 3 of Karen's puzzles. I await, in anticipation for her next one!
I watched Gosia's finish live on the stream and it was just so heartwarming to see. So many people out there think they would be embarrassed to be last, but she just celebrated being part of it to begin with. I love the positivity throughout the speed puzzling community.
That ending, "If you thought these rounds were intense, just wait till the finals." Like I was JUST about to comment how intense it was, and it gets MORE intense?! LOL. But huge congratulations to all the winners and participants! What a wild ride this year has been so far, I can't wait to see how it ends :O
I really like seeing Mercédesz puzzle because she works so steadily and quietly. And she's still quiet when she places high, but you can tell how happy she is🥰 And that finish by Some Assembly Required was so intense to see live! Eagerly awaiting the final recap!
I've never done a puzzle in my life and I'm not even interested in puzzles, yet I have now watched about 3 hours of people doing puzzles.. and watched without skipping anything. What a wonderful, wholesome community this is and so supportive of each other right to the end. Wonderful!
Gosia…tears. Mercedesz…more tears. The Aussie team…jumping for joy with them. Poor Wiktor! So much stress! And then the photo finish! Such a wonderful, exciting video!
I love how you dont stop it at just the winners. You highlight the other competitors as well. EVEN OUTSIDE THE COMPETITION. All celebrations are a highlight
This puzzling community is just the absolute best! The Malaysian puzzler hugging the volunteer at 35:00 was just the best and shows the true spirit of jigsaw puzzling. The joy of finishing, the mutual support. Just wonderful! Thank you, Karen, for yet another great video and for all your hard work!
I loved to puzzle all my life but was always pretty alone with it. Noone I knew really cared. Then I found your videos and realized there was a whole community who loved puzzling! I had so much fun watching your videos and finally finding someone who enjoyed it like I do. Thank you so much for that! I had to try and find out how fast I could go. First try I was over 90 Minutes, but after some practice I almost cracked the 1 hour mark. Still working on it!
Hi @KarenPuzzles, there is a mixup in photos on teams event charts, my group Puzzle Queens United also did The Castle and we finished and did 900 pieces of the Queens Garden and qualified. And btw, thank you for including my epic finish in semifinals.
Omg Gosia!!!!!!!! Can’t believe you’re here!!!!!!!! Congrats on your epic finish!!!! All the cheering was so heartwarming! And on classifying for teams finals!
Didnt know this existed, but "Arrangers assemble!" would be a fun team name. Watched both videos in succession, it was super intertaining and extremely well produced/edited
34:40 I wanted to add congratulations to those who didn’t finish as well! Going out there and participating takes courage and they should be praised for trying their very best.
I got recc'd the first video in this series randomly and watched it all just absolutely enthralled by everything. i love finding out that theres competitive versions of things i never even thought would be competitive. but my god. watching these puzzlers at work is so amazing.
It's amazing how tighter the competition has gotten this year! This is really starting to turn into a serious sport instead of "just" some fun hobbyist competition.
35:25 I'd been encouraging these two that they could finish in an hour. (They didn't know each other before competing. She was from Bermuda and living in Denmark; I don't know where he was from but maybe France or Quebec; they were representing Barbados, where her dad was from.) Then they paused with the last piece to ceremonially put it in together and that took them into the last ten seconds, when they suddenly realized they had a missing piece. Had they declared it it would therefore have taken them over an hour. They managed to find it in the nick of time and their time was 59-59. (I don't even know whether that was their official time, but it was definitely their real time as I was watching the clock for them.)
I couldn't wait, I watched the livestream already... And it's gonna be such blast watching again here! Best final ever! Can't wait for the final video. And congrats Karen!
I don’t know if you’ve already mentioned it - I’ve been casually watching these videos - but I love that your pairs shirt is a reference to Olsen and Olsen Mystery Agency haha
You have knocked it out of the park with this year's reporting on the World Championships. I am so enjoying hearing all the stories and riding the adrenaline waves. I know you spent an insane amount of time editing these and I want you to know: it shows! Can't wait for the finals video!!!
29:30 - the view in this picture is from the town of "Rothenburg ob der Tauber" and, Karen, if you ever come visiting Germany, please promise me to visit this town before you go see something like castle Neuschwanstein. Nowadays it might become quite overcrowded for such a comparably small destination (there seem to be tours of Germany including big cities like "Munich, Berlin, Hamburg" but then also "Rothenburg"), but it can just offer so much authenticity as a smaller German town with a beautiful, well preserved historic, medieval town center. If someone wants to visit only a single place in Germany, I can highly recommend this town.
I just found these videos recently, but theyre so high quality. I also have a bit of a competitive spirit, so you're kinda selling me on the speed puzzling bit. Thanks for the inspiration Karen!
The way I was on the edge of my seat for that semi finals teams match! Y’all rocked it 🥳 I can’t wait for next video but also a little sad for it to end, thank you Karen this was so enjoyable and definitely the best part of my last 2 weekends, the editing and commentary is top notch! ❤️
@@KarenPuzzlesAgreed. When I started to practice my puzzling last year (thank you Karen for your videos, they were what motivated me to try) my times were around that mark. Now I can proudly finish many 500 pieces puzzles in under 85 minutes.
I watched all the live streams completely this year, but Karen’s videos are so entertaining and well done that I watched them too! I’m from Wisconsin, so I’m rooting for the Betchas.
Love your vids and I rarely do puzzles because of my eyesight. So great to see so much great sportsmanship. I hope Ravensburger continues to support you. Take care. Looking forward to the next one.
I just bought my first new Ravensburger puzzle after one year of discovering this wonderful chanel, so I hope they keep sponsoring Karen because she has done a lot for the puzzle community. I don't think I will ever compete (I'm too slow haha) but watching these videos motivate me to improve my skills. So excited for my puzzle to arrive!
16:28 Mercedez's look to see she beat alejandro and then crying because she beat him is my second favorite moment of worlds second only to a different look we get from someone else. can't wait to see the next part
I am so thankfull for this videos! Im not even a big puzzler myself, but I love your videos in generel and particularly the vidoe series of the world champs!
I was thinking, wow this is a long video. I will watch the first half hour now, and then watch the rest some other time. But then I somehow couldn't stop and watched it in one sitting anyways 🙈 Really great video! And congrats Karen on getting first in your teams event! So exciting!
Thank you so much for these videos! The time and effort you must spend is incredible; the graphics, the commentary, the editing. It must take so much work and I really appreciate how much care you put into them❤️
1:03:42 What just happened indeed! 😮 That's incredible ❤ Guess the second team are changing their name 😂😂😂 I think the rules for puzzle start and switching to the mext must be made even more precise to be able to make a distinction on the level of seconds.
Wow, thank you so much for that video! I've been waiting for it the entire week! I watched it tonight like I would have watched a movie, with some chocolate. These videos really make me want ot get into speed puzzling !
I love how positive and encouraging this community it and it's also fun to realize how many people I recognize after these years. It really does feel like a sport at this point, but one where I'm finding myself rooting for everyone haha. It's cool to see it getting bigger too - I go to PAX unplugged every year and noticed there's a few speed puzzling events going on this year for (I think) the first time (they had a puzzle room last year but this is the first time I've noticed actual events). I'm definitely not up for it, but might see if I can poke my head in about a half hour in and see how things are going

I mean, I literally bought three Ravensburger puzzles as someone who has not really puzzled since their early teens. The puzzle hype that her videos of World's gave me internally pushed me to try it out again as a hobby.
going by all the "Karen brought me here" ...... "I love that puzzle, I am going to get it" comments during the live stream, it was a smart investment.
I bought a 500 piece puzzle after watching your last video, and it took me 30 minutes to get the edge done. How people solve these so quickly is amazing!
Lots and lots of practice
My first 30-minutes is only for sorting 😂
Start with 50 or 100 piece puzzles.
Practice! A lot of these people have been doing puzzles since they were little. It trained them to learn how to see small details quickly.
😂😂😂 I did the same took me 3 hours, I'm no where close being a speedy puzzler yet
I think Gosia's completion meant the most to me out of all these amazing puzzlers. She didn't take finishing last as a demerit but rather an opportunity to show her family and friends that she did make it, on the world's biggest stage of puzzling
I'm so happy they interviewed her so we could hear it from her perspective!
Let's face it, even just finishing in the time is a real achievement.
I can't believe I just watched a feature length UA-cam video about Jigsaw Puzzle Championships and it was more exciting and entertaining than many movies.
Art!! Honestly is a docuseries! Thanks Karen!

Seeing Gosia (and everyone else that finished close to the line) was so heartwarming! I love the love that's in this community
I love that they brought her onto the livestream to interview her too! She had such an amazing perspective on it!

I’m not someone who can finish a one hour film in one sitting but these videos/recap is an exception😂 every part is just so interesting to watch
Getting choked up at the montage of finishers again. The woman with the "Rooting for Everyone" shirt? Oh my heart.
I really love that you don't just focus on the top winners, but do your best to showcase everyone.
The fact that Team "Looking for the One Piece" literally needed to do that to finish their puzzle is so perfect! Amazing moment!
Whenever I see Mercedesz cry, I cry too. I did in the Dome and I have again rewatching it now.

I did a 500 piece puzzle yesterday with my boyfriend and it took us almost 2 hours. It gave me perspective on how impressive this competition is
omg I cried when Gosia mentioned that her mom i cried! That was such a beautiful moment! GO GOSIA!
I don’t know if you’ve already mentioned it - I’ve been casually watching these videos - but I love that your pairs shirt is a reference to Olsen and Olsen Mystery Agency haha
I'm so happy someone out there gets the reference!! 👯♂️
great work from your camera person and I am so happy that everyone in the room finished!
I'm so happy that my country finally has a wonderful representation!
Polish Mountain!!! 🇵🇱
"It's fine, we like puzzles" is the type of quote that deserves a t-shirt.

These recap videos are such a joy to watch! Fantastic job in putting this all together
Thank you so much ❤️
This event gets better every year. I'm so happy to see you win the team's round.
This is the best coverage of this event - thanks Karen!
So excited that I get to watch this today! I have been looking forward to your worlds videos!!
Omg I’ve been waiting for this to come out, I’ve been so curious since the quarterfinals video, I love your videos 🫶✨
Perfect for a Sunday evening ❤ It's so cool to see all the joy!

It was crazy!!

The great part is that all you need is a puzzle to try it at home and find out if it's an activity you like!
Such amazing work Karen! Both in the puzzling and the editing of these behemoth videos! Just finished this instalment and can't wait for the next 😊😊
Thank you!
belated congratulations on your team winning the semifinals round! and you did an amazing job at all of those semifinals!
Wow. What a lot of work to put these videos together. Amazing job and so exciting. I think you and Tiffany are a great pair ❤
I am going to finish my puzzle of M&M candies; 1,000 pieces, and this pops up in my feed. What a great way to start the day.

Just got to love sundays when you post. Thank you Karen, may you have a wonderful week🤗
Thanks for including that lovely moment with Gosia, who absolutely rocked it 😆
I’ve been inspired to try speed puzzling by you. I did my first 500 piece in 2 hours exactly. I can live with that.
That's a great first time!
@ thanks I’ve done a lot of 1000 piece but your vids are fun to watch. I want to get a ravensburger puzzle to try.

These first two individual semifinals have left me EMOTIONAL. Only twenty minutes in 😭😭😭😭😭😭

11:22 gosia is such a vibe lmao😭❤️
I watched a lot of this live, but I'm on the edge of my seat again watching this video. Great job Karen!
so happy to see Syberian team this year! I allways was wondering if we have speedpuzzlers there. It happens that we do! And pretty strong ones!
This was an amazing video! Thank you so much for your hard editing work.

They better make speed puzzling into an Olympic sport.
They were talking about that on one of the livestreams!

I had a lot of trouble with that one too!
Absolutely l o v e your recaps! Can't wait for the final one! 🤩🥳

excellent data illustration! The clarity is on point!
I think I just jumped into the Mercedes fan club! An incredible finish and such a sweet, humble attitude about beating Alejandro.
Congrats to Mercedesz! What an extraordinary effort!! And such an interesting puzzling method too.
Your truly amazing I appreciate you so much for all you do and all the minds and eyes you have opened to puzzling
A bright spot for my Sunday morning , thank you Karen!
