@@ReaperZeax There's probably some archived version of the original video on the dark web or whatever, but you can also just find frames of it on places like Pinterest
Fact: when the Saturnz barz video first came out, murdoc’s dingaling was uncensored and it blew up the internet so they covered him up. You can still see the original video by reuploads or from their live shows
Fun fact: 19-2000 was written about the feeling we all had when the clock went from 1999 to 2000, so the world spinning too fast and trends coming and going is exactly what he meant. But it was also a feeling of fear (Y2K) and trepidation, which is why I think the "dry funk" you're talking about was actually perfect for the song.
The jamaican guy in the song was actually an appereance feature by Popcaan. The members/member is only Damon Albarn for the vocals and all the instruments essentially. All the rap vocals and other voices are features.
Yup😂 As a gorillaz fan, I enjoyed that moment so much that at 4 am I watched this video instead of going to sleep: ua-cam.com/video/qlQcHet2FZw/v-deo.html (It's basically the song Feel Good Inc. but with Murdoc randomly saying DAH BAFF😂)
*R.I.P. for the pickle man* I missed these reactions *so freakin much* 😂😂 Dude, 10:46 _had me dying!_ 'At least he's got his ballz back-' Random asteroid: Wait. That's illegal! If you haven't reacted to 'Tranz' yet, I really reccomend it! 😁 And if you want to see Noodle being a badass, I reccomend 'On melancholy hill' (it's going to be _really weird_ -as always) And 'The Lost Chord' is a must, but kinda depressing 😂 I imagine it's a lot harder for you to understand what's going on in most of the videos because you have almost 0 context. But I think that's what makes these reactions so good: the confusion on your face is priceless and I love it😂
I really enjoyed your reaction the other songs that played in the Saturnz barz video where Ascension, Andromeda and we got the power which are others songs in the Humanz album
Next time you take a plane trip, I highly recommend playing this sound as the plane takes off. The engines plus the bass, the sheer intensity of the liftoff contrasting Damon's voice... Accidentally did it once, but now I'm addicted.
When you remember that just after they released their third album Gorillas became the biggest band in the World for a year. I mean, up to that point they averaged a record every ten years then got to the top, hehe, Britpop, hehe.
I’m glad I requested Saturnz Barz! Check out the music video for Tranz by Gorillaz as well please! Spoiler but Murdoc gets arrested so the Bassist in the video is Ace from the Powerpuff Girls who temporarily replaces Murdoc until Murdoc is released and comes back to the band. 🙂
I heard a theory that each monster represents mental disorders/fears Noodle: Claustrophobia (from being shipped in a FedEx crate twice), PTSD (the El Mañana incident), and anxiety. That’s probably why her monster wouldn’t give her any personal space nor privacy. Russel: has insomnia, sleep paralysis, and the fear of being possessed again, that’s why his monster holds him still in the bed. Murdoc: the fear of genuinely being happy without relying on vices like drugs, alcohol, and kinky sex, due to being abused by his father growing up. This is why he looks like he’s having the time of his life, but in reality he was terrified. 2D: from the way the video portrayed it, he most likely has bulimia nervosa. This can be supported since he has anxiety, was constantly abused by Murdoc, and had a lot of traumatic events in his life. He originally turned to abusing his painkillers to deal with his pain, but those painkillers also killed his appetite… so his weight also gave him a new source of control when he felt like there was almost no control and probably started off as an anorexic in the earlier phases. Eventually he was taken off the painkillers, and the withdrawals can included increased anxiety, and appetite coming back in a vengeance. However by that time he was taken off painkillers, he was already known as the Pretty Boy Frontman singer for the gorillaz, and with his increased appetite, he still had to maintain his “pretty boy” image, which probably led to him developing purging behaviors. Ik it’s a cartoon, but it sorta makes sense in the later phases, 2D is always eating something, he’s also the only one in the group that’s clinically underweight (with the only exceptions being phase 1 when the band started. Also he looked healthy in Phase 5 when Murdoc got locked up), yet he’s in his 40s (noodle is the only one that ages in the group but still), it would be predictable if his character gained weight from all that food, but he never seems too. Also it could explain why his teeth always seem to get worse and worse with each phase. While sure, he lost the first few when Murdoc crashed his car, 2D went flying out the window and essentially gave 2D an 8 ball injury (which doesn’t make you blind btw), so he might have lost a few teeth from there. However his teeth keep getting worse throughout each phase. Also 2D is based off the creator Damon Alburn, and Alburn has opened up about having an eating disorder when he was younger as well, so it’s possible that 2D is or was secretly struggling himself as a character. That’s why he was attacked by food. + if you pay attention to the lyrics, the song is literally about giving into vices, and going broke from a gambling addiction as well. Which supports the theory that this video could be about each bands members Vice/fears/mental issues they struggle with. Also great reaction btw 💜
It's important to remember it's been like literally 20 or 21 years since the release of the original album that the album featuring the song "Saturnz Barz" came out. It's kind of crazy for someone like me who literally grew up listening to this band to realize Noodle is now 32, Murdoc is 57, with 2-D and Russel being in their mid-late 40's. Also the song at the end was basically a preview of the next music video release of that album, which i think was oddly enough filmed in GTA V.
I hadn't seen your first Gorillaz reaction vid, but I know, just from how you mentioned that Murdoc lost his manhood, that you're referencing Clint Eastwood.
Nah you gotta listen to the 19-2000 soundchild remix that is also on their record. Also Murdoc did not lose his balls, don't worry. They just got yanked.
To be fair, Russell already been possessed a bunch of times. He's got no fear of the supernatural anymore.
😳🤔🙄😏 #Facts
something about seeing other people react to things i love for the first time just makes me so happy
i know right! especially if its something that you enjoy and the person reacting to it ends up enjoying it too!!
Fun fact: the times where you hear a song different from the main one has it's own visualizer: Ascension, Andromeda and We have the power
Russ gets a pass. He spent years possessed by ghosts then had the grim reaper rip them out of him. The fuck's he got to be scared of at this point.
Never forget:
*The original Saturnz Barz was uncensored*
And,
GET THE COOL
GET THE COOL SHOESHINE
GET THE COOL
GET THE COOL SHOESHINE
Where can I watch the original version… for… research purposes… yeah…

OOOOHHH i was wondering why the song had that title! That's so cool! Thanks for the info!

Murdoc is decomposing, he sold his soul to the devil so he could make his band famous, making him a "zombie"
When you remember that just after they released their third album Gorillas became the biggest band in the World for a year. I mean, up to that point they averaged a record every ten years then got to the top, hehe, Britpop, hehe.
I remember I had that first song as my ring tone for my Nokia flip phone as a kid lol
i never noticed the puppet, so you did something for me at least

Yo, great reaction man. I watch all your videos
Hey, the song you were listening at the start of the second song is Ascension, by Gorillaz too
Russell's shirt was supposed to say "It's not real" though to make a joke it was spelt "It's not rael" instead

On their website you can actually drive that car on that highway while the song plays.
When I saw the name Saturn Barz I knew.
Please make more Gorillaz reactions! They're so good.
