It’s crazy how we drive past many failing businesses everyday and never realize there’s an owner behind those door who dedicated their life to it
Truth
Nah, it stresses me out when I drive by a mini-mall filled with very unattractive businesses that I’d never want to try.
Like I always wonder how long they can stay open and how busy do they ever get?
Lots of times those businesses are failing because the owner ISNT dedicating their life to it.
😢
Because there are limited things that we can do for these business. As much as you want to help, the best you can do is either buy their products and promote it.
That's awesome. We had like 10 customers and the next day we had hundreds. Probably the most amazing feeling ever
@@jamesjustin9181 who
Yes but customers will not put up with menu item shortages or delays in getting the food. Hopefully he had plenty of food on hand that day
A rush of customers can be a curse. It's better to have consistent business than just huge days.
Most people nowadays will not be patient with staff or food shortages. Even if they do it'll be a small amount of patience.
Keeping people interested would be a better way. Having them keep you in mind anytime they are hungry will be better. Not just going to fast food etc.

As much as I hate platforms like TikTok for a multitude of reasons, this is one instance where I'm glad it existed and was there to help someone who otherwise might not have been helped. Glad the business is booming!
Im WITH you!
Social media is at its core a beautiful thing and really just an extension of older facets of internet society; the real plague is the modern industry of influencers and full-time social media personalities.

For getting pity, it’s kinda pathetic.
Carlos is a great guy and has been making great food for years. First at a food cart on 300 W and now at Nicos. I am glad he has battled through the pandemic. It would be a loss to SLC to see him fold. Nicos is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Northern Utah and I wish him every success.
Beautiful 🤩
He really is a great guy. I’ve known him for about 6 years now. And he’s not brainwashed like the “Morons” so he deserves to do well. Plus his food is AMAZING!!
And he raised a great son.
A restaurant needs customers. People keep saying the food is amazing but they aren’t getting enough business to continue to stay open long term. The math isn’t mathing.
@@louskunt9798 What exactly do you mean by brainwashed in this context? Seems a bit random.
No one showing up for things that someone was excited for always slashes me in the heart. Like no bs, I cry over things like that. I remember seeing a video where I guy threw a Halloween party and decorated everything so amazingly and he just showed the empty apartment with a caption like "it started 2 hours ago". Bro I can't.
Yea i cried watching this his dad look so excited to being heart broken🥺 but this is when i thank for having social media like tiktok and other platforms
You’re not alone, whenever I think about like- Kids that invite their whole class/friend group to their birthday party and decorate their whole house, get a bounce house or something, and get all excited for their birthday party, and then no one shows up? I literally send myself into a depression every time.
It's a strange, tormenting emotion. I feel you

Social media is a double edged sword: It can help but also wreck you. Glad to see it helped Nico's restaurant. Kudos to the son for taking the initiative and helping his Fathers' dream continue.
If you manage it carefully might save you too. It's like putting cloth on the sword.
@@noobythings Well sometimes the sheer number of people flocking over is a problem itself. Many restaurants on Kitchen Nightmares couldn’t cope with the new wave of publicity the show brought. There’s been people waiting for hours just to find a seat and most small businesses can’t handle that. If people weren’t super impressed by the food and the hype died down, the restaurant could go back to being dead like always rather quickly.
That's right, howany people got sick?
Social media is fake
Isn't everything?
That’s cute! Instead of the teen being embarrassed to help out he’s out there helping. Love it!

Yes, I see it in my children. If people would just take care of there families over themselves. This world would be such an amazing place to live. Same with a company or corporation, if they would just take care of the employee and acknowledge the human condition. One day you may deal with an employee down on his luck that may cause a disruption in productivity however, because you helped that other employee 2 months ago when he was down on his luck, he will most likely be happy to do his best to make up for that difference and work longer days that week. Yet, these days you see the corporate empires expecting people to run around as though they’re robots and humanity is completely taken out of the equation. Its absolutely disgusting how companies, corporations, and parents have treated one another. There is just no love anymore. Its all about money. Sad, sad, world we live in today. Its sad that the family unit is the minority. Its sad that families don’t love one another like this anymore.
Exactly
As a kid who's dad owned a small business, I saw that same stress and sadness he saw on his father in my own during the 2008 recession when business slowed basically to a stop. This kid is awesome I'm so glad he was able to help his family business !!

You know that you did all that you could. I'm sure that he appreciated thst.
@@sadjaxx Thank you for saying that! I never told him about all the people I tried to send to him for business but I know he had quite a few use him. I even convinced his vendors to drop his prices dramatically when I moved and worked for a similar company in another district. One of them crushed me because he honestly didn't believe he was my father. He said my dad told him he only had 3 kids, referring to my siblings by name even. I thought he was joking but he was as serious as a heart attack. So I don't know if my dad appreciated any of my efforts, or my existence even, but that has never changed how much I loved him.
