Hefner and Overholser are like hidden gems of fishing here in the city. Just last week I caught a 16lb blue cat balloon fishing out at Overholser, I’ve seen 20’s and even pictured recently of 40’s. Crappie are actually pretty fun out at Overholser. Right now Arcadia is very very slow but Overholser has produced some, even 13 inch crappie, 1.47 lb crappies. Hybrids at Overholser tend to bite really good off the bank for around a week and a half, but easily catch some over 5lbs, seen some over 10 caught and rumors of a 25lb hybrid caught earlier this year. Whenever the Hefner hybrids are schooled up, it’s fun.theres been times I’ve limited out in hybrids all over 2lbs within two hours throwing the same lure in one area, cast after cast. Talking to locals, learning the lakes and just giving it a try has helped me catch some decent sized fish. Just got into slip corking for crappie which Brandon Jones has helped with, have yet to catch a big one yet but this spring it’s bound to happen.
Hidden gems my ass. Both are suuuuper crowded and Overholser is like somebody took their entire inventory In Fallout and dumped it everywhere you wanna fish. We keep looking back like this shit was how we grew up and it isn't. THIS IS TRASH. And now they want a permit for NOT DOING SHIT. Fuck them and fuck this lake- this is BULLSHIT
Wow I injoyed watching this video I’ll be trying to hit the spot y’all were in lol I notice y’all had a rig I haven’t seen before is the a name for that rig great job
The east side of the lake, there’s fish everywhere it’s just you have to present it right and fish the right locations. I’ve caught a mess of hybrids around the restaurants recently, just about every night there’s hybrids there. Crappie have been slow here as well as catfish. Spring and summer target those rocks and you’ll for sure catch some.
Howdy, There needs to be more guys like you two Good family men teaching right and doing right, also good music thanks for being awesome ambassadors for good clean living

It's great to know you are having success around the OKC metro fisheries!

This video was shot during the catfish spawn. They had good luck on THAT day only. Try it now.............................
Well right now it’s too cold for them catfish to be so shallow. Try spring time when the water warms up, there will be a bunch of catfish there.
