MAN.........I am facing my next marathon this spring and I am NOT about the training. But watching you freakin’ suffering has got me inspired ! This will be my 4th but it’s been 10 years since the last one.
Congrats on the 1st Marathon! I ran my 1st marathon at the same race too! I experience every pain you're talking about. That is a Brutal 2nd Half of course.
Man, your story is like the same exact story as mine (we even finished within 1 minute of eachother)... I decided to run a marathon that was only 40 days a away. I was in terrible shape, but thought "how hard could it be..plus it will make for a cool video". I ended up doing like 9 training runs before the race and when i crossed the finish line i had zero gas left in the tank. I was dead for about two days afterwards.
Im about to race in the Honolulu Marathon in 5 days dec 8. I am an avid runner and triathlete but life took a turn since summer and as a nurse working 12hr shifts full time....just like you....zero training....i mean maybe 10km here n there. Thank You for your video to show it can be done. I have done 1 other full. I usually do about 5 half's a year. Your video will be in my mind next sunday. Thank You
I used to be fat. I used to hate running. Like even a few 100meters... But I have decided to run a Marathon. And I really wanna do it under 4 hours. I probably can´t but I'm really gonna push myself and I will finish no matter what. I have been through some tough things in life, especially in the last 5 years and I think it made me a lot stronger mentally. So now I wanna see how far my mind can take me. Because I don´t consider myself a runner at all. It´s just a battle of the mind for me and it will be interesting just to see how much pain I can take. Wish me luck!
Wow pal i started running around the time you wrote that comment, like ten months ago, every day 4,2kms two days ago i run 39kms to my village took me 4:50. How did your thing go?
GOD PLEASE TELL ME YOU RICED YOUR ANKLE DUDE. I have chronic pain in my hips and knees and ankles due to muscle degradation and experience the pain you’re describing constantly. Icing and elevating and ibuprofen is what help in the moment, but taking some time and research to do some deep, comprehensive, (easy at first) stretching in that area helps so much.
Watched this as I ran on the trendmill. Doing a marathon in 1 month. I haven't trained as hard as I should have but I'm feeling confident now. Your video was hilarious! Sorry to laugh at your pain but I've been through it and know exactly what you felt. I'm like if he can do it with no training I should be ok.
I have my first marathon Sunday. I’ve been doing a race a month so 13 miles every 4 weeks. But I went to Australia for 3.5 weeks and well I haven’t ran but lots of walking. I just hope to finish
I. Am doing how to run a marathon with 8 years (actually 10years)consistent training ,I will be 60 and want to be fit going into my oap days,I did 20 miles on treadmill,so trying to get under 4 hours ,8 yrs from now
@@warriorgirl126 it was sadly cancelled due to covid persisting. I didn’t, but I did go out and do a 14 mile run without breakfast or training and it hurt a lottttttt. No way I coulda gotten to 26 that day. Maybe with slower and more breaks and great breakfast lol!
It's not that bad am about to run my first marathon and I only practice for 2 months and I feel like I am going to run a 2 hours and 50 minutes marathon and pace 6:50 minutes a mile it's just hard work.my last long run was 16 mile out of long hard hills and it takes me 2 hours flat
I. REGRET. EVERYTHING. Thanks for watching! Check out our podcast called "Peaked in Middle School" that's linked in the description!

How was your marathon?
How’d it go?!
Kyle's hair just stayed put the whole the race, lol!
Stretching is the worst thing you can do before a run. Dynamic stretching maybe. Congratulations!
I was thinking the same thing. 👍
no way, my hamstrings need to be stretched before any activities r done or even thinking of.... 3:35
This was super cool! I can't imagine doing anything like that 😂
Anthony Borrelli thanks bro! Idk if I’ll ever do it again haha but it was worth it
Wonderful!! Great job!

Meanwhile I'm actually training for the marathon
The cramping probably came from lack of water and/or salt not stretching
Without training would be like COUCH to the start line in the next day, but kudos well done!
Exactly! I’m doing exactly this in a video, I’m so excited
@@MatthewKGarr it’s been a year did you do it?
