4:15 it wasn't an electric car, it was reported to be a diesel car. I think a Landrover Discovery Sport. There's an active recall for 37,000 of those vehicles due to a risk of fire!
ok, I've dug out the recall notice from the government website - now this is just a hunch and the Luton fire might not be due to this at all, but as you can see, conventional fuelled vehicles can also be a fire risk…
FUEL MAY LEAK
Recall number
R/2016/131
Recall date
03-08-2016
Recall type
Safety recall
Reason for recall
The under bonnet fuel hoses routed on top of the engine may chafe against a plastic moulded noise suppressing material retaining posts on the underside of the engine top cover. The fuel hoses can over time chafe through the protective sleeve and fuel hose. Should the fuel hose wear through there will be an increased diesel fuel odour due to diesel fuel leaking. If this warning is ignored diesel fuel may leak onto the exhaust manifold (potential fire hazard) or onto the road surface (potential skid hazard).
How to check if the vehicle is recalled
Contact the local LAND ROVER dealership or manufacturer. You will not need to pay for anything involving the recall.
How the manufacturer will repair
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and ensure the securing washers are pushed fully home. Additionally remove 8mm from the plastic moulded retaining posts. The tape wrapped around the fuel hose protective sleeve and the fuel hose will be visually inspected and replaced if there are signs of damage.
Number of affected vehicles
37059
It’s always amazing how many people just don’t understand how a motorway works! Think you should have a drive around the m60 in Manchester and call out all the people who lane hog and sit 10ft from one another.
Nice image from the camera. Thanks for sharing
Haloooo! Nice video as always. And no, I don't think anyone forgot it was all about the new camera!👍🤣😉
I do like your channel. It great that you describe were people are driving wrong. The video clips are very clear with detail. Can you recommend a camera for use on a push bike.
I didn't realise how poor the driving is today.
Thanks Tony for a wonderful channel. Keep up the great content.

11:00 When the road is as quiet as that the way to overtake is to go into lane 3, overtake then move to lane 1. Allow the car in lane 2 to overtake you then repeat until they get the message. 🤣🤣 As long as no-one else is in danger then there is no problem.
Good morning DC, another good session thank you. For my money, if a car crosses the white line they should make sure it is safe. On your side of the white line it is your priority to surrender, not his to take.
That's the way I see it too 👍
Great video showing the new camera I find it annoying when people park right by small speed bumps especially when you're on the same side and are forced to go on the other side to use it correctly plus I was once told by a mechanic that for every speed bump or pothole was 10p damage to your suspension which would be now probably 20-25p.
Regarding the speed bumps, I believe they are so designed to enable emergency vehicles to pass over them at speed. In normal driving, you are expected to be going slowly enough to be able to drive over the bump.
The line down the middle of the road doesn't really mean anything when the road has been narrowed by a parked car. If the remaining carriageway is wide enough for two vehicles to pass, that's what should happen.
That was a great video Tony. The Viofo A229 Plus is definitely an improvement on the A129 Pro. Noticeable difference to clarity and brighter, also copes well with bright light. Shows up the inadequacies of drivers around you more!!!!! 🤣🤣🤣 Many thanks for sharing with us 👍👍👍
Thanks London Dash Cam 🚕👍🎥
Regardless of the bumps, if parking is allowed on a road, the road should still be wide enough for 2 cars to be able to pass each other while both stay in their own lanes.
Very tempted to replace my camera with one of these Viofo cameras, very impressed with your footage. On the speedbump issue, if someone crosses the white line onto the wrong side of the road as far as I am concerned they are at fault if there is an accident. If their side is too narrow or blocked they need to wait until it is clear.
Thanks, this is what I need
Regarding your question on who has priority over the speed bumps, Rule 127 of the Highway code is pretty clear. RULE 127: A broken white line. This marks the centre of the road. When this line lengthens and the gaps shorten, it means that there is a hazard ahead. Do not cross it unless you can see the road is clear and wish to overtake or turn off.
I assume you were being ironic/sarcastic re. the Luton airport car park fire, as we all know it was actually a diesel car which started it, and no EV contributed to any issue with putting the fire out. 🙂
I used to use the A14 a lot before it had all the work on it around Huntingdon and was only 2 lanes. You could go for miles with nothing in the near side lane but the out side was packed.
Regarding speed bumps. We have a road near us with speed bumps, the road is about three quarters of a mile and there is 8 bumps down it about one every 170 yds and it's 20MPH zone. I just drive down it between 15-20 mph so I go over them without hardly any braking. But you get the idiots who go over the first bump then put their foot down then brake to go over the next bump and so it goes all the way to the end of the road. What is the point?
4.22 It was a diesel car that caught fire and not electric
I would think, on the subject of the speed bumps, that if you were to hit mirrors or any part of each other's cars, the driver who wasn't on his side of the road would be found at fault.... I mean don't y'all have a rule about whichever side has the obstruction must give way or some such thing???? If you are in your lane, you don't need to move for diddly squat. I know I wouldn't.... But I'm a b!$ch like that lol.... Anyway, very nice camera. May upgrade mine simply because it doesn't have a working app like it's suppose to. But I really like the clarity on this one.... And the sun didn't wash it out either....
Great video 😊
The obstruction is on their side of the road so they SHOULD give way to so the road traffic act states. In the event of a collision any damage is THEIR FAULT as an insurance would agree.
Speed humps---- the government only has guide lines as stated by Darlington Borough Council to me .
Where exactly does it say that in the Road Traffic Act? Or did you just make that up?
Have good look ditch 3327 at the road traffic act an you will find it I did. I presume you are a driver so you should know even if you passed your test 50 years ago.
If you still don't believe me you haven't read the act properly. So go an ask a driving instructor they should know.
@@silverfox57 OK so you can't quote the section and tried to deflect. As suspected I presume you just made it up.
In fact the rule is that you have to give way BEFORE passing parked cars or obstruction on your side, but that no longer applies once you are passing the parked cars. At that point it is just as if it is a narrow road and if there is a collision then it is the moving vehicle that is at fault and if both are moving then both are at fault.
I had a look and the A129 is £224.95 on amazon.
I just looked at your comment and it made me check my title of this video and I stupidly put A119, I've changed it now to A129, it definitely triggered something in my brain to check the title was correct and it wasn't thanks for that 👍
@@thelondondashcam I just took a snapshot of your picture from my telly and went from there
Tony are you sure that Luton airport fire was caused by an EV, I think you will find it was a diesel powered Range Rover.
Diesel hybrid it is thought and it was the battery that caused the fire. So they say.
😂😂😂😂😂
Imagine believing the “narrative”
regarding undertaking on motorway you didnt as you didnt change lanes,,,,if youd have been in middle lane then come into the inside to go round a car thats classed as undertaking
🎥👍
Has anyone else ordered from the provided link, its the overseas site and shipping from China, has anyone got custom charge's
Why are you saying the Luton Airport fire was an electric car? It wasn't. It was a Diesel Range Rover. The fire brigade said the fire was most likely caused by an electrical fault which the AA confirm as a common cause of fires emanating from faulty 12-volt batteries. The footage of the fire shows the license plate of the vehicle. I've checked it out myself on the MOT check on gov.uk and it is definitely a diesel Range Rover as the fire brigade stated. It's not electric. It's not a hybrid. It's not even an Audi. It's just diesel. For someone who's so observant when criticising other drivers mistakes, you totally missed the ball on this one.
