    Super cute! I am new to glass could you tell me did you make the black dots? And if so how... Thank you. I've made dots just not that small :-) Also what size stringers? THANK YOU!

      Thanks! I used coarse black frit for the small black dots. I just full fused them with my other sized dots. If you don't have coarse frit right now, try nipping a few small pieces of black glass. The stringers came either from a seller on Etsy (JL Glass www.etsy.com/shop/jlglass) or Tabitha's Glass Emporium (www.tabithasglassemporium.com/). Be sure they use the same COE glass as you do. I'm working with Bullseye glass. Happy Fusing!!

    I am new to glass fusing. Could you tell me how you make all the pieces melt, and hold together please?

      Welcome to the world of fusing! It's addicting :)
      If you can take a beginner glass fusing class, you'll learn a LOT of information on how to get started. I use a Paragon Fusion 19 kiln to fuse the glass. I am not a full-time artist so that size kiln works well for the number and sizes of projects that I make. You can find a lot of information online about glass kilns - but the resource I use the most for kiln information is www.kilnfrog.com. You can also find a lot of information here: glasscampus.com/tutorials.htm

      Welcome to the world of glass fusing! It's a bit addicting, isn't it?! The stakes in this video are about 7" tall. I've made all different sizes with different designs - for plants that are small succulents to large potted lilies. Here's a short that I made showing some of the smaller sized plant stakes. Have fun creating!!

    Adorable. What did you use for the curved plant stem?

    • @redlanternglass
      @redlanternglass  8 місяців тому

      Thank you! The curved plant stem is a stringer. Sometimes they are called vitrigraph stringers. You can find sellers on Etsy in the COE you're using. The ones I'm using in this video are from J L Glass Designs. I'm using Bullseye glass.

    Love them! Nice work. What is the glue?

    • @redlanternglass
      @redlanternglass  8 місяців тому

      I generally use Bullseye GlasTac (pink), but sometimes I'll use their blue GlasTac gel. I use just enough glue to help keep the glass in place until I transfer everything to the kiln. I typically let the glue dry over night before firing and I'm using a tack firing schedule.

    Hearts as birds is a great idea. Do you put a stake on yours, or do you just stick them pointy end down into the soil?

    • @redlanternglass
      @redlanternglass  Рік тому +1

      Thanks! I didn't add a stake, just pushed the pointy end into the soil. I think this size suits a medium to large pot best.
