This is a most helpful series of posts
I've been using Lightroom since it first came out and didn't know 1/10th of what you are presenting in this series. Thank you so much!
Keep 'em coming Julieanne. Another one I nearly didn't bother to watch as I never really saw the point of Quick Develop. This was so useful.
As always with Julieanne's tutorials, there's a lot that she tells us. Fantastic!
Fantastic. I hve been using Lightroom for years and still learn something new from every Julieanne video. Loving this new short format single feature style. Many thanks from Australia.
I find this video a great addition to helping my work flow. I was reluctant to use Quick Develop before this tutorial. Much appreciated!
I have been using Lightroom since version 1 was released. I would regard myself as an advanced user, but I still learn something new every time I watch a video in this series. Excellent 😎
Good to know. I'll be using quick develop a lot more knowing what I learned from this tutorial.
Love the way you teach.
i learn something every time , thank you
I cannot believe I didn't know about the relative adjustment using LR quick develop for multiple selections - thanks! I use Auto mode to set a base "intelligent" baseline for my images - but is there a way to stop it messing with Vibrancy and Saturation? I'm happy for it to AUTO white & blacks endpoints, as well as color temp , contrast and exposure. But it drives me crazy when it keeps fiddling with vibrancy and saturation. Of course I revert those - but still - is it tunable at all?
Unfortunately it's not customizable. however you can hold the shift key and double click on the words "Whites" or" Blacks" in the Basic panel in the Develop module to have LRC automatically set the Black and White points in an image.
I am in Library Module, and there is no Quick Develop option. Beneath the histogram are Keyboarding and Metadata panels, nothing else. What should I be doing to make it appear?
There are some things about LR that I've always disliked and I think keep it from being a complete image editing and organizing program. Quick develop is one of them. There is nothing I can do faster there than in normal develop. The lack of a full panel with hidden buttons that only show up creates insecurity and adds wasted time before we switch to normal, so you avoid it like it's not there and everything happens to normal D. Regarding the Sync not everything is so good there either. If you choose, let's say, 3 or more pictures and try to synchronize horizon or vertical lines, it can't do it. If you Auto them, you will get different result for each photo even if it was a burst shoot. If you after check each image separately, it will fix it enough but not completely, you still have to check each one again and make corrections.
While I appreciate your knowledge of PS & Lightroom, you have to be kidding us with these images to show off Quick develop. Tonally they have little information to offer your viewers due to the narrow colour range of ice flows and personally I found them pretty much underwhelming for use in a demo.
Well hopefully you were able to learn the theory behind the tools and will be more successful in editing your own photos.
It's your opinion ok but,I think you missing the point of these series.
It's about modules and features and how to use them to work with Lightroom and not how to post process your images.
And for me, these series cover all very well explained in a simple way.
This is a serie or course I definitely tell a newbie to watch.
