The two best Lightroom tutors are Julianne Koste and Anthony Morganti. Both are brilliant and make you feel capable of attaining great skills. Also they speak clearly and not too quickly.

Well, me again.. Your training videos are SUPERB,,, the only thing that I would recommend would be not to spend so much time telling all of the keyboard keystrokes, most folks (especially me) could never remember all the the keyboard shortcuts, therefore we mostly prefer seeing the mouse selection areas and boxes to utilize all the tools. Now, I am NOT complaining, you do a GREAT job and have a very nice clear speaking voice. CHEERS !!

Julieanne, a million thank you’s for this tutorial. As an amateur, with about 3 years of occasional LRC experience, and well over a hundred video tutorials watched, I had to write you to clap as loudly as possible. This is by far the clearest, most relevant, directly helpful LRC tutorial I’ve watched. Masking has been one of the most important areas that I knew I needed to better utilize, but never found a comprehensive tutorial like this that I could immediately apply. Thank you so much, you have a new subscriber who will soon be digging through your archived content. Kudos!

Great video Julieanne and thank you. Loving the new masking updates in Lightroom I'm hoping that there will be another update to add Ai sharpness and no-noise. I was editing a dog, thought I would try out the masking I clicked on masking and selected subject, and it picked and masked the whole of the dog even though it was in grassland and trees. I was really surprised when I clicked on the custom drop down and it actually had in the drop down, dog eyes

Hi Julianne: As always, your videos are so well done and your teaching style instills at great deal of confidence for the viewer. Great explanations on the new features and congratulations to the team at Adobe for hitting another home run. My only wish would be if Adobe allowed you to change the colour of the brush outline so that it appears more noticeably for the user. My eyesight isn't what it used to be. Cheers, Keith

As always, great presentation Julieanne! I no longer use Lightroom due to the subscription-only model, but it was great to catch up with what LR is capable of in terms of masking. I wish Capture One would not force one to rasterise parametric masks before they can be combined with brushed masks and that it would support the mask operations LR supports (joining, subtracting, and intersecting).

Thanks for explaining LRC masking tools and procedures. My computer is loaded with LRC 2022 and I used to edit photographs. For the past few days, I have noticed that both manual and AI-based masking tools are not working. If a porting of the image is masked with any of the masking tools and edited locally, instead global adjust is taken place. Do you think the software is corrupted and I need to reload the same? If I need to reload the software what will be the status of my catalogues and edited images? Can I restore my photo catalogues and edited /preferred photographs?

very nice video. I have been struggling with some of these functions. But I have an issue in my LR. the masking brush slider increases in size but does not hold and remain. it comes back to the minimum size. Also the brackets do not work. I can increase the size but it comes back to the minimum size. while the masking brush brackets work in Photoshop. Second issue is the people masking, if I select some body parts of the person and say create mask, the slider panels do not open. Any remedies.
