The misinformation presented here does a disservice to anyone trying to learn the common sense ideas behind what we call etiquette. Your guests are in for an uncomfortable evening at this table. This is an American table setting, there is nothing formal about it. A formal setting, meaning that for any dinner of ceremony, would have a quite different arrangement. A napkin, folded as a rectangle, is laid on the place plate. As each guest puts their napkin on their lap, a salad plate with contents is laid on the place plate, or a filled soup dish, or whatever the first course is to be. Empty plates are never stacked in from of a guest. Ever. Knife blades are to be laid with the sharp edges toward the dinner plate, never as you have laid them. Ever. Bread plates are never on a formal dinner table as butter is never part of a formal menu. Ever. Properly, breads served at formal meals are placed on the rim of the entree plate or on the tablecloth to the right of each guest. Your explanation of wines being subject to 'your guests preference', is as misguided an explanation for why there are a variety of glasses at each place setting as has ever been offered. Do a little research, or call this video something else. Please.
