I hope you all get a reason to be on the water this weekend!

Great stuff man! How long til it gets cold over there? We are still 55-65 F over here on the westcoast of Norway, but it's getting noticeable colder and darker every week now. Hoping for mild winter! 🤞🤙

it's starting! my last sesh I realized I'm getting closer to pulling my thicker booties out water stays kinda warm for another 2 months but I figure I'll have that 5:4 on in the next few weeks. I always prefer to be too warm vs cold, and being cold out there when I have all the gear... shame on me!
but next week it looks very warm, like 70s and 80s, which happens. I'll take as many weeks of that as I can get, but it's prolly one of the last we will see.
I wish you and your Norway crew an awesome weekend! I hope y'all can rip!

Hey Jeromy! Long time no talk. Great session bud!
So, I have been back winging since July 14th. 11 months to the day for me after my surgery. Made my first Tack and my gybes are finally getting a little more consistant. Got a question for you on Light wind winging. So this past weekend I went to a gear demo. Wind was really light. I flogged around for 3 hours and couldnt get up on the foil. (There were guys up on foild) I Used the F one 7 and 8, tried the Cabrinha 8, was on a Cabrinha Code 100l board but,. My pumping skills sucked! couldnt keep my balance. Any vidoes/tips you recommend for light winging?
BTW, I ordered a Nova Light wind 8 and i figure i would start with my 120 L beginner board. Thanks
    S

YESSS!! huge welcome back bud. I know how that feels, and 11 months must have felt like forever!
about light wind... every little piece helps. if you have a 7 or 8 and cannot get on foil, I'd prolly look at getting a new foil that you use just for light winds? my guess is that is the difference between you the other guys, obviously technique can be a thing too. I've recently realized my pump-game totally sucks too. so you are not alone. it takes a lot of practice, some may get it quick, and then there's the rest of us. I always looked at the wind and never really try winging when it's under 12mph. I just don't like to work that hard. I know wings say you can get out in like 8 but you need to have all the other pieces working to get that ow end down as well. now that I have a dw board, I think that my self-imposed 12mph barrier will be tested and a new acceptable low will be found. but up until now, I see people trying to get on foil in like 10mph and I don't even raise an eyebrow - it just doesn't interest me.
btw your 120L could be fine, but depending on it's shape, you may be better off with the smaller board. If it's like a barge and doesn't get up to speed at all, it's not gonna help. I've gone out on my sinker and a 1525 once and it totally worked. try borrowing a friend's big foil and see what that does.
again, welcome back bud! I wish you an awesome weekend!
