I have found that cheap vinyl/plastic placemats work fantastically for mats to glue napkins on. I find them at thrift stores very cheaply or new at Dollar stores. The plastic kitchen chopping mats work great also. Once the glue is dry, the napkin peels right off. Then I wipe or wash off any bits if residual glue and re-use them over and over. Love listening to your thought process, Luise!! It always amazes me the ideas that you come up with. ❤
It’s not her original saying it’s Tim Holtz, the crafter that she follows and most crafters follow she’s a regular chatterbox, but I love to watch her experiment and come up with the things that she comes up with very creative
@@WhiteRavenBookRooktrue but I’m sure she’s like me….watched so many of Tim’s lives that his “sayings” catch on like a little jingle or song that sticks in our brain, I find myself saying soooo many of his little quotes he has, so weird how I don’t even notice myself saying them anymore lol. He should trademark ALL of them teehee. 🤭
Every time I ink the edge of a page, I think “what is it about the tattered & ancient look that I find so appealing?” I think I want it to look worn, like it’s seen some s***, like it’s borne witness to an exciting life, an artifact. You are the only person that talked me into beating my book with a hammer. I will watch you try anything, L.H.
Luise, Genius idea for the teabags, I have a ton that I have been saving and the idea to add stamps with the glue is spectacular. Love your creative content and wish the best in all your bucket list endeavors.
You are brilliant, I can feel your excitement. When you said "why didn't I just use a butterfly" I laughed so much!. I'm going to try this very very soon
Luise, I love you so much and I always feel good after watching our videos.! Not only are you extremely creative, but if you ever decide to give up your art, you could be a standup comedienne. This technique looks like so much fun and I will definitely give it a try.
Luise the JJ Alchemist strikes again! Love how excited you get when you’re experimenting 💕 And of course the results are AhhhhMazing! 😁 Thank you for hanging out with us
We don't always get another chance. 😢I discovered the painful lesson that unexpected things happen. Love your artwork. I'll look for the living room concert 😊
Hi from the east coast ( USA ) I love your enthusiasm for experimenting. It's contagious. You are an outstanding teacher and artist. You are an inspiration Luise. Keep growing!❤
I adore when you say, dont freak your freak!!!! A cereal bag works great as an alternative to this time of year holtz mat…in case someone doesnt have the mat
Another fun experimental video, Luise! It is just so much fun to craft along with you as you play in your studio! Loving the February Bucket List videos. You are so much fun to hang out with and so down to earth. Wish I could give you multiple thumbs up! Looking forward to your next video. ♥♥♥
I am new to junk journaling. Your ideas are so fascinating! You are very original in them. When I saw you stamp on the mat I was surprised! The process of this technique was very enlightening. You have sparked ideas in my brain that I can hardly wait to make!
Oh, Luise, I just bought a TH mat and can't wait to try this. I have made faux tea bag rice paper before, but never thought to stamp like this. Also, maybe you know this, but if you tear off the straight edges of the tea bzg paper and then overlap them when you glue them down, the teabag edges blend together better and you dont really see any edges anymore. It helps give a more mottled look. Anyway, love that you showed this. So much fun! Thanks for sharing! Sue 😊❤
Can’t wait to try this. The results are so versatile and grungy. You made me laugh when you talked about instant coffee 😊. Thanks for sharing your birthday month with us.
For those that have Dollar Trees near you, the plastic kitchen/cutting mats that they sell are really good for this as well and at .63 cents each, )2 per pack) they are also a good deal and have lots of other uses.
I can feel the excitement rising up in me regarding this process with the tea bags and napkins. So incredible. I can’t wait to get started. Thank you, Luise.
WOW!!! I've not used tea bags. I don't know why, but I don't use napkins because they tear too easily. I like that the napkins disappear with collating them down leaving the picture or print. I will definitely start saving my tea bags and trying this with my napkins! TFS You are always inspirational to me. ❤❤❤
Love it! But mostly I really like you! You are so funny and quirky, I love that! ❤ The things you make are just up my alley and I am new to papercrafting and junkjournaling and I mostly see just the same, until I came upon your channel. Yey! ⭐❤
Ceiling fans are a great source for drying craft projects. I have ceiling fans in every room to help with air circulating. Works great to dry paper . I set them in trays on top of my washer or dryer and they dry quicker. A desk fan maybe good just watch the speed . I would try it on low. Very cool idea.
I laughed so hard, at the very end, that I started choking on my own saliva!🤣...I guess you looked up "tea bagging".👀lol I am really enjoying your "bucket list" videos. It's like chilling, just "hanging out with Luise!".🤩 My favorite parts...besides learning something incredible each time...is when you are so happy with your experiments & amazed by your discoveries. Believe me, it's a joy for us too... Well, it is for me.💗 So much love and blessings for joyful times to come.💜💜💜
Another alternative for a silicone mat is a bag from cereal. They're very large if you open them up and work really well for making faux rice paper with napkins, etc.
It’s simply amazing; you’ve taken the rice paper idea and made it one hundred percent more interesting! I just hope to learn more of these techniques that I couldn’t even imagine, from you, thanks!
Amazing! I love everything about this technique and the yummy grungy outcome. It is such a joy to hear the excitement in your voice as you’re discovering more and more opportunities in using this technique! Blows my socks off for sure..thank you!
Louise, you are amazing! This technique is awesome. I love how you stumble upon something and then one thing leads to the next and what do you know? There’s Louise with another astonishing creation. Thank you for always sharing your discoveries with us, thoroughly explaining each step so we can learn it too. I can’t wait to try this technique. Very cool❣️❣️❣️ Thank you for you!
That’s my favourite line, the professor, the inspector, aaaargh! Why haven’t I used a butterfly. 😂😂😂 Thinking, creating and then translating, it’s just too darn much for most people…. But they are not Luise Heinzl. You are brilliant but the stress must be so overwhelming at times. 🤗🤗🤗
Indeed... so many possibilities. I love hearing your thinking and experimenting/experiencing. This has been a great learning lesson. Thank you for sharing, Luise. P.S. As you say... it may not be everyone's taste. BUT, it is still ART, and I love it all.
Wow. I would have never thought to do this. This will be going into my must tries for the 100 day project. I’m going to use a stamp a day, as some of my stamps have never seen an ink pad, including the Inspector. Must start drinking tea. A friend gave me a whole starter tea box for Christmas and I’m a coffee drinker. Guess I can start tea dying paper also. Thank you for getting my little grey cells engaged and thinking.
If you did want to stamp on tissue paper, I've found using a gelli plate helpful. You can put the tissue paper on that, flatten it out and then use it to stamp on. Or if your stamps can go either way (i.e. it doesn't matter if they are mirrored) then you can stamp on the plate and lift it onto your paper. For those that want to keep their mat looking nice and clean 😉
I love your enthusiasm, I definitely feel it. This process is very interesting. I love your proficiency with the English Language. Don’t know how you do it.
My dear Luise I love your univers (even the one of Barbara too) and from about 3 years, I am "in love " with junk journal (sorry for my bad english). I will go on in french, sorry. Again HAPPY BIRTHDAY 🎉🎉🥳🥳🥳🥳😘😘😘
If you were to take some of the used tea from the bag and dry it, then you could sprinkle it over the stamping and then put the paper down. It might give the same effect.
I wonder if you could use a cereal box liner/that wax paper bag opened up & maybe taped down instead of the craft mat? Also I squealed when the 3 inspector tea bags came out connected to make one page. I love this idea! Can't wait to try. Also I ink my stamps lay them stamp side up lay the paper on top & rub or press with the clear block. It work pretty good. It's not the same with out the glue but it works for stamping. It's like stamping the paper on the stamp, not the stamp on the paper. Just say. & again no glue. Luv you so much! Happy belated B-Day 🎉🥳
This is amazing! Thank you so much for sharing. My head is spinning with all the possibilities. I've been experimenting myself and this fits right in with the direction I'm going. I always love your experiments❤❤❤❤
American here 👋🏼…I LOVE how you say deja vu

Thanks for telling us that the cheep vinal mats from Dollar stores. Thats good to know.
Love your saying, "Don't freak your freak." I need a t-shirt with this saying.
Me too! With a crazy design!
I just told my hubby about your "don't freak your freak" phrase. It would be a cool t-shirt! We could all wear it while we craft along!
It’s not her original saying it’s Tim Holtz, the crafter that she follows and most crafters follow she’s a regular chatterbox, but I love to watch her experiment and come up with the things that she comes up with very creative
I love these experiments so much. It makes me want to do my own. SO COOL LUISE!

I tried this technique using parchment paper and it was an epic failure. I tried again using freezer paper and it worked perfectly! Love the results.
I think Teflon baking sheets would work 🤔❤️
Love this !! I Can't wait to try this technique! Thank you for sharing this awesome way of doing it! You made me smile once again!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY 🎉🎉🥳🥳🥳🥳😘😘😘
You just have the most amazing ideas! Can’t wait to try this one.
I really want to see how you’ll use this in a junk journal ❤
💕I like to experiment too. Thank you for sharing what works. I love watching you. 💕
Louise maybe one can use wax paper or baking parchment paper as a work surface, these are what i us as my messy mat to protect my work surface 😊
I love listening to you and thanks for sharing your talent with us.❤❤❤
You are so cute and enthusiastic...its contagious tfs
this was very awesome!!! thank you 😊
