As a new follower and a bisexual male in a monogamous marriage I can tell you that your delight over the WLW kiss is just magical, not creepy at all.
Hey Alayna, bi girl here! I'm almost never nervous around guys because I feel like if it doesn't work out, no biggie because there's tons of other guys I could date, HOWEVER there's definitely fear/nervousness with dating girls for a couple reasons: finding a gf is like finding a unicorn, rare and magical but you don't want to scare her off 😂 and also girls intimidate me (probably some kind of ingrained heteronormativity that girls are competition aka a threat). I also fear rejection from girls because I feel like they're a lot more critical of appearance. Maybe it's just me but I feel like guys are less picky so I'm confident that I can date/sleep with them pretty easily, but I'm incredibly self-concious around women because they seem to be typically more aware of small details in appearances because they tend to be more focused on their appearance than a lot of guys (more attention given to hair, clothes, makeup, skincare, jewelry, etc). I know there's a lot of generalizations there but that's just my usual impression/outlook most of the time.
For me it has nothing to do with a scarcity mindset. There’s queer people everywhere esp in my city idc about that. It’s more that my feelings for women & connections w them are deeper so I have a bit more to loose, I care more about what women think of me or if they respect me than what men do generally speaking, and I also have experience with women, but not a lot of experience dating or being romantic w women, I’m just more attracted to women and want them to feel special & have a good time and like me because they just matter more, I’m more attracted to them, it all just holds more weight. It’s like the build up of emotions and desires of being in the closet for so many years sorta adds to the excitement & anxiety .With men there’s no pressure bc I barely like men lol, I have trouble genuinely believing men even care about me or genuinely like me or my gender, you could just breath & exist or look physically attractive & a man will be obsessed or impressed with you and attribute all these amazing qualities to you when he doesn’t even know you yet, he’ll put you up on a pedestal/idealize you, the whole manic pixie dream girl effect. So while men’s validation can feel nice in the moment, it doesn’t actually matter in the end. Or really mean I’m all that attracted to them, especially not romantically (things compulsory heterosexuality & self examination has lead me to believe about my own sexuality) I don’t get nervous around women because I’m not idealizing or pedestaling them (even though a part of me does see women as a lil superior lol) it’s more that I’m a gaybe it’s all new and exciting and I’m just ready to experience a queer relationship. And I feel actually seen by women. And I love them for their inner beauty which doesn’t happen often with men. It’s whatever if it doesn’t work out but still I’m a bit more nervy around women because there’s nothing like the bond & love between two women-it’s sacred in a way it never could be with a man

I’m bi and dating women has always felt more intimidating to me and higher stakes or less performative. That’s just my personal experience.
If dating men feels performative, maybe you should have a look at the master doc.
I think we ask ourselves if things we feel are creepy because we ask ourselves if feeling queer things is ok. It's 💯 percent ok! Don't shame yourself or shy away from your feelings. I feel like not knowing how to handle our romantic/sexual feelings is what it is to not know how we feel with them out in the open. Take good care of them, you're doing great! 🤗

@@AlaynaJoyOfficial I also think healthy sexuality comes with healthy sexual boundaries. Somebody else made the presence of their attraction feel uncomfortable but you don't have to. At some point it's abuse that made uncomfortable to express a normal part of ourselves. #queerhealing

As a 35-year-old I SO wish I'd had this kind of representation in television shows to watch when I was younger. Being excited about a relationship show where they want you to root for the relationship like it's a football team is not creepy! You're watching the show for the reasons they want you to watch it, and it's not more creepy or less creepy because it's about girls instead of the straight relationships it's always been about before!
If you want to dip into a completely gay and/or lesbian dating show, I recommend Princess Charming and Prince Charming. They’re German reality shows but they have really good subtitles.
Especially Princess Charming discusses those really important topics (sexuality, coming out, etc.) ☺️
My fellow queer people on is Netflix warrior nun season two out. It's a fantasy/action show with a very interesting plot, amazing characters, badass fight scenes and important messages like the importance of sistershood and have THE BEST wlw couples in history. And they are Canon confirmed but a kiss and the producer himself. If you can please watch the show so netflix renews it. We can't lose such an incredible and important show. Thank you 🙏🏻

Your feeling of nervousness around women was an interesting perspective. As a Lesbian, I've had the complete opposite experience. Dating and being with women has never made me feel nervous. From the moment I came out of the closet, and went on a date with another queer person for the first time, I felt free, excited, and weightless. I no longer had to contort and mold myself, and pretend to follow a heteronormative script; that time period of being closeted made me feel incredibly nervous, and rightfully so. As a Lesbian woman, being able to love and interact with women and nonbinary sapphics has always felt instinctual and comfortable.
OMG I was just about to say the same thing! Going on dates with / interacting romantically with men always felt like playing a role, the role of this ideal, straight out of a rom-com woman. I also felt totally uncomfortable and kinda terrified about the prospect of them touching me at all, so I spent a lot of time wishing and hoping they wouldn't... It still took like 4 years to realize I wasn't bisexual, cause I'm a complete buffoon apparently.
