I hate fake reality TV. There's nothing real but the participants' desire to be famous, and the makers' desire to make money.
The problem isn't Jamie, it's Brooke. She's leading Jamie on. She doesn't feel what she's saying she feels, and that's probably because the producers wanted her to capitalize on the crossover of it all. She spends episodes hardly acknowledging Jamie, and then when they have a date, she's all over her, as if they have something deeply established.

yeah i agree i feel like the connection isnt really there but they are keeping it going for the sake of spice in the show
thats honestly why I cant get into reality tv normally. Sure it can be real, but conflict and drama gets more views. Its adrenaline. So its really sad. Even if you do connect with someone you gotta try with other people and ultimately pick them but by that tie I cant imagine they feel too great. THis show is for the strong, or for the fake. The soft hearted will be eaten up.

They have cero quemistry, but each is too nice to say so, so at least they tried.
FYI: While Germany was not only the first country to have a completely lesbian version of the Bachelorette called "Princess Charming" (analogous to the gay version "Prince Charming"), we now have a gay version of Love Island called "Charming Boys" (50% former Prince Charming contestants / 50% newcomers). This new show is seen as a response to the major point of criticism of the previous format where everyone felt obliged to like the Bachelor/Prince even if they actually preferred another contestant. So now, in "Charming Boys" everyone can 'couple up' with everyone which is just more realistic than all of them only adoring one guy. And the big hope is, of course, that there will also be a female version named "Charming Girls". Unfortunately, Charming Boys is already being criticised for their lack of diversity which is fair because half the cast comes from the former format Prince Charming which has also been criticise for the exact same thing.
That sounds cool but not sure if there is a way for me to watch here in the US

Yuup... And I could find gay anywhere-a grassy knoll, a cloud, the moon, the bottom of a shoe-but I cannot find it in brooke x JL. Brooke is giving "you're cute, fun, I like to be around you, but I just don't feel it" and JL sees it too because there is just a hint of "o no please love me" in her.
Been there, on both sides at one time or another lol.. always sucks.
Brooke feels comfortable and safe with Jamie because of their history but she's struggling to find the relationship love vs the friendship love she currently has. It feels like she is fighting every second for a spark with Jamie while with the others its just happening naturally. It seems like there are signs of an effort put in with Jamie that she doesn't need to put in with some of the others. Basically Brooke is trying to convince herself she wants to be with Jamie, while its easier to actually be present with the others. But that's just one little queer hearts opinion lol :)
I agree. It seems like Brooke wants to be open to the friendship with Jamie Lee evolving into something more, but it feels like in this episode in particular she's really realizing that that sort of chemistry can't be forced

"Why am I not feeling it??" It's not just you, Alayna. Because it's scripted. Because the producers decided they wanted a connection between Jamie Lee and Brooke, and so Brooke is being forced to play that out. No one is being led on. That's why the kiss felt so awkward and uncomfortable.

Brooke is quite lovely, so happy to get another episode of this from you Alayna!! When you started reacting to these, I went and binged Brooke’s season (I’m American, and using my v pn I watched via Australia 10play). Since then I’ve been listening to Brooke’s podcast with her gay friend Matty, and the two of them are so great! I also read her book- not for the faint of heart, but interesting & inspiring nonetheless.
What I will say, is that I feel like Brooke didn’t have romantic AND sexual attraction to any of the women on her season. Whereas, I feel like she had whole package attractions to Darvid and Conrad. It makes me wonder if she’s particular about the women she dates in real life, or maybe she’s more bi-romantic than bisexual? Just an interesting thought, that I get from what I’m able to see from the show!
It doesn’t make anyone any less bisexual, depending on who they’re dating though! (I’m a bi gal who’s been single for years, and obvi I’m still bi too) And of course we would love to see queer women love stories in mainstream television, but you can’t force things to happen. I think Australia should try again with only queer women dating on a television show…or maybe queer women and bi/pan guys? Might make things more interesting!

im sorry, but i feel like im questioning a lot of things. while im dating a dozen of you. XD its such good reality smutt. Like, none of its genuine. the genuine ones get their hearts wrenched to the last episode or get sent home. But why is it so entertaining.
Brooke gives “gals *actually* just being pals” with Jamie, and I definitely feel like she’s just trying to force herself to feel romantic love for Jamie at the behest of the producers. Which really sucks, because Jamie is super into Brooke and I feel like she’s just getting set up to have her heart broken.
