Im currently in a starbucks after visiting. They just added a statue of Tsukasa outside of the post office! A shop owner noticed I was taking pictures and invited me to his shop where they have a lucky star display. He even gave me some stuff from it as a gift! He pointed me towards city hall where they have a kind of museum for lucky star set up. Super awesome experience! Hopefully with the manga being restarted and the new spin off, they can have a second golden age for lucky star in washinomiya and everywhere.
This is living proof that Lucky Star still has a future. It has one of the strongest fan base in anime, and was a huge financial success, and to see all of this merchandise and stuff throughout this city is what makes me continue to believe that any day now a Lucky Star continuation or reboot will be announced
I'd love to see a new season as well! All the girls will be 32 years old at this time. Still lots of potential for a funny moe series that would be a slice of life in a very different time in a life.
I didn't know Lucky Star was based in a real town! Thank you for the tour, hope to go visit it once one day. This was one of my favorite anime and I know I would have freaked out when I was younger seeing all the decorations!!
I love how there's even merchandise for Konata dressed as Haruhi Suzumiya and Kagami dressed as Hatsune Miku. XD By the way, I've noticed that the Hiiragi twins got a lot of spotlight to themselves in most of those areas. Kinda wish there was just as much love for Konata and Miyuki as well since I love all 4 main characters equally. P.S. Loved the reference at the end. :)
Incredible. Words elude me. A tear escaped my eye. It's so beautiful. Lucky Star hasn't been forgotten. Thank you so much for this video, seriously. I needed this.
Lucky Star is an anime that I feel the need to rewatch every year or so. Your video does it a great justice, and only adds to my yearning to return for more adventures! Love the video, and looking forward to the next one!
3:17 Wow! It looks like they included the manga-only characters too. That yellow-haired girl with the sharp eyes, that is Kou Yasaka. That ash brown-haired girl is Miku Busujima. That long, green-haired girl is Tamaki Yamanobe. That long, black-haired girl with the sharp eyes is Izumi Wakase. It would have been great if there are OVAs based on Volumes 4 and 7, even if ufotable were to make them themselves.
woww!!! I love Lucky Star! Lucky star was my frist slice of life/college comedy back in the 2000s ! 🥰 I still have some merchandises too! Happy to see thats its still relevant and memorable
Been there in 2008, the Torii was still there. My profile picture here on YT is in fact taken in front of that black plaque. Seems like the drawing has gotten quite faded now though. On the way back from Washinomiya, you can stop at Kasukabe station where you find some locations outside the station and from there you can walk to the real-life school from the anime.
My daughter is a Fan of Lucky Star and I want to go to Japan to see what the scenes from Lucky Star would look like in real life I love all your videos thank you so much for making this one I love it even my daughter loves it❤😊
My Goodness never thought you or anyone would be interested in this place ,Thank you Ginger ,you'll never guess ... The mural painted on the shutters !!!! .. Behind the shutters is a well known business .... It's a snack bar... an organised syndicate who have an interest in taxing the shrine. .... Next door to the Mural Painted shop ...Izakaya master will confirm my name. I keep a low profile in Washinomiya
Thank you so much for this. Lucky star us one of my favorite anime I deeply care about, overtime it's being forgotten and stepped over by trendy anime but seeing these tributes to lucly star makes me so happy!.
I guess I can't express enough how grateful I am for this video because maybe I'll never get to visit this place. Thank you with all of my heart! Lucky Star forever!
Honestly, I had no idea this place even existed! But Lucky Star is an anime I quite enjoy, so I’d like to visit this place if I get to visit Japan again.
@@GingerGaiden Sure thing. Here are the exact coordinates of the house: 36.10037918173786, 139.65639756743147 I really can relate to this activity. I did it for many years with a buddy of mine. I think its cause this is the shrine area, maybe the others are featured more in Kuki Station but not sure. Glad you enjoyed the reference at the end!
I wish it was raining in California right now. Saitama looks so pretty this time of year

@@GingerGaiden I guess Lucky Star fans will only have to read the manga. The physical manga have been out-of-print for years.
